This is not a revenge story. I actually put off reading this novel for a long time because I thought it was. The translations for the first few chapters are a bit rough but they get better. The story has it's flaws but Lou Yao Yao and Qin Zhi are so sweet. I just had to put it on this list. I wouldn't be lying if I said that I read this simply for the moments between Lou Yao Yao and Qin Zhi. Definitely satisfied my need for fluff :)  <<less

The story follows the classic enemies turned to lovers trope and is sure to elicit some laughs with the situations these two manage to find themselves in. Beautiful... hands down best ML... Still can't get over how beautiful the ending was and how it all tied up. So satisfying, my heart is full. The love they had for each other was so beautiful. The story opens with the FL and the ML in their old age. During one of their late night talks, the ML reminisces with the FL the struggles he had as a young boy in the countryside growing up in a poor household. The FL can't help but regret not meeting the ML in her younger years. Coming from a rich family back in the 70s, the FL shares that she would've supported him and fed him till he became fat and white. If they would've met sooner they wouldn't have had to suffer so much. If they would've met sooner they could've spent more time together. 

The heavens as if hearing her prayers transport her 40 years back in the 70s back in their teenage years. The first thing she does of course is to look for her old man but what meets her is not the patient elegance of her old man but the aggressive temper of his younger self. 

In the past life she got to know his slow enduring love and in this life she got to know the passion of early love..

Some tears, some laughs, and lots of fluff. An absolute gem and will surely warm your heart. <<less
