How does ML start magically breathing underwater? I know he's a superhuman and stuff, but a little bit of backstory could help with the suspension of belief effect yk? Amor turning toward revenge was a surprise, considering his whole archetype was gentle and what not—but it made sense since his lover died and he would want to target the people who took away his light. But complete annihilation if a whole kinda-big-city??? That was so left field lmfao. Like even if he despises how the city is structured, it just didn't feel like the direction his character would take. Again, a little bit of insight by showing (rather than telling) what the character experienced could make it feel more logical.

Also... It felt as if the author put things in just for the sake of creating a vibe, rather than putting things in because of the vibe. Like wolves coming to ruin the MC and ML's wedding and then they killing it and kissing with blood on their suits while the whole crowd cheers... Er, if I recall, they took quite some time to kill the wolves last time, but now it's ultra quick? Or maybe the author just wanted to get to the "I do" part quicker so they just described the killing part less, but that just made it feel superfluous.

Also, really small, but when the MC woke up from his first sleep and went as a negotiator, but midway he's intercepted and shot at... But he doesn't dodge the bullets because of his invincible body... Feels reckless? Like he just woke up, he barely got time to prove his skin is actually bullet proof, so he decides to do just test it out just then? A bit illogical from a commander. A lot of his action scenes also seemed illogical because he put himself at a sort of reckless risk because of his invincible body, which doesn't feel right from a skilled military personnel. Like I get it, but it doesn't suit his precious years of experience.

They prolonged, though one certain misunderstanding of them knowing each other in the past. Why was that dragged on for like 40 chapters? I feel like it could have been shortened by 15 or something, but it's whatever There's worse novels that prolong it to the end lmao

Apparently he's just an evolved Marg, a union from a Marg and a regular civilian, but that does not explain how he went from 1 to 10 instead of 1 to 2 in the evolution chain. He can breathe underwater, he heals incredibly fast, has super strength, can survive a nuclear explosion at point 0 range, a fall from over 4 thousand meters above sea level, etc, etc. Like what! He's the character that is so OP and it makes no sense. Also, I don't understand how he's so knowledgeable about things when he was orphaned at 5 and picked up and raised by a vulgar criminal who planned to use him as a tool in their criminal activities. Like that thug definitely never educated or nurtured him and in the beginning of the novel it's written that ML just one day appeared in their lower city, so where did he get his learning and foundations??

MC was turned into an experimental subject after he was burned during a mission. For 20 years, his body was modified until it became the military's ultimate weapon. MC was woken up to investigate ML. His cover was to be a negotiator between the military and the refugees.

MC and ML eventually met, with ML protecting MC since there was an unknown faction attempting to assassinate MC. The unknown faction wanted to create a bigger rift between the military and refugees. MC and ML become closer and MC ends up siding with ML. However, MC was captured by the military and slept for the next five years.

In these five years, ML searched for MC and had become depressed. Again MC was woken up for a mission and his memories were tampered with. MC's memories of his previous mission was erased. The new mission had two objectives, one of them was to capture ML.

MC encounters ML and arrests him. ML informs MC of their past and again MC ends up siding with ML. MC recovers his memory and they help change the unfair social order.

MC had saved ML when ML was five years old. MC and his team had a mission to kill ML. Instead MC hid ML and helped him runaway. MC lied to his supervisor and said that he had killed ML. ML had been searching for MC for years.

ML's father is the head of the social order. He had ordered the mu*der of ML. In the end, the father gets his ironic retribution... he is mu*dered by his two sons (ML's older half brothers).

MC choose to be at ML's side wholeheartedly. They joined forces to evacuate the city and they were separated when MC went back and blew up the airship, leaving ML not knowing if he was alive or not.

MC goes back to his superior who wipes his memory. Then they just send him back. Some sloppy backstory that's easily seen though and easily disproven if he just interacts with pretty much anyone he knew from before, while he's also experiencing Déjà vu from being sent back to the exact same place he spent his last mission. Not only the area, but meeting several of the same people at the same places (like ML's house for example).

He had little to no purpose of even being sent back (compared to his first mission where he was supposed to find out more about ML). Even if he rebelled, which would be likely and kinda expected, they could just put him to sleep and that was the plan. But that means they just could've chosen not to send him again in the first place. He had no real mission or was being taken advantage of because there was nothing to gain from it.

After a short description of how ML reacts when MC disappears, which is just his friend holding him back from going crazy because "it's not what MC would've wanted, we're just sent 5 years into the future. But literally nothing on MC's side had changed. It just felt like The author wanted to sent a "realistic" amount of time for the research to progress. I honestly though the five year time was just a lie they made up, as part of MC's fake backstory and altered memories, and only a few weeks or at the most a few months had actually gone by. When MC and ML meet ML doesn't react or act like it's been 5 whole years, but more like he just had a few sleepless night without him and now the nightmare is over.

MC realize ML is that child and by the next scene he almost straight up tells him but he's cut off by outer circumstances. Just like noticing the weather has changed, it was the same feeling when he was just going to tell ML "oh, I just realized you're the child I met btw". Maybe it was for the best he didn't actually get the finish it, but it would've been much better if it was just something he had realized and planned to tell ML and it doesn't happen because he's taken back and memory's wiped again. It's much more intriguing when a character has to remember what they remembered because of their new progress than some half confession.

The way ML realize is also very unsatisfying. When he find out "the soldier" is dead it was done well (also the part where he thought MC had a companion who could've been that person and he investigated it). It was okay when he found out the real name of the soldier, not knowing it was MC. But when he managed to connect the dots by MC suddenly feeling like he had to say his real name just because it wasn't satisfying at all. It would've been better if it was something he accidentally found out by overhearing something, snooping around, or ML saying it without realizing it meant something for ML.

I guess I just love when things are left unsaid.

MC being chosen as a representative of his people out of nowhere because it magically would solve all fighting. It was nothing MC had fought for, deliberately wanted to become, and he was not someone who would feel honored by becoming "the hero of the people" cliche.

Just as before when the focus shifts to a smaller setting things start to make sense and the writing gets good. But the downside was that it was a weird turn to take from the whole "saving humanity" to playing cluedo.

When a character managed to "shut down" the tree of live by threatening a researcher. You're really telling me that a researcher, the only one who can, would shut down something that would kill tens/hundreds of thousand of people just because he had a gun pointed at his head. If he was killed the person would never had been able to shut it down so death was the most logical answer. Instead the researcher was like "he threatened me with a gun" and "I cried for help but no one heard me", while also not expression close to the guilt/remorse anyone would've felt by doing what he did.

Not only was it something like "only he had the authority to push a button the turned it off", but he actually had to spend two days creating something that didn't even exist beforehand with the purpose of making the person who threatened him able to carry out his plan/wish.

When his family background was revealed. It uncovered some of the mystery, but it also felt like a last minute solution on how to achieve peace by just having them (now representing the two sides) get married.

MC and his life depending on that mask. In the beginning he was often shaken to his knees and almost dying because ML kept taking it to threaten him or just play him out of his own amusement. A bit of it made sense since he was supped to play weak, but at the same time he would've been even less useful (for the purpose he believed he had) if he was dead. He almost died a couple of times and was lucky (pure plot armor) that he didn't.

After he exposed his strength and didn't have to play weak. He was in just as many close to death situation becuse of having the mask being taken of, and he barely fought for it at all. Not trying to stop people for taking it, using the power he should've had, nor immediately after before the weakening happens.

When he gained the ability/knowledge of that he could summon a dagger to himself because of the brain waves or something like that, and never used it or anything similar again.

One moment the stakes were actually high for the first (and only) time when the superior showed him how he would always be under his control because of where the ship was and his skin was unbreakable. Then after pretty much no time to have it sink in he found he could just control it himself he wanted to and it was no longer a problem.

The stakes were high when they took the airship and there was the whole thing about how they would both risk dying and the speech about rather wanted to die together, but it was so obvious they would be granted that small chance of both surviving because of how it was all laid out and because of their plot armor. Mainly MC being the MC and their wedding waiting to happen afterwards. At no moment was I filled with doubt it would've a happy ending.

Their marriage was catalyzed by politics, which took away from the feeling of their authentic love. The love was conveyed and done surprisingly well in the end considering how the rest of the story fell off. While them marrying was nice to see it didn't feel as good as it could've had because it wasn't on their terms completely.

He has to go back to retrive his memories but when he just gets on the villain's airship his comrade decides to message him at that time to remind something that could have been said when they met a few chapters ago. Then the villains discover this and take his face mask away so we get to have his weakness to create tension while he goes rescue his comrades because otherwise the story will be boring, right?

So the villain who put MC in an ice pod turns out to be a pe*vert who is obssessed with collecting pretty boys. Very original and not out-of-place at all considering the other more sensible conflicts the author could have chosen, right? And because of this MC just conveniently finds his two other mission targets to save at the same time 'cause of this guy. But then he reveals he has MC's weakness! What!? And in the next 10 seconds MC just easily snaps his neck. The biggest threat since the beginning of the story was ended just like that. But next we got to keep the story's tension going! What do we do? Forced MARRIAGE. See the pattern now? It's just endless plot devices inserted one after another.
