Mingzhu was an unfavored concubine-born daughter inside her family. One day, she caught the eye of his Highness, the Crown Prince, and was directly sent to his bed. She became his outside mistress. For four or five years, she was locked up in a small courtyard without seeing the outside world. Until one day.

The crown prince was going to marry a wife and without any hesitation granted her a cup of poisoned wine. Only then did Mingzhu realize that she was just a toy he kept to relieve his boredom. After her rebirth, Mingzhu from the bottom of her heart had only one wish : to escape from the cold and heartless crown Prince.

The man despised her for her status that was too low and thus couldn’t marry her. She said “It’s alright”. The man saw that she was well-behaved and sensible, and loved her even more, saying “I will take care of you for the rest of my life.”

Mingzhu pretended to be moved on the surface, but when the time was right, she carried her pregnant belly and immediately ran away. After the person ran away, the prince only then deeply experienced how to write the word regret.

So, I'm not done reading it yet but I'd like to make a review midway reading.

I think there are atleast three things I'm curious about in this novel.

First is whether the Crown Prince did send the poison and what's his reaction or what happened to him after her death?

So, Idk what chapter but there were some sneak peak about what happened after MC's death. It shows the momo that feeds her the poison kinda like being punish?

Next is the scene where the CP and junzhu (maybe the crown princess/ not what it means) kinda like arguing? More like the junzhu telling CP that why he didn't marry MC if he loves MC and why he didn't know MC love him something like that.

But that was far from enough, I want like the detailed scenario how he regret or whatever.

Second, I think this is more like a what if for me but I really am feeling sorry for the happy life the MC supposed to live if she didn't catch the CP's eyes. Although, currently she said that what she felt for her former fiance is just a puppy love. MC still held an affect for him which is sad because it was short time.

Lastly, I wonder how will things turn out. Will she be able to escape? Will there be happy ending? O atleast a good conclusion? Cause I don't think I want her to end up with CP (if he's the ML) without him regretting or suffering loses.

Done reading the translated part. I'm lazy to MTL it so I'm going to write my review already.

So, maybe because I haven't read it till the end but, I really can't see the part where MC is being indecisive because as of this moment she is still trying to escape.

Next, I feel really sad and sorry for what happened to MC. Even though, she didn't love her fiance (since it's more like an admiration) but if only she didn't catch the CP's attention she'll be in a more favorable position.

MC is the biggest victim in this story, although there were other characters like MC's ex-fiance who were also a victim. But you cannot deny that ever since the CP taken a liking of her everything declined. It's sad that everyone thinks it's her fault even though she's the biggest victim here. Lastly, I think it's more of a happy ending if she end up with the ex-fiance but by this part it's clear who's the ML. <<less

I feel angry on the ML at the beginning of the story because he forced the MC to be with him despite that she is already engaged. And then he only treated her as bed warmer. But later on, I hated the MC because I think she is unreasonable to ML.

I still like the novel though because I find it not boring to read.

At 1st I'm reluctant to read this story because of the review...I hate s*upid FL who is blindly in love.

But try it anyway because I'm looking for new ancient setting novel to read... and I always check out the story personally... although I don't have high expectation with this one... and then after reading it I was confused... is the story I am reading the same as the one mentioned in the other review?

It's not that tr*sh, I actually like it and from chapter 1 straight to chapter 92, I... more>> was not able to stop... and want more.

The FL is not s*upidly in love with the ML... waiting for her to escape <<less

since this was a male yandere and it was a second chance I had high hopes for this like Yh ML is kinda tr*shy but he changes for her but there was barely any character development. The first few chapters were good but then the plot just kept dragging on ... more>>

and the ending was really annoying because she says she has no feelings for 2nd ML but she never clarifies that to him and till the last chapter still meets up with him and has intimate moments like hugging him and letting him wipe her tears obviously miss leading him and she says she likes the ML again but never says he is the only one to him therefore making him think she still likes the 2nd ML as well but he has ‘character development’ which is why he is no longer super possessive of her and just lets her meet up with 2nd ML and the novel ends with him saying he is afraid to tell her he likes her and it doesn’t matter if she still likes the 2nd ML like what... There is so many unresolved misunderstandings

Well I came here after WCS but no no interesting sh*t happened

I kinda adored that story because there was no love triangle or tr*sh, meanwhile this one? Oh good gods.

Well the ML appears to be the first son of the main couple in wcs, sharing the same name & all, but hey how is he the crown prince now??? Weird.

Anyway probably gonna drop it.
