Ling Meng is a high-ranked casual gamer playing “The Legend of the Galaxy”. Infamous for his poison tongue, he’s known in the forums as Lemon Dad and he carefully cultivates a following of black powder fans over time. The trajectory of his fate completely changes the day he plays a match against the popular god-tier live stream anchor, Mangosteen. A meme created out of his dying words makes him a countrywide laughingstock and he begins to stalk Mangosteen to determine his rival’s weaknesses…to beat him in a match for revenge!

They fight with each other, stream with each other, and even exchange a naked photo with each other.

This is the love story of a lemon and mangosteen.

The story is so good. The progress may be a bit slow (for me), nevertheless, I enjoyed it until the end. Even if there were no steamy scenes, the hot kisses and dirty talks would suffice T3T

  1. The starting is abit ??? but as the story progresses, it gets sweeter and sweeter.
  2. By the end of the novel, prepare to get diabetes together with the fans in the novel.
  3. Lemon is so precious... and he doesn't know it. I want his expression packs too.
  4. Mangosteen was shot 1000001 cuteness arrows throughout the story by his cute BF. He fell SO HARD.
  5. The ending HAHA. Watch out Mangosteen, Banana is out to steal your man!
  6. Really Recommended! It is a light hearted read that is super funny and adorable at the same time.
  7. The fanart is so cute!

At first when I saw MTL I thought the translation would be bad and a turn off so I've been shelved this in reading list for a few months. But yesterday I managed to finish it in a single night!!

Tailor did a good job of editing the mtl. The translation are not bad, I get a gist about the joke etc, the story is straightforward and lighthearted and full of fluffiness~~ I only wish theres more mangod pov OxO...

I think this novel portrayed one of the funniest and most creative dialogues I have ever read in danmei. Some Chinese jokes, expressions and references don't really translate well over English but even somebody (e.g. Me) who has no prior knowledge to e-sports or modern Chinese humor would be able to laugh along with this story. There isn't much drama, it's a straightforward story and it's so precious. I appreciate the MC's relationship with everybody. He might have a poisonous tongue online but he's definitely a sweetheart online. The ML... more>> is funny, refreshing and dreamy. This CP is for the Gods!

I adore Xiang Jiao and his interactions with the MC is the best, I always look forward to reading it. I can't help but wonder if I am reading too much into Xiang Jiao's responses to the MC but I secretly ship them in my heart. Especially in the last chapter when he decided to study in MC's university even when he admitted that he disliked studying. I am so sorry ML.

I LOVE THIS BOOK! TRULY TRULY!

It may be a bit unrealistic, but this novel is specially fluffy, light and sweet. I love both MC and ML and I just want to read more, I feel like this was so short.

The ending was specially funny and sweet.

You won't regret piking up this novel. Translations are good too.

I am particularly astonished! HOW DID IT ENOUGH ?! I WANT MORE!!!

Sorry, I'm still dealing with the loss of this wonderful story that made me laugh a lot.....

This is a very hilarious and cute novel, with great characters, they could even write extras about the "ghost" that I would read with pleasure! I left this romance thinking about a fruit salad kkkkk

The quiet / chaotic funny way everything happens was really cool, the romance was not the fastest thing, nor the slowest, it was something in its time and it... more>> was also not unjustified and out of the blue. And in the end, the MC discovering the career he would follow and many other characters struggling for his dreams gave me even an encouragement to study a little more and pursue what I want...

I highly recommend it to anyone like me who likes not too complicated stories that have a lot of comedy and cuteness, just a little bit of joy to enjoy ~

Currently at Chapter 58, but it really is the fluffiest fluff I've ever read (at this point in time) !! It's just perfect when you're looking for something light, funny, and fluffy to de-stress.

There's not much plot, but it isn't a bad thing since it works? I enjoyed it very much despite not knowing anything much about games!

Another danmei jewel that is game themed. Our MC is so HilariousxD together with Our ML who just go with the flaw of MC, teasing him but at the same time dotes on our MC. Their family is sooo cute too haha

Defjnitely recommended and I like how the cp plnas for their future

This book was so so so cute! I finished it in one night and it was really lovely! It had me laughing out loud at the antics they got up to! It had no angst, it was just 100% fluff and dog food. The characters are really likeable, Their friends are sweet too, and it has a good mix of game stuff and other things that happen to them in their daily lives. I would recommend this book if you want to laugh, eat some dog food and enjoy some... more>> really lovey dovey fluff. Having a bad night and need a pick me up? This is the book for you! ^ ^

I really liked that everyone was 100% kind to them about dating. Their families were instantly supportive of them, they date openly on the streams and later they attend an awards show together hand in hand and everyone is just very kind and supportive. They're able to be the most popular streamers while being gay and dating and it's honestly just really nice to read. It really adds to the fluffy and kind mood this book has!

This is a really late review since I've been reading this for a really long time and I feel guilty because I only thought of rating it and writing a review just now.

This is my "comfort book". The novel I read when I'm feeling sad and my heart is feeling heavy.

My heart bursts with sweetness and happiness everytime I read it.

It's comedic, cute and funny and if you want a break from serious novels then I recommend this. It's a light and casual read and I don't know how many... more>> times I reread this but yeah I just really need a break. <<less

I honestly enjoy it even thought is was kinda hard to understand some of the sentences as they appear to be silly (since the shou is very meng and silly)

The two characters are cute, the story made me laugh and like the romantic atmosphere from time to time. :3

Not long, but not too short either. A cute lil journey about a confused bottom finding a career and his goal-oriented top~~~ I have't read it in a while, but, if I recall correctly, this has, like, no plot. Oh well. It's cute, and that's all.

A fun, light-hearted read about gamers immersed in competition leading to IRL dating. It's a great take on college life while keeping the gaming world realistic as well. There's a lot of gaming terminology that I had to look up while reading: strafing, AoE, unit names, etc. I definitely recommend reading up and watching GIFs/clips for these terms because it helps visualize the gameplay.

The plot took slightly unexpected turns as this was my first time reading something from the gaming genre. There's a lot more emphasis on the characters' career... more>> choice, ambition, and goals. Although it is 83 chapters, they're all short and act more like snippets with lots of "fan comments" sprinkled throughout. <<less

The 1st Gaming novel I read. At 1 st I was reluctant cos I was more into wuxia story but after reading so much wuxia they got kinda repetitif and cliche so I tried this.

Surprisingly I enjoyed the story. It's not too long and there's a lot of fluffs.I would actually give this 3.5 based on story and 0.5 for Tailor's translation. Bcos I think there are greater stories abt gaming. Still u must read it. It's a relaxing, filled with dog food moments.

This story is sooo sweet, and easy and a delight.

No drama and no drag (some of the bl with no drama tend to draaaaggg, but this one flows vrey well).

The MC is the cutest (not s*upid or dense) and I loved the descriptions of his face expressions.

The ML is just so cool but in an inocent way. He knows he loves the MC and will persue him with care.

Overall, if you like bl, this is a must read :)
