Thus, Shang Ke started a never-ending cycle of constantly throwing away his miserable life.

He would always show himself as a martyr while letting others cry over his death.

It was because of a woman’s curse that Shang Ke was hit by a car and turned into a human vegetable. This led to him becoming bound by an unlucky system in which he was cursed to die. The most unfortunate part was that he never cheated on anyone’s feelings. The reason for why he was cursed by a woman was because of a guy named Qi Chen. Qi Chen was a ladies man, and he would always use Shang Ke as an excuse to break up with any woman that he was with. As a result, Shang Ke was always blamed for the breakups. Since then, the main character could only be forced to cross into different worlds. He would thus experience for himself, the hero’s “thrill”.

This novel is good, satisfying, worth reading. The MC is good, the story, the arcs, the content is also interesting. The ML is not that good at all. I basically hated the ending.

I really like the tragedy etiquette and the arch death proposal, I looked for something similar and read "how to die as heavy as mount tai" and "let me take this blame"... could anyone recommend similar novels to me?

I confess that it took me a while to like this story, mainly because I read it while taking a break from How to die as heavy as Mount Tai which has a deeper characterization and emotional depth than HDS.

However, with time I started to like this novel more. The main point of reading this is that the arcs complement each other, the story of MC and ML gets deeper as the arcs go passing. What made me take a star was the totally unnecessary behavior of the ML in the last very common final arc which seemed a bit rushed or incomplete. However overall I don't think this was a bad read. <<less

Because of a lot of sad endings this novel had me cry a few times but it will all change when the MC is able to re embark on the same journey again and change the fate... you will, l understand why some world's had to have such sad endings after reading 3 to 4 arcs. After discontinued reading this novel since the 3rd arc and finally chose to read this after almost a year hiatus, and today I'm FINALLY finished!!! ヽ (´▽｀) / took my almost 4 days to read the rest of the arcs.

Satisfying Ending even though this novel never stop their Tragedy... I want to laugh and cry at the same time.

Why I stopped reading this novel before? Because for someone who like Fluff Non-Tragedy story, reading this Novel as THE VERY FIRST QUICK TRANSMIGRATION/WORLD HOPPING I HAVE EVER READ THAT... more>> TIME, I was very uncomfortable with the Tragedy moments. I was very confused and lost with the 'Death' that keep happening. And very confused with the System. Lots of Why This What That Just Why appeared in my mind that time. So yeah, Any QT/World Hopping novel with Tragedy in their Genre is Advised to NOT be Your FIRST QT/WORLD HOPPING Novel reading experience Ever! Of course unless you LIKE Tragedy genre novel.

But Anyway, the Story itself is Different from many QT I have ever read. It Gives You Tragedy and some Faceslapping moments. The Tragedy doesn't lie, it hurts me and the ML.

The Deep Plot is Top Notch! I actually misunderstood the ML at the beginning and thought he deserve to suffer...

I Thought Qi Chen, the Childhood Friend of Shang Ke aka the MC, was the ML!!! And because his action cause MC to encounter accident that lead him to Heroic Death System, I though QC who I THOUGHT was the ML, deserve to suffer in many worlds. But apparently the Childhood Friend IS NOT The ML!!! The ML's real Origin is Someone else!!!

Anyway, MC is Loved by All Readers because he's just so Good and in every Arcs his Personality is getting Better and Better. So Yeah, MC is Very Lovable Character!

But ML... 1/3 readers like him, 1/3 dislike him, 1/3 tolerate/neutral toward him. Personally I Love ML. He's FAR from Perfect! Have no problem doing Dub-Con toward MC, and VERY Possessive. But I like him enough because ML's actions NEVER touch my Bottom Line and NEVER touch MC's Bottom Line either. Believe me, I have Bottom Line that could make me give less stars/point to story, or worse; Stop reading the Story altogether Immediately and wishing to crush and burn the character.

ML has Pros too!!! If not, I won't ever put 'Love' toward him.

Would take care of the children MC left behind when he died because that's what MC wish and he took it to heart. Would take care of Children together with him too. MC did it few times. That was BIG POINT for ML. Because I know other Novel with VERY POSSESSIVE ML who dislike the Idea of their lover have child; fearing their child would steal their attention from them.

ML in this novel never feel forced by the kids. He always tried his Best! But he always Sad! And Tragedy always Happen...

Anyway, the Author did Great Balancing Tragedy and Fluff... Because I read this when the story already completed.

It has Satisfying Ending. It's not Perfect, but this Novel is Truly one of AMAZING WONDERFUL BEST QT NOVEL EVER!!! And I Love it SOOOOO MUCH!!! With my Eternal Love, Everlasting, for Eternity, and Beyond aka in many After Life!!! <<less

If you are looking for a bl novel that is good then I recommend this.

And if I remember correctly there was some heavy stuff ming the hastags. If you don't like them don't read (about the r*pe one. A body that that the MC got into (?? Idk how to say that if you read novels like this you understand I think) was r*ped but the MC I think not. I really think about an another novel while writing this review and idk I'd the arc was in this one or in that one (if I remember what was it I put it here?))

For the starter the story is so heartbroken that I cry *sob* *sob* (╥﹏╥). Then it's gradually start getting bored in the middle and stoped for a while. Well, YEAH! I continue read it. I'm so grateful that I continue (ﾉ≧∇≦) ﾉ. After the bored part it's start where the most important thing to know!!! For the ending, although I'm not satisfied but it's for the best for the end cause if it's continue I don't know when the story will end LOL ?!!! AND for NEW AUTHOR and don't... more>> have enough experience or ideas I recommend you to read this piece cause it's always have new elements!!!

I didn't thoroughly enjoy this and that's mostly because of the ML and what got me through were:

- The absolute suffering he went through every time the MC dies (a few times it made me cry especially in the Re: Arcs' first chapters)

- The MC (tho I wish he put his foot down harder when dealing with the ML's bullshit)

... more>> - The MC's kids, whether biological or not, they were so lovable 🥺

- The comments under each chapter; they were so chaotic but super entertaining lol They even evolved depending on the arc. It was great lol

As much I hate the ML's scummy ways, I would've rather had them be together than the 2nd ML that one was a piece of work that should be tr*shed. <<less

A reader's journey to find another gem similar to QTFWOD... Ended up staying here for a while...

The concept is quite interesting because MC is doomed to die heroically to complete the mission given by the system. Like in FOD, ML is also portrayed as a "male god" or like someone with pretty high status in every world. It's okay, it's my guilty pleasure to see god ML loving and doting the MC so much. BUT! I don't know if I raised my bar too high after reading FOD... here's what... more>> I thought:

  • From the 2nd arc, the ML is kinda irked me. Yes like some of the reviews said, the ML is kinda forceful towards MC, and it is the type of weird and awkward-ish forceful (?), not the cute and lovely one lol since the MC didn't seem to really like it (you might say it's noncon/se*ual harassment lmao)
  • The chemistry between MC and ML seems kinda bland and rushed. Like they just interacted once or twice, plus the ML seems kinda cold at first (at least in the first 4 arcs I've read) but then later, he suddenly developed a HUGE interest towards MC, to the point that he SUDDENLY wants MC to be his lovers. Like, really, it's so sudden and makes u feel like "what?" when reading that part where ML confesses (or more like he forces MC to be his lover lol)
  • IT'S SO WEIRD OKAY like I know MC has his own golden fingers from the points he gets after completing the mission but I still don't get the sudden confessions... (I'M SORRY REALLY-)
Of course I don't expect many faceslappings because I think revenges are not the main point here but I just don't feel the thrill to continue... <<less

I'll be honest, this isn't just a story but someone's experience...I mean, I can't accept that such wonderful things written in the form of a novel is just a story.

It's absolutely amazing experience reading this and I say it really left me a deep impression in me.

I read this novel a few years back and relied on Google translate to finished it. It was a pretty fun read because the MC is quite a character. Although he has a system to accompany him throughout his world hoppings, he relied on his skills that he gained from the system's rewards to accomplished his mission unlike in FOD (another qt novel) which just let his system solved everything for him which to be honest, really irks me a lot. Sorry for the comparison, but this time I have... more>> to say that I am liking this novel far more greatly than the latter.

What I liked about this novel is that the MC always pushed his limits to the extreme because his missions were really quite challenging. There were struggles, there were angsts, and there were even babies! Mpreg, yes! Hahaha. Oh, and my most favourite part of the novel, the redo arcs. YAY!

The ML which we all know if you've read a lot of danmei already, is a competent, cold, alpha like, besotted character yada yada that all Chinese seems to prefer on their male leads lol. But what's really interesting here is that in every world, the ML shows a variety of characteristics that set him apart from his previous incarnation. So although he was the same person, you can surmise that he is a different individual albeit having that same cold character that exhibit in different worlds.

I can't say that every arc is unique but the way the author handle the world building is excellent. There are twist that can put a smile in your face especially when he turned into a certain type of fungi or a certain type of aquatic animal, and he have to do all his tasks despite being a different species. Yep there are certainly a lot of barriers for MC to overcome which made me so engrossed and they amused me so much.

The only problem I have is the ending. It was rather lacking. The way the author ended the story is for me, pretty underwhelming. But that's just me okay? Over all it was a nice quick transmigration novel that you can recommend for anyone who loves this genre. In fact when I'm quite bored, I do admit to re-read some arcs from snowy codex site. I'm actually grateful to the translator, snowy sama for finishing this project. <<less

A really entertaining read, MC has to go through each worlds completing missions using heroic deaths. He also gets to go back to most worlds and finally have a happy ending there.

A huge plus point (for me) is that the mpreg tag actually applies to MC!! So many times I've been disappointed by that tag hahas (it always only applies to side characters for the quick transmigration genre)

The biggest issue with this work is the messyness of its overarching plot. As more and more of the backstory and ML... more>> gets known its just gets very messy and confusing.

Each arc had an interesting world setting, often times made me wish there was more for the story. Though I gave a 5 the novel is closer to a 4.5, the ending was a bit irritating as it didn't really give any closure. But overall a great read that had me crying and laughing, or cry-laughing every arc. Would read again.

There are actually lots of bad review under this novels, however because of the high rating and people giving it bad rating due to the main story. I decided to not read the end of this novels.

Arc 1:

I had to say im actually impressed. I really like it even if it might since short or simple. It's sad but I don't really feel reluctant that the MC die.

Finished it. But can't believe I took 4 days to complete it. Anyways, I hate the last world (real world). The ML is... more>> a bit like a Scum but I hate that he forget MC after the MC die. Although he remember back but I- still don't like it. I hate the ML seems like an incompetence man. I mean, sure the MC is powerful but why the heck the ML just let the MC be bullied by his family. I actually would have given 5 stars but for some uncomfortable intakes in the last arc it deduced to 4.5. But, overall the story is really good. The most fun thing is to know how MC will have his heroic death. Also warning it's a tragedy story and though I'm really not fond of tragedies but in this one I can handle it. Although some parts really gets sad and heartbreaking and saying heartbreaking.... it's to the point of crying and I'm one of those who hardly cries reading stories.... more>> Again really not that sad just few parts and they are really very few. However, the best part of the story to me is the MC and the worlds. He's really good and someone who worked hard to achieve things. Although, the system is something like a cheat code but Shang Ke really had to work hard to achieve certain things. In the end, he turns out to be a op but you can understand how much efforts he had given to become so awesome. Also the worlds are really fun to read
And about the ML. He's really pitiful. In most of the arcs, you will like him, feel bad for him and curse the author for making him suffer so much whereas in few arcs you would like to open his scull to see if he's the same one and if he's then what the hell he was thinking. I mean seriously. Nevertheless, compared to MC the ML is so so. He can be very likable in one part whereas very hateable in another part. One thing is refreshing that MC doesn't take shits for his shitty acts and tries to give the same dose back. In the end, I think they both compliment each other and you can see both of them suffering the same for being together with each others. I just think it would be better if the first parts of the last arc didn't happen and the last chapter would have been made an arc. I mean why seriously why. Thought later half gets good but still. I just can sigh for it. But good thing is that ML did have character development. Some Re arcs are really good which is a plus point.

Not a great story but not a bad one either. It's just a good story

Just the adopted kid from My Heart Beats for you Part 2 arc (ch. 114-118) is so neglected its not fair. The ML even goes back in time basically and while I'm happy he still adopts the kid even though he got Sheng back they still they just don't seem to care about him at all??? Why have him there if this is how you are going to write him omfg. He is just a patsy to give the ML time to be with Sheng. It just bothered me so much.

And then Pupu??? It was cute in first part of the You are my Faith arc, (ch. 20-32) because Sheng really seemed to look out for her, I mean she was still pushed to the side but not to an unforgivable level. But the second part?? (Ch. 119-123) Why even have her there, also she ends up marring a boy like 10 years younger than her in a throw away line, which ugh idk, if it's gonna be a throw away line just say she married some kid she played with at their mini park they made. Man she was one of the better treated kids but still

Don't get me started on the Sentinel & Guide arcs. Just what ever I guess.

But outside of that it was a fun read. Some arcs I enjoyed some arcs I didn't, which is how it always goes with world hopping things. I really liked the first arc because I'm a sucker for that type of angst, and I wish the rest kept it up but I understand why they didn't. I wish more of this was aimed to make me cry or pull at my heart strings but it was more lighthearted than anything else.

Overall the main thing that really got my gears grinding was the kid stuff. I just wish they didn't include the children at all if they where just to be ignored. Could have been a great tragedy set up but it just fell flat.

Arcs I liked:

I Only Need 72 Hours to Fall in Love with You - this one does what the name of this novel says, I just enjoyed it and have reread it a few times

My Heart Beats for You - only the first arc of this. This one also lives up to the name, it was beautifully tragic and I love the dynamic between the characters in the fall out of Sheng's death. It's nicely bittersweet in a way.

Let Me Protect You - I'm a sucker for secrets and Sheng has to keep so many from the ML in this one, and it just all blows up in the end so spectacularly.

A + A - some parts of this I didn't crazy like, but over all I really loved how it started. The first few chapters of this arc are 10/10 and I just liked them. A bit lackluster at the end but not bad.

Covenantor - could have been a better tragedy, ended up being a martyr story instead? Sort of. But I liked the premise, and I liked the car scenes. The family drama had me going too, love that stuff.

Becoming Your God - It was cute, and overall a fun one. Didn't like the end, it was boring.

Arcs I didn't like:

Let Me Protect You - I really liked Pupu's character and she is the best treated child but still. Eh, overall the only character I really even cared about was Pupu in this.

Everyone Loves Little Immortal Mushroom - I just really didn't like this one. It all rubbed me wrong idk.

I Am Not A Merman - Ugh, it was just weird. Not a fan at all. Some weird stuff going on with dolphins throughout this whole novel tbh

All of the going back arcs just where whatever to me. I like the look back at the ML who is traumatized by this loss but other than that naw.

The translation was excellent. There was no typo and no accidentally wrote the wrong names. The footnotes were easy to understand and Chinese words that didn't make sense in English were translated nicely to accommodate English readers.

Now onto the story itself:

  1. The Main Character's character development wasn't bad.

    Shang Ke was very flexible and absorbed information easily like a mushroom. He went from a normal person who was afraid of pain and death to the badass main character who OP-ed out even the main lead in most worlds, but these developments were written well, with explained step by step that flowed naturally. His love feeling development wasn't forced or sudden after a one-time papapa. He actually tried to resist and observe his man first before he went on to purposely seduce his man in latter worlds.

    This character was very interesting to read and his humor was also nicely written.
  2. The Main Lead had no character development. He was simply a walking d*ck with a working brain. Wouldn't recommend this man to any of my friends.

    Even though he was the reincarnation of Chen Xiao, his personality in every world was different. But the moment he met Shang Ke, he suddenly became the scummy main lead who only thinks with his dick. Main Lead even become more scummy after he papapa with Shang Ke!

    This Main Lead might irritate some readers who disliked forceful character.

    Wu Du! The second love interest that Shang Ke never look at so actually this character wasn't a love rival to the Main Lead. His sudden appearance as Qi Chen was very unnecessary and easily overlooked. As the person who cursed the Main Character and Main Lead, he really had nothing else to do, no use at all, and whatever happened to him after he cursed Chen Xiao wasn't interesting nor important. Wu Du might also be reincarnated together with MC and ML in several worlds, for example as Love God Neil or Zeke, but it wasn't important to the plot. This cannon fodder character was too useless.

  4. The story was nicely written. The plotflowed naturally, although the time skip was weird sometimes. The most amazing thing was how the author put a whole world-building in short chapters. The comedy was cute, especially the System and MC's interactions.
The most important thing when reading this story was to remember that it was just a story. No matter how impossible the world was, no matter how weird the papapa was, it's a story and the warning tags were presented up there. If you don't like it, that's you.

Two tags that were overlooked: Somnophilia and Necrophilia (Shang Ke papapa with Di Kui who was a zombie, a very much dead walking corpse who still looked handsome.)

is novel, I held back for a while, I didn't have high expectations for this one but boy was I wrong. This novel was SO GOOD! And yes, the endings of most of the arcs are BE, but later on, (slight spoiler if you hate BE)
