Qiao Xi is a young demon in an internship. According to the rules of the Demon Academy, in order to pass the internship, you must successfully seduce a human and make him willingly give his soul to you.

Qiao Xi confidently created a false identity, came to the human world, and began to focus on entrapping his target– Han Tian. However, after many days of work, this naive, cute little demon didn’t know that his target was actually a high ranking angel charged with protecting the city they lived in.

Without the power to ‘seduce’, Qiao Xi decides he will try to capture his target with money schemes or contracts but he, himself, ends up addicted to the sweet, intoxicating taste of Han Tian’s food and he ends up becoming the prey…

Not just fluff! This story was unexpectedly really good! It packed in a whole lot more than what the title, the synopsis, or the cover seem to suggest.

Based on the book image, I thought it was going to be another cute and fluffy story. Indeed, this is how it starts. Later, sinister characters start to appear, and the story gets deeper. I had no idea what kind of ride I was in for! There are sweet parts, funny parts, and parts that stabbed my heart. BUT thankfully it is a... more>> happy ending.

The story itself is about the cute adorkable MC Qiao Xi, a demon student, who needs to finish up his graduation project and prove that he can capture a pure soul through money rather than demonic charm, i.e. Seduction. He unfortunately decides to target the ML Han Tian who happens to be a super powerful angel.

This is a slow-burn romance (with no smut) where the MC is actually the complete opposite of an incubus - the story explains why - but it causes the MC to be slow to understand his feelings.

You must read the last extra!! It explains how critical things came together from the point of view of an important side character.

Definitely a 4+ for plot so rounding up to 5 stars since more people should give this a try. <<less

Plot would be fine. Characters would be fine. Fluff would be fine. Except the intelligence of the so-called top student of the demon academy MC is so below 0 that it took pained breaths to finish this. Yes, he's naive. But naive doesn't equal subpar intelligence??? Author frames him like a child, which also makes the novel loses its appeal. Don't get me started on how it practically feels as if the ML is raising a child?! What in the pe*ophilia?! I get that the MC is navigating emotions and... more>> whatnot, but for godsake, he's not navigating intelligence as well. <<less

A heart warming book with characters that really come to life. I like the slightly naive personality of the MC and the numerous twists and turns the author throws into the mix.

I also like how subtle the romantic development is - it's not quite a slow burn, but the growing interest and affection manifests in little ways that accumulate into an unbreakable connection.

It's quite funny how the angel ML acts and thinks less like and angel than the demon MC. I think this is one way the author uses to... more>> show that people are more than their birth or background. Even coming from such a black and white environment, there are evil angels (otherwise, how would there be fallen angels?) and good demons. I thought it was especially touching how the author made a point of showing how lovingly treated the demon orphans were compared to most human ones.

Overall, this story did not disappoint and was a wonderful, engaging, quick read. <<less

This novel is recommended if you like male damsels in distress; you can live vicariously through the MC's point of view, enjoying a romance of being parented by your mature lover. Oh, and also, if you have paedophilic tendencies, you can enjoy this novel vicariously through the ML's point of view, because MC is mentally 7 years old, the kind who needs help with shoelaces. You could even work with everyone to gaslight him so that he stays in a clean, safe little world. I'm not really either type of... more>> reader, however. 3 stars. <<less

Main story and Extra's protagonist feels like two different characters. That's just the reason why I felt some ick while reading the extras and reduced myrating from my usual 5 star practice.

Cute short story. Its kinda fluff, but MC really just abit too naive. Lol. Especially on the AU arc. But I really love the side couple. It’s a simple story between and cold angel and a sweet naive demon, but of course there a twist at the end. Overall it’s a no brainier romance. So just enjoy it as it is. Thank you

Rated 4 but it's probably more of a 3.5

A cute story. It has an interesting premise. I was second guessing the mc's demonic identity the entire time, just like the ml, so that was written really well.

I found the ending a little bit disappointing. It felt a bit rushed and I just wasn't a fan, but that's down to my personal preference. It shouldn't put you off giving the story a chance!

The translation is decent. Good enough to read but there are some simple errors, such as saying she when... more>> it should be he, and some words that just don't fit. It's still good enough to read though without detracting too much from the story - thank you to the translator for taking the time and effort to translate the story.

The extras start around chapter 59 I think. I actually quite liked the extras, all but one of them are an au for the MC and ml. It was interesting and refreshing. I also quite liked the very last extra which is Evans' monologue.

Generally, if you want something that has fluff and something that resembles a plot but is still an easy read, you should give this a go. <<less

This novel had it all! I just loved this. The way our sweet little demon (who is way softer than angels) interacts with our cold angel (who is more ruthless than demons), has healed my aching heart.

I felt there was some power imbalance between the two, most probably because Han Tian knew already but Qiao Xi was kept a bit in the dark. Nevertheless, our little demon's misunderstandings are the cutest.

Just as a reviewer here said, if you want to enjoy cute, fluffy novel that actually has a storyline, you... more>> better get into this as soon as possible. When I was reaching the end, I was wishing this story could have been longer. A bit more but the pacing was apt. So if they extended chapters then it would have definitely been dragging. And the extras was just the cream on our dessert.

Ahhhhh.. I love this novel... Could anyone please recommend me novels similar to these. <<less

Sweet desserts and ducky pajamas. This is fluffy as angel wings and good for days when you just need something totally silly to feel good.
