The main character's disposition is arguable. His man-child like altitude sometimes ruined the novel for me, but the story, later on, always made up for it. And, sometimes, he actually thinks and compromises, those moments were great. The story is good. 

Great ending, mc is sometimes childish (in my opinion), but overall fantastic.

This is a world of gu, everything revolves around creatures called gu. There is a multitude of gu, from worst to best.
