Letian (MC) is Chen Liguo ver. 2, only more shameless, salacious, and callous.

When he is 'punished' with the task of matching the FL with someone better than him (a high spec supporting male lead), he slacks off and basically vows to live the life of a rice worm. How? Well, Letian gets together with the male lead (usually via seduction), then he provokes ML's possessive tendencies again and again until ML imprisons and 'forces' MC to stay by his side.

He very much enjoys being locked in a little black room and being ravished day in and out. In fact, you really end up pitying the male leads in some arcs when they fall for MC because the MC only uses them as a tool man.

Most of the angst in this novel comes from MC's forced 'death' in 7 days upon task completion. Letian can't live out his life in any of the worlds; not that he cares much. However, the majority of the story is hilarious, because MC drops the chain and exposes his cloven foot at inopportune times. This often diffuses the angst, and you end up laughing through what should have been an angsty set up for face slapping later on. As there is no real punishment for acting OOC, MC superficially acts in character in some arcs, and his apathy really shows.

All in all, it's a much lighter read with comedic undertones compared to scum abuse/dog blood novels like "Strategy to Capture That Scum Gong" or even "Perfect Destiny" - because unlike the MC here, Chen Liguo from PD has to act in character no matter what he is actually thinking.

Stopped reading at ARC11 because it started to drag on with repetitive themes - yandere ML x heartless MC. May come back to finish later to see if there is character development. <<less

i read the premise and the first chapter and was quite excited for this book, although I hate books where the MC has a character mold that they can’t break, I decide to keep going. There was a lot of r*pe in this story, the ML in the first arc forced the MC to be w him in every way to the point that he was diagnosed w severe depression. MC is a wanted criminal and the most hard to capture criminal and the alliance has to send many system to capture him. The 1st world, is where this system found him, and all the world that MC visit will become his punishment world
I love MC and system. Their funny bickering, MC plot manipulation and the system innocent 😂

System : "There's no way the almighty male protagonist will like you! That is your identitiy!"
MC : "Watch me 🤪"
System : "This is a punishment task! You are not punished at all!"
MC : "I was punished, " stretched out his arm, the white robe slipped off, and the transparent and tender skin was red, "Look, it was tortured. It 's not like a human." (the hickey 😂)

All the good thing about this novel :
- Comedy. MC internal monologue is so funny 😂. He is a scheming, narcissistic, and manipulative person. He hate fate and defy fate
- Heroine in each world. I love all of the heroine. MC face the heroine with the mentality of old father. He love the heroine, and hate it when the system dictate who's supposed to get the heroine. For example in the 1st world, the heroine fall in love with mc's bestfriend. The one who's kind, and gentle to her, instead of embracing her dog blooded script. MC try every possible way to make sure that the heroine get that guy, and won't have to be corrected by the world (the rule is, the hero/male protagonist must above 2nd male lead). In the end, . Every single heroine and mc's interaction makes me smile. I would love to have that kind of friend too
- Hardworking, capable, and kind heroine
- The system is funny! And so pure. MC always bully him 😂

I actually think this is a bit higher quality than other QT novels, although some of the worlds are kinda boring imo. The heroines don't get much spotlight, but MC does like/help them. It kind of feels like most of the worlds are slow but not really? Not much happens, so it gives you the sense that you're watching the "side story" while the main plot is happening with the heroine and you just can't see it.

What I liked about this novel is the ending, MC and ML's past was... more>> interesting and there's also buildup to their relationship, compared to other BL QT novels where they both walk in strangers.

The extras are alright. It didn't give me that sense of closure you normally should strive for. They are mostly about the worlds they visited, alternating between being depressing (after MC's death) and happy (domestic moments while MC was still alive). <<less
