trust the reviews, this novel is a gem. Its soooooo lighthearted and fluffy. All the characters are soooo loveable. I cried so much not bc it was sad but bc im too sad to part with it T.T

IT WAS GOOD!! Worth reading. The plot is good as well as character development. Theres no 'love triangle'. The romance between the two protagonists is not forced. Their experiences together greatly helped their 'spark' and it was SOOOO FLUFFYYYY HHAHAHAHAH

Cultivation novels are a genre I don't usually read but I love the author and so gave it try and followed along with the weekly translations.
This was the novel I most anticipated every week over the year I followed it.
It is a fun and light story. There is a range of character types and all the interactions were just fun even if not very complex. No one is perfect and the world is not without obstacles but it is bright and hopeful world. Overall it was a touching and rewarding story that put me in a good mood.

one of the best cultivation novels, stress-free and enjoyable.

While reading this, I feel like being a good person... the antagonistic character has a sad past.

The envy, anger and liking of each character has a logical reason..

a slow love story (which I like the most) and a happy ending.

FL and ML interactions are so sweet, they hollow out my teeth LOL

for you, potential readers or anyone else... you should read this novel, the comedy made me smile ear to ear.. ^ _ ^

Im in the middle part of reading the book of The Dreamer in the Spring Boudoir and I can not help to get bored and irritated. I decided to pick this book to calm down my mood and I'm happy I read this book, can't help my self from giggling and smiling through out while reading the book, very refreshing story full of fluffiness. One of the best web novel EVER!!! Love the world building, the characters and their growth, the goodness of the “good people”. And the translation has done the story justice so if I can give this story a 10, I totally would!

I didn't get bored while reading this. That's a feat from someone who has a short-attention span like me. The story is very logical, I mean I didn't get irritated by the typical s*upidity of supporting characters. Despite having more than a hundred chapters, the story is not draggy and it flows naturally. This is my first time reading a book with this genre, I don't know if it could be considered as one of the best but, I really enjoyed it a lot.

The leads complement each other. The character... more>> development is real, it's not forced. As a feminist, I also love the way they treat women in here. It's very refreshing to read.

MC is music cultivator who is kind hearted, pure, extremely lucky, and easy to please. ML is sword cultivator who is cold hearted in nature but slowly melted since he meet MC. Both are deemed to be geniuses cultivator who have a high chance for ascending.

They both meet while MC is travelling outside her sect to broaden her view while ML want to find a person who buy his unpopular books (it's turned out to be MC). Later they decide to travel together and MC help ML finding medical ingredients for his illness.

There is none because they have no chance. Both MC and ML are extremely beautiful and both are geniuses. They are made for each other. Also most people in cultivation world believe that falling in love will be a hindrance for them to breakthrough more.

The story itself is enjoyable and has lots of fluffy scene although it's lack of fighting scene for cultivation novel type. But the sweet interaction between ML and MC is enough to melt your heart. <<less

As it says on the description, it’s a very laid back ascension story, but that doesn’t mean it’s boring.

The characters are very well done, no one is just a stereotype and the relationships, be it between master and disciple, shixiong-shimei, sect to sect are explained and grown in a way that is swift and flows with the story.

There is personal grow for both the MC and ML and their relationship, which is not rushed or slow but just enough to be believable.
And I loved the final thoughts (explained simply by the final line in the second extra) and how, when you look back, it’s in every part of the story.

because it was an open ending and they didn't even ascend, despite the MC was said to be fated to become an immortal. Perhaps she didn't want to ascend and leave the ML, but there's no reason the ML couldn't ascend as well since he was such a genius cultivator. Not really happy with the ambiguous ending, just not as satisfying. I wouldn't mind it as much if the title doesn't have the word Ascending, it has set up my expectations from the beginning and I am left a bit disappointed with the open ending.

Other than that, the rest of the novel was an enjoyable read. It was fluffy, funny at times, the MC wasn't dumb despite being a sheltered happy go lucky (and I mean really lucky), naive girl. The ML wasn't those mol*ster without consent. Although he was the typical OP lovestruck puppy following the MC around, but since he doesn't force the MC I could tolerate it.

The plotline was good (Author didn't keep repeating useless info), character development was great, world building could be a little better but not too shabby. The bad guys were sort of dumb but at least they didn't all curse the MC with the same words like in some novels (e.g. Evil Emperor's Wild Consort). <<less

This is one of the best romance stories I ever read. It’s light, fluffy, like eating a cotton candy. This novel is so comical, I can imagine all the scene and laugh out loud. So many misunderstanding between the character around MC and ML towards their action to each other. Because all around them are good people that focusing their mind into cultivation world, they are just a bunch of naive people towards love. Even the bad people are so funny. Guaranteed you will laugh and say “aaaaahh” when reading... more>> how they slowly giving you cavities from these couple cuteness.

It’s a must read for a slow burn romance lover, and you will falling love to these naive dense but super sweet couple. Thank you for the translator to splendidly translating this gem and introduce me to kong hou and zhong xi. Loooveee! <<less

This is one of the most enjoyable read I had, no doubt! I like everything about Kong Hou and ML, they are a delight. The world building is delicate and well-craft, specially the town where MC's sect is located. The world is so vivid, it gaves you the feeling that you might be able to go there with a bit of luck.

The world of cultivation is particularly refreshing, arrogant cannon fodder yes, but they have rules. Righteous sects really are righteous and even if some people can be a bit... more>> shady, they draw a clear line between cunning and s*upidly evil. The villain are more like a back drop and don't really weight on the story, but they are not totally irrational and have their own objectives.

Also MC is pure-hearted and carefree but she is not a white lotus who would let herself be trampled on. She has heaven defying luck but the way it's done makes it funny and enjoyable and it's not forced at all.

That author is definitively my favorite and I'll advise anyone reading this review to check his/her other work. <<less

I absolutely love every chapter this novel have, I can confidently say this is one of rare novel that can make you feel happy when reading it.

It still have its up and down, but mostly telling about the cultivation world and the MC story in her path to ascend.

All of the characters are amazing, I really like when people are acting like real people with heart when reading novels, the antagonist also have their own story.

I'd definitely say this novel is like a fresh hot tea in the morning, or... more>> like a hot chocolate you drink at night, it just feels comfortable reading this novel.

I wish there are many novels like this, I want it to be longer but the flow is just right and the ending is concluded nicely, it felt like reading a realistic fairy tale. <<less

its really sweet. Hurtful misunderstandings? Nope. Here the misunderstandings are for comedic uses only and are mostly quickly resolved without drama due to the straightforward characters. Revenge plots? Nope. No need to go out and kill someone to improve your cultivation, just the simple stuff
