When I first started reading this, my hands itch... more>> to pick up the phone and call the police but after some time I can't help but smile at the MC's antics. I cheer so hard whenever the MC manages to fish out the ML's emotions. She is such an endearing girl, I can't help but like her. I envy her passion and dedication to freely show her love. Who needs a relationship when I can read such good love stories that fill my heart w so much warmth? This is an MC chasing the ML trope story and it feels so fresh in the way that MC pursues ML so relentlessly. Typical ice block ML but it had a reasonable narrative that controls the flow of the story. MC is such a die-hard fan of ML, she basically worships him. Any normal person would be disturbed by such a character and rightfully so it affected the ML who was desperate to feel any kind of emotions so that he could wield his family's swordsmanship again. So he let her stay by his side grasping at the unnerving/annoyed feeling she evoked in him. This of course turns into affection in the long run through repeated exposure. It may sound like the MC has water in the brain where all she can think about is the ML but she actually has the ability to chase him! Like gurl yass I stan a baddie proactive girlie that uses her resources smartly and knows how to defend herself and her beliefs. Although the wholesome romance takes center stage, the conflict that I first viewed as mere background was crazy. It has that wild family/imperial drama and I am just chewing through the melon seeds excitedly. The hints were deliciously sprinkled, maybe too much because I managed to guess the many twists and turns of the plot but then again I also already have read a lot of novels. Anyway, the drama didn't overshadow the romance at all, instead, it managed to enhance it, especially in the later stage where everything was just exploding left and right. Overall, it was a well-executed feel-good story where the love was organically grown and their relationship was tested in various stages. Though I still crave some sort of epilogue, I'd have to say that it was a good read. <<less
