When he awoke, Pei Yi had transmigrated into the wealthy young master of the same name in a book.

The original owner was ten years old when he fell into the pool and nearly drowned. When he woke up again, he was a mentally impaired child and became the laughingstock of the entire Imperial Capital circle.

The profit-oriented elders regarded him as a bargaining chip for business transactions, and followed the instigation and arrangements of the Bo family to make him marry the Second Young Master Bo, who was blinded in a car accident.

A fool and a blind man, this was obviously a humiliation.

It was a pity that others didn’t know that Second Young Master Bo was the most important villain in the book.

Not only would his eye disease be cured, but he would become the only person with authority in the Bo family.

As for the foolish original owner, after being kicked out of the Bo residence by the protagonist of the original book, he still couldn’t escape the fate of falling into the river and dying tragically.

. . .

Knowing the plot of the book he transmigrated into, Pei Yi met “his” nominal marriage partner, Bo Yueming, not long after—

I don't know how to start this review. All I know is that it ends well.

It ends well for MC and ML. It ends well for Li Yuan and Yan Cen. It ends well for Father Rong and Father Yan.

Though I'm not sure how it ends well for OG Pei Yi. I think this is the only part that wasn't answer throughout the story.

... more>> First of all, I just want to vent all the bad feelings I got while reading the part of OG Pei YI's fate. He deserves better.

Though I'm not sure if the brain damage is curable. What I'm sure is, he could've been in better condition.

I really am mad on how he died and what happened to him in the banquet.

And also for ML, it feels so sad how they make a villain out of a person that just want to survive. In the first place he deserves a whole family. He's innocent as much as his scumbag of a father's current wife and children.

I just hate how he and OG Pei Yi original fate was meant to be awful.

Speaking of ML, I couldn't forget his mother. His mother deserves the best😭 if not falling for wrong person she should've been happier and successful. I actually commend her spirit of raising ML despite the insult she receives from everyone. It feels so sad that they couldn't be a family again in the end.

Next the OG MC A.K.A Pei Huan, actually when Li Yuan entered the story I already felt something fishy about Pei Huan's achievements. Idk, maybe the years of reading this type of story pays off haha!

Anyways, I could never get over about the fact that Li Yuan even if his fake father died could've been successful if not for his s*upid of a fake mother's doing.

I would never forget how they destroyed his future. He could've been in better place than the earlier chapters. That's why it's satisfying to see when Pei Huan's fate and Li Yuan's fate exchange. It's so well deserved.

Applaud for Li Yuan's real mother for having character development but I wouldn't forget the treatment she made OG Pei Yi gone through.

Next I guess the OG ML, Yan Cen, I was actually looking forward to Li Yuan's and his story I thought that the extras was about them. Anyways, in earlier chapters I actually thought that Bo Guancheng is the OG ML, idk why haha! Anyways, I felt like his character was quite an NPC one.

I mean he felt like a decoration😭 I was even shock when he just fell in love for Li Yuan and he's chasing him already. Idk if it's because of the lack of perspective but yeah, I would prefer if they atleast had their scenes cause it feels so sudden for them.

Lastly, saving this for the last. The extras, I was actually quite happy that the extras are about Father Rong and Father Yan even though I'm expecting Li Yuan and Yan Cen's POV. Anyways, I felt like they're the family of protagonists. I mean, one transmigrated while the other two rebirth.

I do actually have a bad view of Father Yan at first because of the sneak peak they shown of the MC's past and also the behavior they showed. But after knowing the whole story. I was really curious about how they ended up. Cause it just feels so sad for that happy family to end in misery and tragedy just cause of a malicious intent. And somehow, this part just shows how internet can be a cause of someone's death, misery, tragedy.

Anyways, I'm actually quite amazed just how Father Yan handled the root of all the misery they had gone through. It's so merciful and mature. Especially from him who had lost everything just cause of that small incident. I'm just so happy they both ends well.

Also, I don't really know what to feel for MC in the extra. Idk, I felt like it wasn't him and it was also him in the extra. But I just look at it in the perspective that the MC transmigrated to the story and has been healed by ML. And the extra is for his Fathers to heal each other and create a future for the Pei Yi that haven't yet gone through the hardship MC went through.

On the last part, Idk if ML remembers their life from the novel or it was him that make the rebirth of Father Yan happened. I mean, it's not bad to speculate no?

P. S. The best line for is when Bo Yueming proposes and instead of asking the typical question of 'will you marry me?' he asks this:

“Little Sir, am I qualified to be your lifelong partner?”

It just feels so sincere and loving🥺 <<less

This is a fun story. Very dog blood as expected, so don't expect the story to be too realistic.

I like the main cp and I also love the side cp - I wish we had more about the side cp, partially because the side cp's shou has the best storyline in my opinion. But that's just my personal preference.

I do agree with other reviews that onelce the main dogblood drama plots are done (around chapter 70/80), the story just doesn't hit the same, but I pushed through and completed... more>> it to finish off all the additional plot holes.

The translation is also really good, no complaints here! I thank the translator for taking the time to translate this story.

I definitely recommend reading this novel, but would also prewarn that the chapters do get longer than the first handful. It's not really a novel that can be binged in one day, but two to three days is possible if you dedicate your time to it. <<less

I have read the entire story through Pei Yi and author's lenses.

However for me the real MC was always Li Yuan since the moment he was slowly introduced from his OG ending to current one. And tbh he should have deserved better than that OG ML Yan Cen (cause if not for transmigrator Pei Yi OG ML still would've ended up supporting that Pei Yuan).

Yet again our OG Pei Yi didn't get anything better (or justice) either at all but got a transmigrator soul bound by having his body to... more>> end up with his previous neglecting intended spouse (whom he had rejected but forcefully pushed into regardless his mental and physical health issues, where he was abused through and through whether knowingly or unknowingly) and giving light sentences to his former abusers to shine more brightly.

Btw Good read actually as I only lurked for more Li Yuan scenes but this current MC (but seriously couldn't see him as one or felt any emotion for a MC I usually felt whether in positive or negative light) was also alright giving his best fight to whoever crossed him. <<less

Enjoyed reading this hHaha

What the title saysss ~so both of them are pretending (MC) and ML when he gradually has sights again (he just want what to know what the MC wants to do haha) it's not love at first sight!!! MC's really witty too on his scenes and a good fighter (using his mouth most of the time hahaha) u bully ml? Be careful or MC will get back to you

There's a hurdle for ML b4 marrying MC, pls do give time to MC too cause he has past... more>> trauma huhu not gonna spoil it but yeahhh Was good that MC's Adoptive parents got a 2nd chance

Thats how novel goes with 2nd chances/transmigration/rebirth

But in reality we dont have any second chances (especially when we have someone who died) so pls Communicate properly and take note if ur family/partner has some problems or it will escalate. <<less

This is very interesting. I love how this novel doesn’t have any cowardly and weak character. As well as the consensual and mutual benefit is beautiful to read.

A great example for why I refuse to read yaoi novels.

Great story, interesting characters, and good comedy.

Some plotpoints and characters feel a bit simple and one-dimensional, but the story still manages to draw you in.

... more>> BUT, the gong resorts to manipulative and borderline coercive tactics in his romantic pursuits. It really ruins the story.

It feels almost inevitable in yaoi and is the reason I promised myself to never read yaoi novels again. I tried to read this novel anyway hoping for something different, but I was unfortunately proven wrong, as usual.

If you can ignore this aspect, the story is pretty good. Personally I can't, which is why I subtract a star. <<less

So Far So Good... So GOOD!! ABSOLUTELY SOOOOOOOO GOOOOD!!!

So far I trust the author and had never been disappointed. So I will believe the rest of the story would be good! Amen! 🙏

Anyway I Love the progress of the development in their relationship! Not slow nor rush!

... more>> The MC being good at playing fool. And ML who observe MC's actions even before he can see, and can tell that MC wasn't a (total) 'Fool'. I Love how they help and backing each other with their own Acting.

Even when the truth still hidden, they support each other honestly.

Love how both growing their feelings and realise it. Sure MC still somewhat shy and in denial, while ML does realise fully his feeling. But none of it was rushed! It was smooth and make sense!

Also Love many other side characters. The female characters being Cool, and the so is other male friends. And the Housekeeper/Assistant also great. Also especially the Cat being adorable!

The Villain does makes me want to choke the life out of them... So I can't wait for the Grand Face slapping.

All Face slapping so far was nice. Nothing exaggerated nor lack. And we still only in half of the story, so nothing too big happen. Can't wait for more!

Pray the rest of the story as Satisfying 🙏🙏🙏

Anyway I Love it!

Finished at 5 December 2023:

I already though the story was Ended PERFECTLY!! But the Extras also give us such different satisfactory!

Didn't expect we would get the things but we did it in extras and it give me more than just Satisfaction!!!

I'm ABSOLUTELY TRULY LOOOOOOOVING IT FOREVER WITH MY ETERNAL LOVE FOR ETERNITY AND BEYOND IN ANY UNIVERSES!!! <<less

MC: Pei Yi

ML: Bo Yue Ming

It is a YAOI, ROMANCE, REVENGE, Transmigration. MC and ML are really so good.

MC is the unfavoured fool Young Master of Pei family. He was married to the Blind ML as a Business Marriage. MC, who owned a Game Company in his real world, transmigrates into a book he read.

Spoiler

Cousin of MC is the Protagonist of the original novel and ML's Best Friend is the other original Protagonist.

Overall This was good..... enjoyed the first half but kinda lost interest in 2nd half. I like the Romance between MC and ML though there were some times I didn't like it.

I am Surprise with ML toh.... I expected him to be typical type (you know) and he's still kind of sometimes but sometimes (especially in later half) he becomes bit different, respectful and Green.

Well, I enjoyed the extra very much, actually I was hoping for more of Li Yuan and Yan cen Story (Still hoping) but Parents story with... more>> second chance was really good too
Spoiler

Though it could have been better with the way they dealt with the whole Rong's trauma and mental health. Although he didn't fully got cured but his long time past life depression got over in some minutes after regaining his memory........ I would have prefer more of their story and slow recovery and healing story than MC and ML Romance again in different world....... not that I didn't like it but I am more interested in healing story after second chance.

It's good. I just tend to lose interest once the main couple gets together and this one isn't an exception. I might catch the rest of the chapters on a re-read.

I feel the story is resolved enough for my tastes by c76 at any rate. Forcing myself to continue when there's nothing else I'm interested in learning would sour the experience.

The MC and li are both great. The story is basically family politics. There are a lot of exceptional women in this who are treated with respect and are not,... more>> by any means, weak. Which is definitely a huge plus. I love grandma.

The MC and li are a great match, the supporting characters are likable, and there is copious amounts of face-slapping. An enjoyable story, and there is pretty much nothing offensive here.

The author did a great job and this is well-worth reading.

Hmm. How to say, I thought I would definitely like this because I really like tropes like this but looking back I can see why it didn't hit me as good as I thought it would be. This is cliched. Dont get me wrong, I love a good old cliche but uhm..

First, MC. He's protrayed as a strong intelligent man which he is! But I just really dislike how he's portrayed as such and then the next when he's drunk he's all whiny and cutesy. I know its not mutually... more>> esclusive but it's just overdone, he cries, he pouts which just melts ML's heart! How cute right!?— Not. I wouldn't actually mind it but it just appears hypoctrical especially at the start. And also probably because ML keeps associating MC with a kitten and author's active trying to make MC look all cute that it does not look cte at all. I mostly skimmed those part. Have to say that's one of my major ick when reading novels.

ML is... a rich CEO. I liked him at the start but at the end, he grows more possessive and something something. Overall, the main CP is just your ultimate cliche CP.

The side couple, OG ML and second shou is also... kinda eh. I domt know. The whole nivel vibes is really off putting lol.

But, I do think its good its just not for me. <<less

Solid 4 star story. Good writing and good translation. The story loses tension in the later parts.

The story is a feel good one with just enough face slapping to be fun. Everything works out rather easy but there are some bumps along the way.

About MC and ML, well, I like the flow between them. One pretending to be blind and one pretending to be a fool but both are kind of calculating and powerful in their own ways.

ML will regain his eye sight at around chapter 30 but will... more>> not tell it to anyone and keeps pretending. Though he finds out about MCs acting pretty fast, he decided to keep MC company in his acting and didn't treat him out. If course this produces lots of fun moments, since MC is still unaware.

They interact in a rather warm way that makes this piece to a feel good story.

Unfortunately in the later part is getting a bit boring. The villains are down and the story has more of an "extra" feel. In my opinion it drags it a bit out.

I think it's nice to read this novel once but I don't think it will be a piece that I want to read over and over again. <<less

4.5 Damn... after this I need to check my blood sugar level.. I think this sweet is already rush into my soul... omg waaaaaaaaa extremely recommended for u who need sweet focus story.. actually I could say it was a cliche transmigration story.. but yeah.. the sometimes cliche is better, it contains good mount of face slapping, our MC and ML are likeable characters, we had 2 side cp but author not too focus on them... but still manage to write satisfying plot for them... for the business and game... more>> engineering element.. they not confusing actually it superficial this novel more focus on sweet and emotional development <<less

Finished!! Although this reads with the typical modern, family CEO drama formula, this is definitely one of the better written ones!! It fills my want of drama, great comebacks, and all the characters are balanced out without feeling like things are dragging on.

The MC and ML are fun to read as well. MC is bratty without being too much of one. ML is cold but does softens up adding depth. Both have really good character development and is incorporated well into the main story.

The other thing I really like was... more>> the side characters introduced. Everyone has a purpose and developed almost as good as the main stars. Even better was that the side characters never took away from the main characters but instead shared the limelight and grew together!

I am super impressed with this story. Easy 5 stars. <<less

A truly heartfelt story.

Because I've read at least 8 novels from this author we have statistics people :D Honestly must say that this author really grew up in terms of emotional exploration. We are not separated from the plots and episodes that make the novel catchy to the audience, things like wealthy families and infighting, but the story feels full and feelings are abudnant and the links between actions and consequences feel connected. It is up to authors to keep the story upbeat and emotions rolling and after reading I... more>> thought it was a success.

The story starts with a pretty cliche setting. You can't get away with it :) You must get people hooked, we love this~ We have MC who transmigrates and becomes a cannon fodder and ML who is temporarly blinded, but will eventually get better and kick asses. So we are set to wait for several things, such as family ingeritance infighting, conspiracies against each other, complicated family relationships. Step by step our characters go from being a marginal couple that is left outside as a pair of fallen king humiliated by being married to a fool to defeating foes, who plotted against them. This is love and career type of novel too (both MC and ML develop, but among all adversities they also start having feelings for each other).

Tbh I was quite sappy at that beginning and I couldn't help myself from thinking how horrible prejudice can be, poor original owner who was not treated in time, no one worked with him to get him better, on the contrary everyone worked to get him agitated and he was basically exploited. If it wasn't for Pei Yi, the original Pei Yi's fate would be definitely tragic.

Our MC is pretty sharp and neat character, self-reliant and cunning. Always like when MCs and MLs can have their own careers and one is not just a pendant of the other, but they are also responsible in what they do, it's truly charming. Being in such unfavorable situation indeed he could play along for a while, after all being considered a fool is such a great disguise. But being treated so well and being cared for by Yueming, I could understand Pei Yi falling in love with such a great ML. Let's agree ML is great. New age of MLs peeled off the previous silent and cold ascetic look, stopped being simply only domineering. Bo Yueming has a story, has a past. Together they developed really well, especially when they started to be honest with each other and not stay silent, but share their worries. They eventually managed to heal the scars both had and tightly grasp each other's hands to confidently walk towards the future. Even if the beginning is not that deep, obviously, at least they share some sort of affection, even if it's shallow. Pei Yi knows who Yueming is, for him it's a handsome and cool villain at first, but with passing time becomes the human he wants to protect. On the contrary Yueming's feelings are quite the same, although he is now in the process of being on the verge, Pei Yi managed to bring him back to light again. I don't think there was need for anything exaggerrated and author did exactly that. This is why I think it felt nice.

The story was neat, I don't think there were any loose or unnecessary plots, as a novel having "family drama" of course we have a certain "goal" to reach, this is why there is anticipation to conclusion to all main and secondary characters which we eventually get.

So you can try if you're into such stuff :)

PS: If you're interested and are not afraid of MTL, this author also has other interesting novels to follow. Recently they launched new novel 万人嫌养子被迫联姻后[穿书], which is similar to this one in vibes. Or other interesting works such as 我和我自己灵魂互穿了[娱乐圈] (one person crosses the time, younger soul travels to the future and older soul goes back to the past), there is also 白月光手撕替身剧本后[重生] (a rebirth novel with the theme of double-healing too). I like their vibe of giving MLs more space and backstory, which is not just a short paragraph. <<less

I meant to give 4 stars and honestly my fault for not reading Slice of life. But I really thought this could have been a shorter story. Like all the major plot gets wrapped up by chapter 75. But there are like 20+ chapter after that. I’m all for the development of the second couple but like... SIGH.
It’s a very fluff, dog food filled novel with a lot of funny and heartwarming interactions. But it think it kinda lacks the revenge impact in it. And it’s my fault for not seeing the slice of life tag before I started since I love drama. This wasn’t for me.

A pleasant read!

It was a typical us-against-the-world, powerful backing ML, face-slapping business world kind of novel, done appropriately well.

Some fun tension in the beginning when they were both 'wearing their vests', got a little draggy mid-way, but recovered by the last part.

... more>> The romance between the two leads was well-paced and believable. Good chemistry and funny couple, good back story development and eventual tie up of the whole transmigration, although the actual reason for it isn't explained, but it's fine.

I liked the side characters too! Especially those who got fed dog food, lol.

Laughed, hehe-d at the implied ahem parts, felt depressed at the tragic backstories, but... no tingle and no tears, haha.

Might re-read but not high on list. <<less

So, where do I even begin?

This story ended with everyone getting their happily ever after... except for OG Pei Yi.

Speaking of OG Pei Yi, the way they treated him throughout the story? Honey, it was a crime against good taste. Brain damage? Unforgivable. Getting dunked on at the banquet? Absolutely disgusting.

And then there's the ML. They tried to paint him as the bad guy, but honestly, the dude just wanted to survive. He was as innocent as a newborn lamb in this whole mess. Plus, the guy deserved a family,... more>> not just to be some sad sack because his dad was a jerk.

Speaking of Li Yuan, I knew something was fishy about Pei Huan's achievements the moment Li Yuan entered the scene. Years of reading this genre, folks, it pays off. But hey, at least his life did a 180 when his fate swapped with Pei Huan's. Talk about karma coming in hot!

So, if you're looking for a story with drama, sass, and a healthy dose of "what the heck were they thinking?", then this one's for you. Just don't get too attached to any characters—you never know who's getting thrown under the bus next. <<less
