Well, I shouldn't rate a novel halfway through the plot (if there's even any-)

But as a person who is extremely picky, I had to drop this early. You should read this and consider it as a light read, and you'll be okay throughout reading this. Okay, so firstly, we have our MC who transmigrated into a world created from a novel. He is a super rich CEO who is in one of the leading 4 families controlling the country's economy. My issues are, well, I found it hard to accept the way MC make other's achievements as his own. Its true that the body is his now but that left a bad taste inside my mouth. That's what the author is trying to depicts anyway, a-super-extremely-shameless MC. Most of the times, it's funny. Like when he created a group chat to flaunt 'his' wealth. Also, if he doesn't actually have auto-functioning work mode, I don't know what will happen. At least make an effort? To actually figure out what to do with the company, or to just deepen/learn about knowledge on business world?

His character is also supposed to be a tsundere person, but it appears to me that he's just very confused about his feelings and is SUPER childish. I just thought that if he kept his thoughts straight then he can pursue ML and release the hateful seal earlier.

ML is good though. He's a hardworking actor who's suppressed by his agent. Sometimes he's a bit possessive? He's smart, but lacks a bit of confidence since he can't figure out MC's feelings. Stories happening on the film set is also interesting with some slapping here and there.

Other side characters are fun too. They certainly make this novel livelier together with our MC.

The story gets repetitive, thus the decision to drop it came. Maybe I'll come here again.

By the way, this is just me nitpicking. 😀 You should read it if you want a good laugh, since many of the character's antics will make us rolling, , <<less

This novel is crack. Pure and utter crack. It's so ridiculous, yet you can't help reading on just to see all the over-the-top reactions, and to see just how much more ridiculous it can get. (Spoiler alert: it's a lot. A LOT)

Definitely a novel that should not be taken seriously or you'll just hurt yourself. But once you let go of your reservations and just go with the flow, you'll be taken on a hilarious and tooth-rottingly sweet ride.

I finished this novel months ago but came back to write a review. Why? Because I could not find a second novel with similar writing style, hilarious story and plot that has a consistent pacing and wraps up nicely.

Honestly, this novel deserves a higher rating.

Story 10/10

I promise that every chapter will leave you smiling because of our funny MC. Of course, our ML too. Despite this story being about showbiz, it is not about an overbearing CEO gong helping a cute white moonlight shou to succeed. Why? Because our cute... more>> shou is the OVERBEARING CEO. He is not weak and fragile in anyway. His outward appearance is on par with any other pursuers of the original protagonist. Our ML is an artist (actor) who is the rival of the original protagonist. Our overbearing CEO knows that he is gay and is a shou. Of course, he wouldn't want the white lotus protagonist. He wants someone that can push him and be on top of him on bed! The ML who is not mentioned much in the original story is more to his taste! <<less

OK I love the story really I do but I was not expecting it to take that long for them to get together like I’ve heard a slow burn but this is like molasses bro.

but anyway this is a great story especially if you’re into that slow burn with an OP main character.

Loved it!! The best MC i've seen in a looong time, it's a sweet and funny story with interesting side characters and the interaction of the main CP brews just long enough for it to be funny and logical??? Not forced at all...

tbh, this novel is for light read only. Like, don’t take this book seriously because if you take this novel, seriously— you are definitely gonna get disappointed, AND PLEASE THE AUTHOR SHOULD'VE WRITTEN A PREQUEL ABOUT SECRETARY HE AND ______. The amount of love that prequel would’ve gotten. Tbh, the whole time I was reading this novel, I’m more interested in Secretary He than most of all the characters combined.

If you are looking for a light read then give is a try, and true to the author’s notes after chapter 1 it is a silly story (love story) so don’t expect any deep plot. Quite enjoyable, but there were moments when I felt it was a formulaic, and I felt that there were some sections where a transition would have been helpful. Translation was great with very minimal issues that you can overlook.

If I were seriously rating this, I'd probably give this a 3/5, but for a casual read, this is a 4/5.

It's fun and amusing. The silliness of the MC is just amazing and he's so shamelessly a shou--very thirsty. I like the contrast between his image as a CEO and his inner shou self who's yearning for a good you-know-what. Although it's somewhat hard to tell because we see the MC's thoughts plainly, he's somewhat of a tsundere (which I love). ML is also good; I like him. He slowly... more>> learns to become the kind of top that the MC likes lol.

Something you might not like is how much public opinion and netizen talk is involved. It might even feel repetitive and dull--there's just that much. And of course, even if someone starts bad-mouthing either the MC or ML, the situation is always quickly taken care of and the netizens go back to praising them.

It's a very simple story. The main two are praised, the side characters envy them, and the cannon fodder antagonists are repeatedly face-slapped until they disappear from the face of earth. It might get tiring or bland for some people, but as long as you don't read it for hours straight, it should be fine.

There are also side couples, which I think is great. More shipping fun!

Overall, it's entertaining, but not the best. <<less

MY HEART! My single heart! Too much PDA! I SINCERELY recommend! The Fans and the Support Characters are so funny and cute that I really want more T~T. Sadly, I finished reading it. The translation was done beautifully and I could understand everything. The grammar and censorships was handled well. (Sadly)

All in all would reread again if I had amnesia. &Lt;3

The story begins with a good rhythm, and very interesting, but less than halfway it begins to be too repetitive and the focus of the plot is lost. It's like reading a bunch of extras together without a coherent structure. It's a shame because it really had potential.

I like it when a love relationship grows over time. Not read the extras yet I already have a withdrawal from this novel. Too good. No unnecessary drama. If you're looking for it, then this isn't for you. Pure comedy, face slapping, hilarious characters. This is such a good read. If you wanted to feel relaxed, this is highly recommended.

Really great novel, It was funny and the group Rong Qing made with the other CEO's showing off his power as a strong daddy had me laughing. The dogfood I was fed was great and in the extras being able to see side stories of two couples one with He Qian and Sweet Pea which I was always curious about turned out to be very sweet. I only wish there was a bit more drama from the 'villain' and his system, he was swept under the rug too quickly but... more>> still got what he deserved in the end. I love stories where the bottoms/ukes/shou know their sexuality and are proud of that fact. I loved the MC and ML they were perfect for each other. I definitely recommend this book. <<less

Although it's pretty fun at the start, but you know when it comes to excess and things become too much it brings a not so good result. This novel suffers from it too.

The tendency of 3 paragraphs of self jokes and 1 paragraph of real action is evidently the main occurance. But listening to jokes all the time doesn't make it funny for long. With time you simply get tired of constant "humor". This is basically because this novel isn't anywhere near dramatic and all actions should be comedic, that's... more>> why I think to be so hard-core on humoring even more is excessive.

Other thing which is definite is that author often doesn't remember what they wrote about. Even in adjustent chapters. Examples: Rong Qing plays with old Song, check phone in front of him, very next chapter he sends them messages; ML's brother and his lover, they know about Rong Qing, but then they act as if surprised to find it's him. I don't consider how many things are weirdly distributed.

Oh and the boss is shou and celebrity actor is gong :) It's a bit of a real slowburn, I don't know if I'll survive before I see them together. Writing review in the middle of reading, since this humor pressured me too much and I needed to rant :'D <<less

I know I'm still early to leave review.

But as long as I read, I really enjoy it. It really my taste. Fluff, cute, have some comedy, strong Shou.

What I surprised was the character of the ML, really at first I thought he typically tyrannical, rich, good everything ML - which I love so much-, but as long as I read (until this 19th chap) the ML is below the MC for the status (like wealthy anf power), at first it looked like the ML is the Shou, so I have... more>> this kind of thought like.. The ML is Shou in outside but Gong in the bed? If it weren't for QR saying he was the bottom I would have thought that QR was a gong. But yeah The character depiction of the ML is like ML in general which is dominant, cold, intimidating, wolfy, minus the wealth, status and power lol but I love him

Well this just review from 19th chap reader, so I dunno how the development or the real background of the ML and MC. <<less

The novel's not so bad. It's got concept, some relatable characters, plot, comedy and hidden lore and plot, but the problem I have was that the novel had some plotholes and slighty poor story exposition, it didn't irritate me thought as I only came for the comedy and laughs and I think was what the author was actually going for.

In the end, the novel reflected the summary: making money while also finding love. So most of the drama is swept under the rug.

Translator translated so fast!!! Big thumbs up for translators hard work!!

This is a great read with a MC I have never encountered, so gooddd, there’s also no s*upid misunderstandings or dog blood drama here, it’s a light read with many comedic scenes!! This is a slow but satisfying burn with many side couples ;)

My favorite chapters were the latter chapters plus the extras!!! Especially the one about sweet pea and He Xian, so unexpected lollll 10/10 would recommend :)))

I'm usually really generous with ratings and give 5 stars as long as I like something. But for this I had planned to give it 3-4 stars because even though the reviews keep mentioning how 'Hilarious' it is, it's not. It was just a sweet, cute and funny love story. For me smth hilarious should make you laugh out loud a lot but this just made me smile sweetly. For all those who like real hilarious stuff I would recommend perfect destiny, quick transmigration and This world has gone crazy.... more>> These are what you call hilarious!

Ok! Now moving on, I liked the novel no doubt but it was stretched too much.I mean I love the sickeningly sweet romance but it was kinda too much.I mean 174 chapters? Give it a break.I nearly wanted to put it on hold to read something else. The start was good no doubt and instantly had me hooked but it just became monotonous as it went on.

The villain was no good meh! He didn't even really appear much and was dealt with behind the scenes.

The MC had no redeeming features at all except that he was funny and loved to spend money while For the ML, I will praise him for actually being really patient and respecting the MC's wishes. He never forced him and waited for 2 long years! You gotta respect such ML! He was not all possessive, cold, unfeeling or overbearing like other MLs but a rather friendly cute dude who blushed a lot at the start but later he got used to MC's antics and stopped blushing. What a pity!
One thing I'm glad is that the ML was not stronger than the MC in status aspect. Most BLs do that and thats kind of upsetting like how MC can only be weaker than the ML? At one point I thought that might be the case for this too. But it clearly wasn't! +1 for that!

As I mentioned above, I had plans to give it 3-4 stars but what saved it and urged me to give it 5 stars? Ofcourse its the extra No.3!!!

Who would've thought that Sweet Pea was actually the original Rong Qing And He Qian loved him!He Qian clearly knew what was up the whole time and was helping our MC!!! That was the biggest plot twist!Very clever Author! Very clever!

The novel as a whole is good and is a type you can read when you really have nothing else to do and are bored.I normally don't read this kind of novels.I prefer BL novels that are either extremely hilarious or something that keeps you on the edge but this wasn't a bad read either!I enjoyed it a bit but not much!But Extra 3 is its saving grace, on this you must believe me! <<less
