I MTL-ed after two chapter and this story still made me hooked even after I finished reading this. This story is written very well, the drama did not drag-on too much and full of plot twists.

Of course, because I MTL-ed it it wasn't that easy to understand the story especially when it's involved with social media war. MC is a little bit OP but it was necessary. After all, his enemy is a mary sue with golden finger.

I just recently finished reading this novel. I came across it several times, but always put it aside because of its name. I didn't want a sad story. That's why, don't get discouraged because of the title, it's nice.

It is an easy read, I was excited to see what was going to happen. Both characters are quite well written, though they do not evolve over the course of the novel.

I Jist finished the novel and lemme just say it is one of my favorite novel so far!! If I have to compare it to other novel, this novel is similar to 'Rebirth of The Movie Star' except it has some 'supernatural' elemants (system and body core etc.) and MC got transmigratted into a book.

One thing that bothers me is the lack of ML personality. The author didn't explore or focus much on his character build and the same thing could be said the villains and other characters. There's no other POV other than MC's. I wish the auhor would let us know more about other's thoughts.

And maybe im just dumb or slow but I still dont understand how his core and the system work. Maybe the author explained it somewhere and I overlooked it but until the end, im still confused about the world build. Maybe others would get it but I found it hard to understand.

I was initially hesitant to review this work due to its length and perceived dullness in January. However, after two months, I find myself replaying charming scenes between the main characters in my mind.

I rate this novella 5/5. Even without re-reading, it has been stored in my subconscious as an enjoyable piece of literature. Credit is due to the author and translators.

I almost stopped reading because of bad translation of some chapters but I'm glad I didn't.

I will only say that this is a really good story. The plot is good, the flow of the story is good, the characters are well made and not 'cardboard', the ending is good. I'm only hoping that I can re-read this again with better translations all throughout the chapters.

The premise and beginning of this story was really interesting, but as the story went on it sort of dragged on its feet. As some other reviewers have said, the author probably could have condensed the novel by half and had a better result.

It might have been because of this novel or some that I read after, but I also developed a sever disliking of novels carried by random netizens comments to explain what's going on. I feel like I should write a review for this novel, as it is one of my favourites. I am always coming back to it when I am in a reading slump or am feeling down.

Lets start with the story:
The story starts with nothing original. It is about MC (Xie Yang) transmigrating into a book he read a while ago. He occupies the body of a cannon fodder that is destined to die and decides to change his fate. He meets the og bodies husband, to whom he got sold to by his father. The story is mostly about faceslapping and turning around the fate of his husband (Qiu Xing) who is terminally ill with brain cancer. There are some fun (and a bit unhinged) twists at the end. So its worth sticking around.
It is noteworthy that there is a lot of netizen talk and weibo plays a huge role for the face slapping in this series. It is after all a showbiz series.

Characters:

Xie Yang (MC) : He is a musical (and it turns out also an acting) genius. He is very smart but also kind and compassionate. Yes, the MC is OP but he has his charms and he loves to tease the ML.

Qiu Xing (ML) : He is just a big vinegar jar and I love him for it. He is so tsundere and constantly jealous. But at the same time he respects MC so he isnt going to far. Yes at the beginning there are struggles in their relationship because of his cowardice but its still just super sweet. He acts all mighty but just consists of 50% vinegar and 50% sugar.

Relationship:
Their relationship is so sweet and heartwarming. They protect each other and try to understand each other. It is a slow burn series and it takes a while for them to establish their realationship but that doesnt mean that it isnt filled with dog food during the way. There is so much flirting. I will mention (as some critizised this and dropped it right away before the relationship is more fleshed out), their relationship starts because of money. As I mentioned before MCs father sold him to ML and MC turns it around and makes a deal with ML. Yes, Xie Yang is in it for the money at first but it changes overtime. The relationship slowly develops and you experience it with them.

Conclusion:
This series isnt the most original, realistic, most beautifully written or best translated stories out there BUT I still think its worth reading it. It became the only series I am constantly finding myself rereading. The story is just like hot chocolate or a fruit tea: sweet and heartwarming. If showbiz and weibo faceslapping is nothing for you and you hate that, this series is not for you. But if it doesnt bother you, I really advice you to give it a try. I am giving it 5/5 stars because even with the stories flaws it just touched my heart.

Xie Yang is one of the smartest characters I've ever encountered; both in the progression of the changing story and his relationship with his husband.

The story constantly changes from what was written so he must constantly change to anticipate the other characters next moves, and at the same time, try to save his husband's life – who he is growing to care for.

Thankfully, his apocalyptic past arms him with skills and courage he'll need to survive. <<less

The best part about this novel is that Xie Yang despite being the ‘shou’, knows exactly what he want from his relationship and is the one to instigate changes in his relationship with his ‘Mouse’ (if that is not a cute name for your loved one I don’t know what is). Sure he is extremely OP, sure there is way too much of face slapping going on but the relationship between the two leads is sweet and that is enough for me to know that I am going toreread... more>> this novel again.

Also the premise of transmigration is actually quite good in this novel and I wish that it could have been explore more instead of being finished of in one chapter. <<less

The translation's a bit rough sometimes... well half the time but if you're looking for hurt/comfort with a happy ending you're in the right place.

I really like the ML, he's a fresh take on domineering CEO because he's "mean" but not a bad person (he doesn't neglect the MC, do something that would genuinely set the MC up for failure, he owns up and makes up for every mistake he rarely makes, and he doesn't forcefully prohibit MC from doing things he doesn't agree with). Low how the MC is proactive especially when it comes to making the ML confront his feelings and come out of his shell to express them, like he's purposely doing and saying things to make the ML work towards bettering himself and his attitude towards his feelings.

Also I find the final antagonist of the story very interesting since when you first read about them you didn't really expect them to reach that level of craziness or insanity.

My only complaint is that I wish the supporting side characters got some side stories too. I wanted to see more of them and wish they got a little more detail in the end but everything turned out all right. <<less

One of the best novel I've read. Sometime with long novel I tend to get bored towards the end. Not this one. It gets more interesting the longer I read. The scheming and the deep mind of the villains n our MC intriguing me to no end. I love their plotting to our MC n how our MC ruthlessly plotting against them back. My only complaint would be lack of any snu snu moment QvQ it still very sweet tho between our tsundere ML n MC ~

Extremely cute couple, beyond adorable. That being said, I feel the plot was lacking, and there were no stand out side characters. I think the mechanisms of the mc’s ability and regression, and the system held by the female MC of the novel, were all left by the wayside. This novel definitely deserves the more than a thousand people giving it 5 stars, but it deserves much more.

The chapters are not so long that reading becomes tiring, you can read many chapters at once.

There are also no secondary couples, which I thought was great, after all I'm there because of the main couple's story.

It's that couple, this is an emotional story that I really saw the love in the couple, they are a couple who fit perfectly into the wedding vows "In joy and in sadness, in health and... more>> in sickness, in richer and in poverty, loving, respecting and being faithful to you every day of my life, until death do us part" So, there was no moment of them being poor without money to prove my point, but the rest is all there 😂

I love both the protagonist with their flaws and perfections. They just compliment each other so well. 😭😭😭 istg this book has given me some very high as well as realistic expectations. Also also QX... Be my husband as well 😭

I absolutely loved this novel. Although, plot is a bit slow at times, it's well written. I also I feel like the romance is extremely well done. I love how the relationship feels balanced, and how they finallyestablishtheir relationship. I'll probably come back to give a better review in the future.

I used to read this a long time ago, always loved it and waited for the next chapters eagerly despite struggling to MTL it. But as with all things, reality and responsibility had eventually occupied too much of my time for me to continue to camp online to wait for the next chapter.

I love this story so much. This is just prime example of a healthy relationship. They love and trust each other SO MUCH. Never a moment of doubt, no unnecessary love triangle or whatever. It's just them from the beginning to the end.

I really enjoyed this, it was indulgent and cute. I didn't get why MC had to be from a post apocalyptic world, but you see why by the end. First as a plot device, then as you find out where the golden finger system came from (no spoilers), so it felt nicely rounded to me.

Everything has clear purpose, characters you're meant to not like are fleshed out and aren't needlessly cruel (this is the entertainment industry), and I like the progression in the relationship between MC and ML.
