Disclaimer this is my first review it might not be good like others did.

First is it focuses on the society and politics. What is the inside of the hunter society aside from hunting a monster.

The pacing is normal but I've read till the latest chapter there's not much fight going on. So I don't find it enjoying. I got bored because it has so much steps has to take just to proceed in the next plot (although it was reasonable but not so long to the point that I get... more>> bored.)

At first I thought he would just have to become a good strategist while assisting the hunters attacking the monster but it's not. It's focuses much on how he manage the guild, how to control the mess inside of the guild, fighting politics, and many more planning. More like battle of the wits

It's good if you like the political genre instead of fighting monster. Lastly it's very much detailed just for the sake to understand what will happen in the future. And I quite like it. <<less

I just can't enjoy the novel. It is a very niche style. And Im not talking about the modern hunter genre present. That problematic one for me, is the other prevalent style present. Bureaucratic small talk. This whole novel is essentially built on small talk from what I've read. At times there's minor politics mixed in, but in essence the story is revolved around small talk as occasionally story developments or politics happen, but even within those, small talk is ever so present.

Granted I only read a few chaps, but... more>> it is just not an enjoyable nor interesting read to me personally. I wanted to rate this as a 2, but this was mostly biasy. However, even without bias, or a bias that referred this, I can't see myself rating it as a 4, nor a 5 like the other 2 current reviewers. This might be interesting in another format like a TV drama, but I can't recommend this to the majority of would be readers. <<less

I want to encourage more readers to read this because I can assure you all that the author really has great writing skills.

I want to recommend:
- Those who like strategy & guild politics type of novels!
- Those who are okay even if the MC isn't OP (though his brain is OP) :P
- Those who are less into romance (no heroines fixed so far)
- Those who are less into action (MC is not a hunter so he wasn't included in the action but acting as the raid command operator)
- Have a bit bromance

The main character has been sentenced to a terminal illness and he is unable to accept the reality and deny the approaching death but then he believes that there will be a way to cure his rare disease. I believe it's not a disease but maybe a blessing imo. The MC is a realistic person and uses his brain a lot and also other characters' development is amazing.

For example, I really like hunter Noh Song-rin. The author wrote him as a rough-looking guy and has a criminal record at first, but actually he has a cute side of him and became smarter as time goes on and here's one of my favourite dialogue:

The story isn't finished yet so I don't want to spoil too much. Overall, this is a great read and worth the time. My rating will be 10/10.

A very unique take on the hunter genre. The worldbuilding is great, the author really expands on the inner workings of hunter society. Nothing feels like it’s out of place or forced. It portrays hunters and guilds as a business first, which really works well with the South Korean setting, with chaebols, guilds, and associations interfering with each other to keep their power and squeeze the most money. Every character has their own ambitions, goals, and principles which makes the political battles much more entertaining. The other characters and even the villains also show intelligence, making them feel like a real threat.

TL;DR, A great strategy and politics novel where every character feels real. The MC is really smart, but can’t predict everything. <<less
