Tang Shan wakes up, only to find himself in an unfamiliar house.
A stranger tells him that he is his lover— Li Yuanyu. He says that Tang Shan has been in this city for quite some time. Tang Shan doesn’t believe it, because he’s obviously not gay, so how could he fall in love with a man? But there’s Li Yuanyu’s affectionate and attentive care, the artwork in the attic, the nostalgic warm smell of Borscht…

Memories of the past begin to resurface, proving that both of them were in love.
That is, until he discovers the message he left for himself before he lost his memories, telling him he has to escape, no matter what it takes…

This is a brilliant story packed in travel size. The pacing is not rushed, it's just perfect for the mystery. It has a little bit of supernatural too.

The story is actually not that creepy, but I just can't help but to feel depressed throughout the whole story along with the main characters.

I'm not gonna delve into the characters' personalities, it basically just shows how selfish humans are, ready to hurt and disregard everything just to have things go their way. And yes, I'm talking about the MC and the side characters too.

Just heed my advice and try to read the whole novel without hating anyone, lest you would be left with a guilty conscience when the story ends.

Near the end of the story, the author let us to see the ML's view and logic. He was actually aware that he was being unreasonable, which helps me to sympathise with him.

It was a Good End I guess, but not a Happy End. You could even say it was an Open End since the MC showed hints that he still has some remnants of his memory.

What a story! Its really dark and gave me mixed feelings.

But it's a good read. Please read and start the countdown to your mental breakdown. ?

Hmmm, not the best but not the worst either. I liked how MC is suffering and trying escape from that weird place. ML was like loveless child. I think this was a toxic story but not one of the stories I'm interested in.

ummm, so I dont think I can consider this story as good. Its really weird and the ending was disappointing. I really wished that he could’ve let Tang Mo go to reicarnate and that he would have follow him to begin an healthier relationship.

Praising the consistency of the characters. I continue to read because I'm curious about the mysteries and happenings in the town. After that it's kinda dull and the ending does not solve anything. Well, that's what the tragic tag means after all.

Hmm I’m not sure how I feel about the story - eerie, mysterious? Unresolved? My 5 star ⭐️ is for the great translation work. I would give 3 ⭐️ for the storyline - the story is different but I didn’t feel a sense of satisfaction at the end. I recommend it for those who likes mysteries.

to be honest I kept reading it out of curiosity just wanted to know will there be any change but story kept on revolving in circles. Anyways it was fun reading during my tea time. Smut not there, vaguely r*pe mentioned. No description of how the MC look like not much other descriptions. Novel was hazy but anyhow good job done by translator.

It's a nice a very nice mystery unveiled little by little with slow hints and clues.

I really really liked Tang Shan, the MC, a lot. As for the ML I will let people judge, but 'yandere' does not cut it. I'd like to suggest he may jsut be a plain villain. Do not get me wrong, I love it.

Tang Shan deserved so much better than having his memories and self erased again and again just so that ML could have him be in love with him. ML is litteraly keeping him from being reincarnated and reborn in the most selfish way. He suffered so much only to fail at the very ending.

At least the narrative agrees that MC and ML love is not a good thing for them or anyone involved in the story. <<less

damn. I don't know anymore, it's like a mixed feelings I get when reading this, I feel happy and at the same time is just like.... neh.

I don't know anymore ;-;.

but it's okay tho, the novel is not that bad, it's kinda good, has a mystery stuff. probably rememberable and it's short chapter that feels long.

The chapters are pretty long, but it's a short story overall. The mystery was awesome and riveting, right from the start. I love the eerie vibes. Also starting the story from Tang Shang's perspective, as he wakes up with his lost memories was a really cool, immersive way to allow the reader to learn about the environment and slowly uncover the truth along with him.

The ending makes me sad. : (

Wouldn't it have been better if LY told the truth to TS, allowing him to mourn and accept that he can't return to the real world anymore? That way he can move on and not be tormented by guilt towards his fiancée, and the horrible web of lies wouldn't have spiralled to the point of not return.

Really dark...

I don't know why, but I thought it might by more like a type of "overbearing president" who tries to helps his lover finds himself due to lack of memory. I couldn't be more mistaken. I'm not really into psychological plots, but this one left me with great impression and I couldn't sleep until I finished everything.

The plot is just destructive yet has it magnetic vibe, which push you until the end.

You need to read it yourself to come into conclusion that not all bl are ending happily for... more>> everyone... <<less
