Very calm story filled with fluff and minimal backstabbing and angst. Really enjoyed the close knit cultivation world and the caring elders. Good read if you’re looking for something wholesome and fresh

This has been one of my favorite xianxia and been re-reading this from time to time. Ascending, Do not disturb is a has this kind of slice of life with slow burn romance so ot's very light hearted. It didn't begin with love at first then proceed to chasing his/her but rather it started of with pure traveling friends until they realized their feelings. It just focuses on travelling/adventures and I like that everyone in the... more>> cultivation world love peace to avoid wars. Especially, the sects since they have their own style and principles.

I also like the FL's relationship with her sect, her master, shixiongs, shijie and shidi is very likable and kind. Especially her master and two oldest shixiongs who take care of her when she was little. They're sect has this kind of easy going attitude but if provoked they retaliate greatly harshly. A plus point that there's no jealousy between her sect so no drama or revenge thing.

I especially love her beginning relationship with ML it started with meeting a friend because they share likeness about the author of unrealistic cultivation book.

I also like FL's personality since the author describe her growing thus which also explained her changing of attitude and views. She's so adorable and has a great of luck! I almost found myself laughing when it comes to talking about her luck!

The ML however is kinda awkward and shy at first since they're generation gap is big and ML hasn't much awareness in regards to relationships. However, I would always kinda laugh at him when his doesn't know what to do or how to explain to FL. They are times when he has to lie to FL and his disciple/companion would always look at him as if saying shameless

The author is always been one of my faves! So do check out her other novels!

This novel is a gem, i'll keep my review short cause others have already explained the story.

It is one of those rare stories that I feel the FL and ML really are made for each other.

It really is a sweet, intense, calming, bitter story. And because of all the conflicting emotions, it has earned a position in my heart.

... more>> Sweet. Because of how caring and logical everyone is. Even the supposedly competitive people have morals and bottom lines.

Intense. Because of the overarching plot of evil cultivators taking over and sowing discord. And also the ML's semi terminal illness (i don't think this is a spoiler cause its in the first few chaps anyways)

Calming. This story really gives you an optimistic view on life, reading it will make you feel maybe life isn't so bad and even if people wrong you, you can choose to just be carefree.

Bitter. Cause there are subplots where people aren't as lucky as our starcrossed lovers, and some stories do not have a happy ending. Also because FL really just deserves the world, what she went through can be heartbreaking at times.

This is a total 5 stars for me, the only downside is that it isn't longer and I just have to reread the entire novel again and again.

Super recommended, it will be a crime to not give this novel a chance. <<less

Sweet and funny. Very likable MC and ML. So much affection for all of the side characters as well.

Very pleasant read!!! The story is fast paced (not too fast), slow romance with a very good story line, relaxing but very engaging and all characters are adorable I love them, everyone has their own personality and they support each other. There are no jealous people wanting to spit the couple and even the arguments and misunderstandings are so cute and funny. The fluffliest and the sweetest novel I've so far!!

My only gripe in this story is the constant nagging of how relationships never work at important part of the story. The way they repeat this feels forced most of the time.

But other than that, the story’s pacing is mostly consistent and is very enjoyable

It can be a breath of fresh air compared to most growth-type xianxia novels. Very fluffy.

Where will you find a ten thousand of words story or so, manage to be summararized into five words only?

5 stars - this story delivers exactly what it's tags says - heartwarming, comedy, doting protagonist, cute couple etc. That why I'm giving it full 5 star. Maybe for some the start was slow and boring but for me it was good because that's what story building means. So if you feel like stopping at the start then don't bother going further because you won't be able to appreciate the rest.

A very light-hearted novel. And when I mean very, I meant VERY. There is no misunderstandings or anything remotely close to a drama. This, in turn, creates an entirely different feel that is both sweet and refreshing.

Very good story. Premise is simple, romance is sooo slow but character development is good. Even the side characters all have a decent character development. 👍

It's a very light read but very entertaining, well-written and is so positively charming. I'm starting to like this author more and more. I love her How to be a Virtuous wife and Eight Treasures Trousseau, but among the 3 that I've read, I really love this one. Perfect palate cleanser! It plays games with the conventions of Xianxia, but is still using the tropes in a good manner. It has a significant romance component, and written with a female lead; that is normally a turn off for me but here it is surprisingly good and rather low on useless drama.

Except for the obvious and rather vaguely motivated villains, everybody else is surprisingly rational. Even those afflicted with greed or jealousy react in reasonable ways and almost never get to homicidal/suicidal feuds. When I decided I wanted to read the novel, I was a bit skeptical about it because I just finished the other novel of this author, The Return of the Goddess. The writing of the author was good as usual but I just felt that the author focused too much on the MC and not about the character development of the ML as well. I agreed with one of the translator notes in one of the chapters that this novel is the author's turning point for making a novel that describes the highly enjoyable development of the couple instead of just jumping to the bed right away lol.
