Absolutely excellent. 10/10. Starts out small-scale with a few people trying to survive day-to-day in a shelter and grows to hundreds of people working together to save the world. Action-packed, surprisingly emotional, and a satisfying ending. Bonus points for having not one but two (2) Kung-Fu Hustle references. I'm usually too wordy in reviews but I won't say much more here. In other words, it's not a shelter dedicated to raising cats and dogs;... more>> the shelter is the "pet" that the MC is raising and his trusted companion from the beginning to the end.

The MTL for this one is surprisingly good for a Korean novel, so you can try it if you want. <<less

The story itself seems pretty good. The name is misleading so far though, the family's 3 dogs have mysteriously disappeared and haven't returned yet. And it doesn't seem like there will be a lot of (or any) non-human residents. The translation is bearable, but also I read a lot of MTL (I'm impatient) so I have plenty of experience in figuring out the general meaning of oddly translated sentences/paragraphs. In one chapter the gender pronouns of the first side character changed (I'm fairly certain it's a guy but the pronouns... more>> in one chapter were oddly she), in a different chapter there was oddly a statement about basic zombies setting fire to an iron gate, and in another chapter, the MC chose the corridor option from the building menu to create a corridor, but also there isn't a corridor option? (Options are: basic, bedroom, storage, or something like that). The TL could've taken more liberties during translation to make it more readable.

Edit: reading the above comment I now see how you're supposed to interpret the title, but it definitely reads more as an animal shelter than the shelter itself being the pet <<less
