Shu Yan and Feng Zeyu (ML) is slow yet it really portrays the realistic concerns in a relationship. by my perspective at least.

I would have liked to read more of JingJIng's love story more since she did experienced difficulties in her blood-father's side.

Tianbao's story is cool with me.

Xiao Bao is cute too wanting to be a star.

The dividing at the end of property was something... Clothing. Technology and then Security. Wow

She wins at life. It's fun to fantasize about getting rich...

Otherwise, there's not much to this story. Hardly any plot, all conflicts are short and transient, and except for the family back home, all villains disappear after their very first crime. It almost has a Scooby-Doo monster of the week structure to it if you squint, but they hide it well and you wouldn't immediately notice it. I appreciate how characters are always introduced methodically and ahead of time, there's a villain every week but they never come out of... more>> nowhere. The villains always came from something that happened earlier in the story and they always have a solid reason to want to act like they do. There's no such thing as a side character with a name that doesn't have their minute of fame in this story, if they've got a name, they're going to do something. Heck, plenty of characters *without* names come back later on even. Whether they'll be a friend or an enemy is fun to guess, I was wrong a few times.

For example, a nameless random customer that just buys stuff at her shop made at least four appearances and caused an entire plot point, it was impressive. Then after her plot point was over... she came back again, a year later, so you could see how she reacts to the event she accidentally caused. Let me repeat, this character didn't even have a name! The continuity is an achievement, the author seriously forgets nothing and leaves no loose ends at all.

The plot that it does have is very simple, it's just like watching your XP bar level up in an RPG game. The protagonist gets stronger after every battle, gains more allies, makes more money. This is those mobile game ads where you go from LVL 0 grunt to LVL 100 boss, basically. That's the bird's eye view but down in the weeds individual episodes are much more interesting and a lot less predictable, there's plenty of variety. The protagonist always wins but she does it in a different way every time, that's the fun part.

It's monster of the week but with continuity, unlike cartoons, previous episodes lead into the next and will often come back to be important later on. That said, there's a lot of weeks. It's tiring to binge, like watching six seasons of Scooby Doo in a single sitting. Since the events aren't self contained and episodes spill into each other, it's hard to find a clear stopping point. You need to remember a lot of details, characters, and events, so it's difficult to put it down and come back later.

All in all, decent. It's not very complicated, but it is very detailed. A little bit too long in my opinion, given how much you have to remember to keep up. A lot will happen but at the end of the story you'll hardly remember any of it. I guess it's kind of like fast food? Huge portion sizes, but it's mostly filler, good and satisfying while you're eating it, but afterwards you feel kinda heavy and bloated like "blerggg did I really just eat all that...?". It leaves you with an unhealthy glow... this story is a whole bucket of fried chicken. <<less

This is the kind of slice of life story I love. It's a nice balance of drama, which can quickly get annoying if there's too many people needing to get their faces slapped. On the opposite end, if there's not enough, the plot just drags on and on.

I really liked the MC's character and how she realized her own faults. The romance was very realistic and so sweet.

A solid 4.7.
The focus on MC's love life was mild at best, so not really a romantic story.
One of the better slice of life of a book transmigrator I've read.

All characters come with their own depths of flavor and they don't blend in with each other.
MC's glow-up, growth, and character are pretty grounded, with none of the crazy spotlight tunnel vision focus (none of the: everybody notices her wherever she goes, yadayada).

The ending... was rather unsatisfactory.
Spoiler

Cannon fodders like her parents/family and ex-husband got away with a lot of crap numbering from abuse to downright mu*der. mu*der is mostly based on novel, but the ex-husband was doing some extremely shady stuff in the current timeline as well.

It felt rushed, muddled, and mashed together.
Though I understand she's a single mother after the divorce, I felt like the author could've allocated more (bitter) sweet parent-child moments in between her career-building days.

But overall, very read-worthy, do not let the 400+ chapters scare you off, it's simply split up into multiple sections.
The total chapter count is 145.

The MC is hard working & competent... She also does not have the dumb attitude which many shoujo characters have... The story itself was also pleasant, written really well and doesn't drag on!!!

Totally recommend (light read)

Nothing too depressing or sad in it 👍🏻

I read the untranslated parts of the novel via MTL & it was was pretty easy to understand

I like this story, I am a fast reader so I couldn't wait for translation and MTL it, but the translation is very good, so I still read it every time it's posted.

For the readers who are looking for slow process and slice of life story, it is a very good choice.

I really like the story, but I'm a bit disappointed that it finished so fast and it doesn't have a sequel.I really want to follow her children's future story so bad. Hope the author would wrote a sequel.

5/5 stars!

This was a really fun and relaxing novel to read. Its basically all about Shu Yan's journey after transmigrating into the cannon fodder ex wife to a rich miss. I liked reading about how she dealt with the old family, her business actions and overall her stride to making a comfortable life for herself.

The romance is quite cute but later in the story.

I recommend this if that sounds good!

Its about 3 1/2 stars.

The face slapping happened quick and then the MC moved on. That was something I haven't seen much in novels, so that was interesting.

... more>> This is a slow story. It you want romance, you are going to have to wait since there hasn't been a whiff of it yet.

There is child rearing, some friendships developing and a lot of business.

The MC doesn't fuss about, she is very straight forward.

The chapters have been broken up. Which I understand for translation purposes, length, etc. However, my pet peeve with this that alot of translators do, is they renumber the chapters. I wish the would do ch1 pt 1, pt 2, pt 3. Instead of ch1, ch2, ch3. A 200 chapter novel suddenly becomes 600. I am at ch211 and the is ch64 if you want to MTL it.
Once you get to the second translator, you will need to keep this page open and select each chapter individually because they do not have a next chapter button. Or I could just not have searched enough for it. Will have to check next time I come back after it's been updated. <<less

Slice of life to the max. Omg even the little lunch dispute at the kindergarten lasted a few chapters. This really drags on. It was promising at first when the MC was fighting with the ex husband but then after that, it all went down hill and nothing happens anymore to write home about. That is of course until chapter 96 where I’m at right now. But whatever gonna happen later won’t be very interesting or any I can already tell. What’s with the high ratings?

The story is good, the character is very realistic and the development is slow, but it matches the reality, not just Mary sue who already arrives in another city and has a new house, a money store and a handsome guy behind her

Spoiler

To tell you the truth, I'm already at ch 111 and no ML, if it weren't for the reviews I would think that this story doesn't even have a

Pretty good, just a bit lacking, but I am comparing it to Back to the Sixties: Farm, Get Wealthy & Raise the Cubs which is the superior version of this novel, with MC also have some failure moments, more family interaction whether bad or good, and more realistic in time span, interactions and how it's dealt

But overall not bad

I have nothing more to say. Just- this story is engaging for me to read in my spare time. Mostly fluffy and cute. Straighforward romance, every character got it's own cuteness. A recommended light read.

I mtl the novel as I was impatuent as usual and I recommend you do so if you can't wait as well, the mtl aren't unreadable.

This novel is very enjoyable, worth every second of your time. I can't really review without giving spoilers as I'm an incompetent reviewer but just know that if you like Romance, family, no dogblood drama but to still have some angst this is for you, it leaves you with a very satisfied feeling after readinf, so satisfying that I'm going to read it again lol
