Don't be completely influenced by the bad reviews who didn't even read the whole novel. It's not fluffy on the first half, it is kinda dark too. But ML is not a psycho nor a stalker. He has the same dreams of the FL dying a gruesome death each night. It's enough to make him paranoid about protecting her. He helps her silently and although he did follow her sometimes, he never pressure nor hurt her. Also, no r*pe.... more>>

This... how should I say it? This novel is your typical CEO romance novel with questionable logic, way too many white lotus and green tea b*tches and way too many men who aren't even near understanding the concept of "NO". The later also includes the Ml. Dude behaves like a creepy stalker for the first half of the novel and an explosive vinegar jar in the other half. And jealousy isn't a pretty look on anyone.

Characterwise, there were more unlikeable characters than likeable ones. The ML and FL unfortunately also... more>> fall under the category of rather unlikeable imo. I already explained why I didn't like the ML so let me get to the Fl. At first, I was okay with her. Not too special or memorable, just your regular mary sue heroine.

When she regained her memory of the book being actually her past life and ran away, my opinion of her plummeted. I am no mother and I don't intend on ever becoming one, but reading about a mother abandoning her child for several months like that just doesn't sit well with me, even if she left him with his dad. I mean, sure, feel guilty or whatever for something you aren't responsible for (it's not like she caused the car accident that killed them both). But if you feel so guilty towards your son and regret not having seen him growing up due to his early demise, don't run away from him. A real mother would turn her guilt and regret into motivation to do her best in seeing her son grow up healthily, not run away and stick her head into the sand like an ostrich.

The unlikeable characters aside, a lot of the word count can be attributed to the author praising the Fl's and Ml's otherworldly good looks. I have forgotten how many times I had to read about how beautiful and fair the FL and how sexy the Ml's clavicles are...

Yeah... I can't say that I really enjoyed this novel. It was just a bit too generic and bland. I did manage to read until the end, though. But I can easily read tr*shy stuff until a couple hundred chapters in when I am bored so finishing a relatively short novel like this doesn't mean anything. <<less

The stories is more emotional than I that it would be. There were focus feelings of fear and insecurity of main and also supporting characters. Family drama and secrets more on the MC side. MC transmigration to the book is not unrelated to her life at all which was a bit of a twist. ML pursuit of MC was slow and sweet and the love just gradually came with a sudden peak.

Overall a good read.

It's a classic drama story as shown commonly in rich familys. There's fight for power, love, plotting, illegetimate children, sister bedding bro in law, etc. But all in under currents. The main plot revolves around MC trying to establish herself and gain independence and self reliability so she can suport her child even if her family's company goes in debt.

The story is considerably short. There's a little drama, romance, child care and fantasy.

The little pricks that pop up here and there are deftly dealt with as MC and ML are... more>> consciously or subconsciously aware of impeding danger and on look out for potential hazards. Most of the major troubles are taken care of by ML. All blackened characters either repent (majority) at the end or are served their just dishes. <<less

I'm giving up at chapter 133. I just can't stay invested. I was pushing myself reading based on comments that the ML gets better after chp 80 or so, and I guess his stalker type behavior is somewhat explained, but the story doesn't do a good job at getting past the poor first, second and third impressions of him. The story also doesn't do a good job at transitioning the MC from avoiding him to suddenly liking him. There are enough plot points there that it could have worked, but... more>> the story just doesn't do enough to show how and why her emotions are shifting, and it just feel abrupt. When she suddenly started to like him, instead of feeling the joy of MC finally starting to get together with the ML it knocked me out of the story. I do like reading this sort of novel, so obviously I'm willing to put up with a lot of tropes and perfect beauties and character halos, etc, but I really started get sick of the characters being oh-so-wonderful that no one can even feel jealous, the son so perfect and smart that he doesn't feel real... But overall, I quit reading because I'm bored and I just don't care what happens next.

It's not an awful story though, and the general plot from what I've read from others spoilers would probably be a nice read if the characters were better. <<less

Read up to ch 128 thru Fringe Capybara - apparently that’s actually ch 41 in the novel. They dropped it because apparently the story gets darker. But so far so good - it’s been a cute story so far. I think some tags are missing tho

Although MTL is a little hard to read, I believe it was worth it.

It was a very enjoyable read.

The translation that is here have similarities from the original novel but it's not quite the same. I personally dislike the plot from the translation... But liked the original.

I recommend it.

I just want to say that this novel is really not as bad as some make it to be.

I read the Fuyu Neko translated version then later had to finish using the mtl version, since it was dropped.

Its definitely not the best tm novel but it has more fluff than most. My favorite parts were in the middle when the ML & his son met. I was pleasantly surprised to see a ML that actually shows affection towards his son, especially physically.

I always find myself disappointed when ML is too... more>> strict on male child, that combined with the unnecessary jealously.

Xiao Cheng Cheng was definitely the highlight for me, especially his interaction with mom & dad.

Regarding some stalker tendencies the ML showed at the beginning, I’ll be honest I was creeped out a little bit but after finding out the reason, personally I can understand (also this is fiction so I don’t take it too serious).

I will say that there were some very melodramatic parts especially at the end & some loose ends that weren’t addressed or necessary. However I didn’t really feel the “dark parts” that some mentioned, at least not my definition of dark.

Overall I had some happy moments while reading but would probably not read again. <<less

So far it's rather dull, not too memorable. But that could be because of the way the chapters are split, making it feel like it's dragging out and so stacking chapters seems pointless if I can't even remember the past. The summary makes you think there will be humor but not really. ML is kinda creepy and I have yet to see a feature that makes me think it's worth excusing the creepiness (I do love a good black belly/yandere ml). MC seems smart but that could change once she... more>> and ML continue getting closer (it always seems like the MC gets dumber after the relationship starts in these types of novels or maybe I'm just choosing bad novels), she is always careful about her child.

I have read the spoilers and it seems really interesting but I don't think I have the patience to MTL the next chapters. It's just not worth it to me, so I'm dropping this novel. <<less

So far the story is good, usual clichés but not grating. However, I tried MTL and found that in translation, many important scenes were cut. Appreciate the translator's efforts but kindly cover the compete story.

i give this a five, a comparable books that stands as close to The CEO Villainous Childhood Friend in my opinion. Everyone should give this a try, the mtl is not that hard to read and won't hurt your brains, well it will only a bit from time to time but apart from that, there shouldn't be any issues.

The story is good for me, although I don't think I will remember the story as there are so many hidden story as illegitimate child, scheming and affair of the parents. This is not about affair of one parent but there're two pairs. And I really don't like it.

As the other comment mention, the repetitive of the FL beauty is a bit annoying. I know the author trying to explain the FL is such a beauty with a curvy figure but I don't think there's a need to mention of... more>> the bump in front and behind.

Somehow I really hope the FL and OriFL will become best friend rather than enemy. There's too many story that the FL and OriFL become enemy rather than friend.

The other point is the FL and ML will remember their 'past' and what I mean is the FL have the other memory.

Just go mtl this story if you want a fast reading. Search it by the original title in chinese. Just for information, the translation actually split into two from original one chapter. <<less

It's a nice story.

If you want to read a story about the progress of relationship, this is it. A bit cliche but with a bit of twist.

Some of cons are that

... more>> 1. I kinda feel that ML fall in love suddenly. I even feel that he at first just feel guilty about MC and somewhere in the story it become love? A bit weird.

2. Kinda feel redundant on how author describe MC as super gorgeous angel who looks soft and pretty and need to be protected and ML as capable domineering Boss with money to spend to protect his sweetheart.

But it's okay, I guess. Very nice. A bit hasty for the ending though. ? <<less

A fun and fluffy story to pass the time. There's a nice twist halfway through and it was implemented smoothly into the story—rather than abrupt plot device. Therefore, the writing and character development was well-thought out, and you see how the motivations and decisions impact the story in a meaningful way.

My only dislike is how Shu Bai ended...I would have liked a redemption arc for her, much like Cheng Huan, either way it's fine I guess.

I don't particularly like this novel but if you're bored enough to read then go on.

Reasons why:

1. The plot structure wasn't coherent. I don't know if it's because I MTLed it but I can't understand why it suddenly jumped into this to another.

2. The pacing. It's too fast. The way the author wrote feels rushed. She didn't gave details why it became like this. Like for example, the famous actress Jiang suddenly wanted to seduced Lu and destroy Chi Ying. CY's friend too, her feelings, events that lead to her... more>> blackening should be elaborated. The way she was portrayed was, "Oh no, she's becoming close to Qi Yuan, why aren't they bashing her? I'm super jealous."

3. It doesn't feel like they have character development. They are still the same as they are in their past lives only they have memories of it that caused them to know what they need to do. When CY remembered her first life, she became foolish and ran away and got kidnapped and yada, yada. You know what happened next.

Good Points if you read this:

1. At least they can make you feel the anger and tension when they encountered the villain who destroyed them in their past lives.

2. The novel wasn't long (for me).

3. It's bearable if you're bored.

Their child was like a pop up tool everytime. When there is tension, etc.

And oh don't forget Cheng Huan and Gu Yuanchen, both fell in love with CY but no explanation was given. <<less

A good read when you are bored. The story starts off great but it gets quite confusing at the end. The author kinda changes her story about 30-40 smtg chapter in so if you MTL this not from the official website some parts may be confusing.

The twists are interesting and one of the things that differentiate this story.

My biggest pet peeve is that the last part of the summary is only mentioned in a few sentences in the last chapter. I was really looking forward to that and it feels... more>> like was added at the last minute.

Overall not a bad story.

I like that the MC and the ML remember their past life (the original novel storyline) it makes the story more interesting.

However, the plot about the MC family feels tiring for me. There's too much drama and it is too rushed.

MTLed the rest of the novel after the stopping point of the translators.

I expected something a little like "The Villainess FSC Raising Her Bun" (it was the similar title, I'll admit) but this starts with the "romance" first before moving into doting dad territory. Right from the beginning, it's about the ML chasing the FL and trying to help her from the shadows. However, there is actually a reason for his obsessiveness.

He dreams of her getting run over by a car every night since the second time they met. The description might be a bit dark for some as he literally states that it's "into dust and blood" and that the person backed up over her repeatedly. It becomes his mission to make sure that never happens to her.

The poor guy just wants to protect her and quickly falls in love with her. The first bunch of arcs has her avoid him as she views him as the cause for her death in the first life but she eventually learns of the reason why he's obsessive. And it isn't too long after that he gets to know his son.

Unfortunately, that causes his dreams to change and he starts seeing both her and the son die in that same horrific way. Only his dream isn't like the son was tacked on out of concern and more like a memory. It later becomes clear that he's dreaming of how the FL and their son died in the first lifetime.

There are some dark moments thrown throughout (such as a creep after the FL and a kidnapping plot) but it gets darker towards the end of the novel. The truth of the FL's family and the previous timeline is revealed. It's a little cliche but still enjoyable (just maybe if it gets translated, MTL is pretty brutal to read). My favorite part about the whole thing is ->

Learning that the ML probably loved her in both timelines and that was why she was mu*dered. In both timelines, she left a note with her name and phone number on it before she left that first morning but someone took it. The ML spent 5 years in each life trying to find her. It was never defined if that was out of responsibility or love-at-first-sight (even though he couldn't make out her face, he stated he would definitely know her body shape) but he starts this new life with an almost obsessive need for her to be safe. Which would be an extreme reaction if he hadn't loved her in the previous timeline.

The ML does seem creepy at first, I'll wholeheartedly agree with that, but the author did include another person who acts even worse to draw the attention away. While it's not my favorite story on here, it was still a nice read.

The premise is good and really interesting but... the execution is way lacking

  1. the character's personality feels inconsistent and not solid
  2. The writer keeps describing the same thing on literally every chapter like how beautifull she is, how her eyes shaped like cherry, Etc. Its fine to describe it to reader but keeps repeating it every chapter is just nah
  3. The change on character decision and feelingd are so abrupt like when she doesnt want to have anything to do with him on 1 day but start to interact and message him good night and good morning everyday on the next day just because he got fever and nightmare? Like what? It just doesnt make sense
  4. There's no depth in every character and no chemistry between them since the author just keeps on describing how beautifull or handsome they are but the interaction and interaction just to abrupt
  5. The setup is just too much, I get that the ML and MC described as op people, but it still doesnt make sense that literally EVERY people on different s*x fall in love to them and those from same s*x envy them.
OVerall, the it has great potential to be a really nice novel if only can be executed well, but the story progression is weird for me and the characters development also not consistent and lacking hence... more>> I dont feel any emotion reading it <<less

ok maybe the author wanna make the reason why being that they're both from past life / transmigrate / time travel (I don't even know which to use to describe now cause it's like a little of all but not? It's just not typical. So because of those circumstances, they have residual feels for each other so they fall for each other?? But I still can't see when the ML fell for the FL cause according to flashbacks, ML dunno who FL was and the scene suddenly jumped to the cat accident.
