reading/read list

Keeping a list of ongoing and complete BL/yaoi series that I have yet to read. AKA hoarding :)

Just a list consisting of some of my favourite bl novels that comforted my lonely heart and soul. I love each and everyone of these couples, as well as each of their characters. They made me swoon, laugh, and cry all throughout their journey to “forever” *cringes*.  “Happy Ending” is probably a better way to put it hehe. ... more>>

Anyway, if you want to feel all sorts of emotions, sensations, etc etc. Go ahead and try some of these novels. I’d be glad if they are able to touch your heart as much as they have mine.

These are BL novels that I would like to read but translations seem to be dropped or have links that are no longer available.  List may change over time such as if someone picks up the translations, or I find more that I want to read that have been dropped.  This is also a way that I can better track some that might just be slow in translation.... more>>

I know some translators prefer doing those that have a small number of chapters left.  I will mark those that have 26-50 chapters left with +, and those with 25 or less with *.

If you are a translator that view this list and decide to pick up or continue one of these, THANK YOU!  I would not be able to enjoy as many BL novels without you. <<less

the wife-chasing novels follow a general pattern of: MC loves ML but ML treats MC badly and/or does not reciprocate > something happens to MC, such as death, amnesia, sickness, or he falls out of love with ML > ML belatedly realizes his feelings > ML tries to chase the MC and win him back

As the title says. Short stories and novels that have an actual story, relatively interesting characters, and also smut to some extent. Quality of smut... more>> varies though. All are stories I've read (and mostly completed). For some of the titles the translation left out the smut - google raw title and you can find some sites which have it. Some authors like Ka Bi Qiu and Shui Qian Cheng also use AO3 (under pseudonyms) and Haitang /Longma (free but you need to register on the site) to upload smut chapters. Otherwise sites like shukuwang are a good source. <<less

sometimes i'm not down to read 200+ chapters back to back so i try to space shorter novels in between to let my brain unwind !! here's the completed/can be completed shorter novels that i've read !!! i hope it helps you find some solid ones !!!... more>>

♡ tips for novel enjoyment (esp for newbies to the site ! ) ♡: 

♡ give each novel a fair chance even if the rating is low ! some people just rate 1 star for no reason (especially for BLs and GLs) without even reading it, which is highly unfair ! sometimes, you'll come across GOLD in the lower ratings ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

♡ check the OG novel publishing date ! older novels generally tend to have more questionable morals than ones from ~2019+, and they tend to be really cliche BECAUSE they were likely the pioneers of the genre (i.e. QT, apocalypse, etc...) you don't have to read them, but just keep that in mind !

♡ don't like? don't read ! ... But PLEASE read the synopsis and a few reviews to make sure you know what you're getting into both plot-wise and content warning-wise ! I see some people start ranting after going into a silly sweet QT novel expecting 9000+ level IQ protagonists and plots and,, i'm sorry but you're not gonna see that. manage your expectations and i assure you, you'll have a nice time! <<less
