Silly and naive Gong and a slightly delicate Shou with a sharp wit.

Qiao Yuan found himself waking up in an ancient world as a young man who had just gotten married and attempted su*cide. He had plans to escape this place as soon as possible.

However, the husband he acquired turned out to be quite good. He was good-looking and obedient. He took care of Qiao Yuan by buying him ointments, clothes, and giving him massages. Gradually, Qiao Yuan started to feel that staying in this world might be possible.

However, he knew that he needed to improve his living conditions. Therefore, Qiao Yuan started to sell goods on a stall and began his journey towards becoming rich and successful.

After completing his military service, Yu Dameng listened to his mother’s advice and married the little ger of the Qiao family to repay the debt of gratitude for saving his life years ago.

I really like the coquettish MC × pampering ML trope. +-.。-+ (´｡• ᵕ •｡`) ♡ @Future Husband, take notes!!!

I particularly like this one because it finally didn’t feel like the ML was coaxing a child to behave by giving them treats or following their wishes.

I loved the novel! It’s really heartwarming. The MC and ML got along from the beginning, and they have a great relationship throughout the novel. It’s the main reason why I loved reading this novel.

The ML’s family was super kind and supportive. I quite like their... more>> family dynamics.

The MC's typical tragic backstory pops in quite often, and I would’ve preferred if their retributions came a few chapters earlier. Still, the general atmosphere of the novel is warm and sweet.

It’s pretty smooth sailing, but it’s not like any of them is an “overpowered” character or a Mary Sue/Gary Stu. They live a simple life with successful businesses thanks to some of MC’s knowledge from modern times.

I used “simple” to describe it because the MC didn’t bring his relatively “poor” family to the imperial capital and turned them all into intelligent and cunning people who could contend with the nobles. <<less

Plot: Although the story is cliche, I like how it was written.

MC is not a sissy, and not too chunibyuu.

ML reminds me of a husky. Just when you thought that you got a domineering dog you were given a silly dog instead. He's cute that way.

Antagonist: played their roles well of being face slapped well.

Overall: enjoyed this short read. :)

Although it's kind of a fast-paced Slice of life, I enjoyed it a lot. Still good to pass your time. It's just wholesome. No dog blood dramas.

I almost dropped this novel because of MC. The 1st half of the novel was frustrating and painful to read. The way MC treated ML and his anger issue...... this kinda remind me of couple from TBSC (another frustrating and annoying MC paired up with sweet Innocent ML) . It was so annoying and frustrating to read and I wanted to smack MC everytime.

Thankfully their relationship got better and sweet in later half of the novel.

Overall It was Ok to read. I enjoyed the revenge/faceslapping moment at near... more>> end. Really loved the relationship of MC and ML's family. I also liked MC good deeds towards the Village and others. I hoped that there was more to the story with MC and his Friends side. Also we didn't get to see MC preg...... although atleast we know he has a child...... that too a mischievous one.

Somewhat between 3 and 4 stars. The story is fast pacing and is rather light. It has enough details to be interesting but lacks too much to be intriguing.

I did like, that MC keeps to the village and near town. He himself is not branching out to "conquer the world", though he finds mighty friends that do it for him. He also keeps mostly to the food department and does not dabble in too complicated stuff.

The flow between MC and ML seems to be OK, but a bit... more>> boring and one-sided. ML is not mentally impeded but he is slow on the uptake and does everything ML tells him to do. This might be cute sometimes but I personally dislike this kind of unbalanced relationship.

As I already said, the story is not too shallow and has enough details to make it an smooth read. Although it is not detailed enogh to light out the side characters or even the main characters themselves.

The translation is also smooth.

So while I do not highly regimen this story, it is still a good read and short-lived. It is OK to read it. <<less

Yu DaMeng is such a lovable cutie !! He's caring, hardworking, and a real softie (he's perfect.) My heart melts every time he feels shy 😭💗 He spoils Qiao Yuan and willingly spends his HARD-EARNED money to give him the best things. I also really like his family and basically everyone in the village except Qiao Yuan's relatives :3

So far, the story has been enjoyable. I'm really looking forward to the cooking parts since I love food and everything Qiao Yuan cooks sounds delicious 😋

I rarely find in-laws whom is nice like this one and it's so refreshing! Yu Dameng is kind and obedient, his mother is also very good! I hope Yu Laoer (second brother) doesn't cause any problems. To be honest I really sicken with transmigration stories where the main character takes the 'food' route. I really fed up because some novels kind of to much focus on food rather than the character? I often find novels that can cover a whole chapter discussing the process of cooking food. But this one... more>> doesn't focus too much on food and I hope it continues like that in the future. Qiao Yuan kept throwing his tantrums to Yu Dameng, hope I can stand it or if not I'm gonna dropping. <<less

I absolutely adore Qiao Yuan. What I like about him is that unlike other shou's he's not afraid of his emotions. Instead of feeling like the sky is falling down when he falls in love, he's more like my husband better love me too! He's also not afraid of papapa. What he wants, he pursues. Whether it is love or papapa or money, he is not ashamed of it. Very refreshing.

It's very refreshing how the MC only focuses on the world/life around him and living happily in his sphere, if that makes sense. He does make friends in high positions, but not once does he think about expanding beyond his village and becoming a world-dominating figure (despite having many opportunities to do so). Also, despite mpreg being part of the setting, MC and ML refrain from having kids in the main story, which was a pleasant surprise. The MC explicitly states that he does want kids but he wants to... more>> stabilize his current career/funds before he jumps into it. This is a very mature choice which most writers would not choose to write.

The plot is very satisfying, though the last major plot point was a little out of nowhere for my taste. I like that everything wrapped up neatly, but I actually think that it could have used more time to explore more and dive into the world/characters. The characters are really nice- I wanted to know more about the side characters too, which isn't really a common occurrence for me.

Overall: a short and satisfying fluffy slice of life. I'll probably come back and read this multiple times! <<less

Unlike other ‘transmigrated into ancient life’ novels, the pace of the story is quite fast.

Like in the second day, MC is already making money.

W/c I guess is good since most similar novels have a very slow pace.

I just dislike MC’s personality. It was ok at first but as the story went on, I find him irritating

Specifically how he treats ML.

He directly told ML at first that they would just pretend to be married but won’t really be a married couple and ML agreed.

And when MC falls for ML (pretty quickly too btw) he gets mad at ML for being a “big fool”

Like yes, you do give him hints that you like him, but you never really make it clear to him or set the record straight that you don’t want to be “pretend lovers” anymore

I just find that very irritating and that goes on for a lot of chapters btw

So yeah, I like the ML but not the MC so skipping this novel~ <<less

Absolutely Thriving and Wonderful so far!!!

I'm sooo Happy!!!

Love how Proactive, Domineering and yet also Clingy our MC is. Yes, he's the 'Boss' in the relationship, but he also treat ML really well.

It's Mutual Love and Affection that EVERYONE can see that clearly.

It's not Immediate Sticky relationship though. They get Sticky after things get clear between them.

Yes, our MC reveal his Identity to ML. And thus ML trust and keep loving MC with no problem whatsoever.

The Family Feels between MC and ML's family also really good. The ML's parents are such a Good parents. Especially the Mother, truly treat MC as her own son, and MC also treat her like his own real mother.

And the business keep booming together.

It has intense moment near the end as the final moment how to defeat the Villains because those Evil people had tried to destroy MC and ML.

Our CP get close call. But I'm soooo Glad they both have Powerful friend to help them in the final.

Anyway the ending is great for such a Short 'Business in Ancient time' novel. I'm well satisfied. Love it!

soothing story, this couple immediately liked each other at the beginning of the story, Yu Da Meng's family is very kind and supportive.

Qiao Yuan is smart and able to build a business.
until the family got better in just 1 year.

The child will appear at the end with a short story when the child is approximately 5 years old, so there are no babies here.

If you are looking for a light story, this is perfect for you

Problems only appear at the end and are resolved without much effort.

First Impression

I read some reviews beforehand that this doesn't include farming at all despite the tag so I adjusted my expectations accordingly...

The Plot

This novel gave me ALL the warm gooey feelings... it is SO fluffy and so sweet, particularly the MC's good relationship with nearly every member of the ML's family. Honestly, I find the romance secondary but didn't really mind it because the familial relationships was written so well. I really enjoyed this from start to finish, and my only complaint is that 60 chapters is too... more>> short lol

The MC

  • He has the memories of the original body so he is very respectful to the original's loved ones and often feels angry and upset on the original's behalf
  • Loves acting cute and childish with his 'fool' husband because he knows he'll coax him if he gets just a little bit sulky lmao
  • Smart business sense and a good cook, although these are common traits for MCs of this type of novel
The ML

  • 'No thoughts, head empty' kind of fool. He is just a very simple, honest man and it's really refreshing to read about an ML that isn't pushed too hard to be cool
  • He is very talented and competent at his craft, and is former military so while he is a nice person he WILL kick ass especially in defense of the MC
  • Is compared to a tiger/bear a lot because of his bulk... ahem. An appropriately big eater and is sometimes adorably embarrassed about it
The CP

  • Nagging wife and henpecked husband dynamic
  • Although the MC is very competent in making money, the ML doesn't feel inferior about it at all and they both respect the other's businesses
  • ML loves to spoil the MC and will use money a bit too frivolously... the MC would confiscate it for his own good lmao
  • Their PDA is quite lowkey but everyone who's around them get lovey-dovey vibes from them anyway
Others

I like that the novel doesn't have any other magical or supernatural aspect other than the original transmigration. Everything the MC and ML achieved was through their hard work, and the support and love from their family and friends. I really recommend this novel for those who need a nice short story to read if they're feeling down or stressed. <<less

It's like a shortened amalgamation of various "transmigrated MC into a ger in ancient times, slice of life, and going from rags to riches"

It's not anything new, but it is perfectly enjoyable in it's own right. Small warning: you may experience way I experienced in that I kept asking myself "Wait, have I read this before??" lol

The concept was ok.. Modern era guy transmigrates into ancient world as Ger. The family is not very well off so this turns into using modern knowlege to improve their life and also make money. Same goes for food. Nothing too outrageous bt things that are actually useful. There's some face slapping too for people who wronged original MC.

I'd have really loved to keep reading but the way the MC treats the ML is just outright bullying. The hitting and mind games while refusing to communicate himself. Towards a guy... more>> who's a total softie perhaps not the sharpest but seriously it was hard to keep ignoring. As someone who had a found family situation in this new life it didn't make sense at all. I feel like the author perhaps projected too much of their own personality through the MC and really just ruined what could have been a nice read. <<less

It's a very short series, not very memorable either.

Plotwise is very common, MC transmigrated to an ancient world with ger setting. He then quickly went for food business, raking in money and building better lives for MC and ML. Their lives revolved around their daily life, as both of them are ordinary people. As usual, important figure with official title is added as the golden thigh.

It's a very cute story. Our ML is a little slow but also so incredibly sweet! You can't help but love him. Such a little fool. I love him so damn much. Our MC is... special. :D I love him too, but there are moments when you just want to punch him. The story doesn't have any big dramas that make your heart bleed. It's a nice short story with a lot of character. The focus here is more definitely on the relationship between ML and MC. Our ML's family... more>> is also just great. Long story short: I can only recommend it, it's worth the time. <<less
