It's also a very popular novel... more>> and this one focuses more on world building and history. You can see the effort that was put into this. It's a story of the MC transmigrating into another world, mostly mystery and supernatural. The first volume can seem pretty long and slow, but after that it picks up quite fast and takes you on a joyful ride. <<less

Normally in a story. the MC will always be on the good side. Even if they're villains or likewise, they are just misunderstood. But in Ouroboros the MC is willing to do anything to gain immortality, and what better way to learn that than to use human subjects for testing. 

In a way this kind of MC is very interesting, seeing the excuses and the reasons behind what he does truly leaves me disgusted but at the same time intrigued. I've seen some reviews saying how revolting the MC was, but that was the charm of this novel. I recommend not binging this though, it's better to read once every so often, the chapters are hella long too. <<less

This is one of the more normal horrors, compared to the unusual ones above. But that doesn't mean it isn't likely to grasp your attention.
