No words to describe the beauty of this book and the emotions it brings.

I seriously avoid bitter-sweet novels and sad endings coz I cry easily and it affects my mood all day. But have chosen this book after reading Easily Set Aflame by the same author thinking it'd be another fluffy romance but... ((:::

Still, it is so well written, I've no choice but to give it 5/5.

Since I'm a sissy, I read the ending chapters and epilogues 3 times (3X crying) first to steel my heart before continuing to the middle parts of the book, but tears still fell. (Sigh, this is self punishment)...

Having said that, teacher Gu and Tong Yan really left a strong impression on me, especially Teacher Gu, so kind and selfless despite what he's going through.

Edit: To this day, I still remember this novel vividly and my heart still clenches. Although, it has a happy ending, can't stop wondering what will happen to ML in the future.? <<less

So, now we are almost halfway through with the story, and the important variables, I think, have been introduced or at least slightly touched. This story is like water that will seem plain until we see it in a larger frame. Add that with Mo Bao Fei Bao narrative that, as usual, brought to mind tv drama scenes, and you’ll find Together Forever as one of the must-read for fans of drama or romance.

More than love story, Together Forever is inspiring.

If there’s a downside to the story, it might be that the story focused too much on the two protagonists, and the other characters are placed like cameo; interrupting their sweet time together here and there, then gone, appeared again when the story needed a breather, then gone,.... but there’s still more than half of the novel, and after the recent chapter, I’ve got high hopes that the characters will be explored or developed further in later chapters. <<less

This novel takes on a more realistic approach to a love story. Two tragic main characters fall in love with each other and though they try their best, they still have their flaws. There is really no miracles in this story, a very sad tone takes over the story, but as a result the love appears much more deep.

A really beautiful story, very bitter sweet.

The recent corona-virus outbreak in China got me thinking about this book. Honestly, I couldn't bare to continue reading it to the end. It was at once so full of love and melancholy that even when the characters were happy I, as the reader still felt vaguely and unknowingly sad. Highly recommended if you can stand a more despondent tone.

I usually don't read anything that has teacher-student relationships, but this novel is the one exception. The novel portrays the relationship progress in a really sweet way and doesn't have any annoying scenes that I've seen in Japanese mangas.

When tragedy happens one after another. You feel as if heaven is closing their eyes on you while you scramble to pick up what's left of your crumbling life.

Then that person appeared.

One that knew very well how you felt and perhaps experienced much worse than you.

Two word that describes the two of them. On one side they have a love that's transcends time and sounds. On the other hand, the burden that each of them carry is much too heavy for the both of them to endure.

This novel is realistic, each character will leave a deep impression of what everyday people one may encounter. Wearing mask of happiness, indifference or peace. Yet hidden beneath are scars of life, tragedy, and maturity. You learn to accept life as they come in to your life and leave when their due had passed. We hide and attemps to come to terms to our negative feelings-- to move on. But the process is only well worth it when you have someone who will offer their arms when you feel like giving up. <<less

9/10!! Tearsss were spilled but my heart is filled with sweetness. ML is so awwww like I need him. Story is short but is impactful! Love it. Really depict how dating someone with disability is not as romantic or easy as some story portray

I have always read the novel about a guy and girl falling in love, either being rich or poor but this is first time that I read this kind of novel and this story just touched my heart. Once again Mo Bao Fei Bao proves that she is the goddess of modern day chinese novel. Can't find words to describe Together, Forever just read it to find out.

A beautifully written story.

It makes you feel for the MC and ML as you get to read about their past. The reality you might not face even as it exsist in others. How it shapes them to who they are now. Causing melancholy when you think about how they have become who they are because of or despite their past. And yet there's such sweetness in their interactions with each other as they continue in life. Living continuously, not focusing on the past.

in a sense it's happy cause they reunite. But the problems that are very likely to appear in the future weights heavily on my mind. Thus giving it a bittersweet feel.

Thus when I first read the ending I swore I'll not read the novel again no matter how well it's written. But yet when I see the novel again I can't help but to flip through it (i meant to flip through how they met n such in the earlier part). Yet the story captivated me to once again read it through to the end.

The last chapter had me in a chokehold and a fit of tears. I'll be honest, midway through I wasn't feeling it that much. Although a decent book, I just felt an obligation to complete it after getting a few chapters in and with it being a short book.

However, the more that was divulged about the characters, especially how Tong Yan's mental state was developing, I really started to get hypnotized by the novel and enveloped into her emotions. Gu Pingsheng is one of the kindest MLs I've ever read... more>> about, and his situation being a very real possibility to someone in that time only drew me further into the book. Both main characters and their families really just hit home. This is one of those books I recommend someone to read at least just once, even if it isn't your genre of choice. It's a bit fluffy, but also has a bit of emotional turbulence with a heavy setting. Truthfully I subjectively feel this is more-so a 4.5/5 for me, only due to the fact that this isn't my genre of choice. Objectively it's a 5/5. And to end my review, I think the end of the author's note, which incorporates the description of the book, is the best place to leave off:

It's about life, how cruel, ruthless, unfair it can be to some of us; our main characters choose to keep going, moving forward, letting go of bitterness and all the negative feelings rightfully attached to the battle scars one gets from life... Despite the cliches of the story, I am absolutely a fan of the MC and ML. Despite all the tragedies they face, at the very end, they still get back together. Certain aspects of the story is rooted in real life, so it makes the story more relatable to the readers. As always whenever I read romance novels, I find perfect couples, so this novel portrayed a more human relationship. Will recommend this novel to all romance genre fans! ^V^

Definitely, Definitely one of the best I've ever read.

Gu Pingshen and Tong Yan's story made me want to cry but unable to summon tears. They were so so strong, growing, even more, stronger as their lives progressed and the story progressed.

And once their happy ending came I was ecstatic along with them. They deserved it hundred percent.

Worth every second of reading!

A beautiful story yet also a bit heartbreaking at the same time. I still couldn't get my self out of the story for a while because of that. Don't worry, it's still happy ending for both of our leads but still, the losses that they experienced and the heartache caused by their brief separation were still enough to make me sad. It's a touching story, can make you feel all human feelings like happiness, sadnesses, hopelessness or love. Not really fancy melodramatic but can show you real life 😊. I am really happy reading through the end though I was crying in the middle.💘
