His life consisted of misfortune after misfortune, culminating in an unlucky death during an incident on a school boat trip, trying to save a girl he barely knew. After death, he met a god of reincarnation who requested that the hundred or so dead passengers—one of them being the girl he tried in vain to save—be reincarnated into another world.
Yet a series of unfortunate events forced Hiroto to reincarnate with even less luck than before, starting with nothing but a tremendous amount of Mana. His second life, far worse than his first, came to a cruel end.
However, upon meeting the god a second time, he was informed that there would be yet another reincarnation—one that had already been set in motion and could not be stopped. Not wanting Hiroto to live long, the god cursed him before he was reborn in the hopes that he would either die quickly or commit su*cide.
Hiroto was reborn once more as a half-Vampire, half-Dark Elf. A Dhampir. Not wanting a fourth life, he is determined to live this third life with the only things remaining from his previous lives—death-attribute magic and his enormous Mana pool.

But despite all that, I can't help but feel creeped out. I've read many reincarnation novels, so I've started to take into consideration the "ethics" of the story. I mean, doesn't that feel creepy when your child is a reincarnator with memories of more than 20 years of living ?? It's seriously gross when you think about it. And not only that; in some stories like this one, they are just born out of someone's womb, which is equal to stealing someone's life, the original owner of the body. I can't focus on the story when the mother tries to show her affection on a totally weird baby, no matter how you view it. And besides the story has nothing new, just generic story about reincarnation and levelling up to become OP, the only merit it has is that the writing style and the story are slightly better than the others.
- OP MC
- MC who isn't easily led around by his nose or controlled by those around him
- Steady revenge (aka the MC doesn't kill people until he is stronger than them or he hurts them in other ways as a source of revenge)
- An MC that is cunning and meticulous in not only his revenge but day-to-day life
- An MC who actually works to become OP rather than ones who just have power
- An MC who doesn't push his ideology on a boatload of people
- Battle scenes later that progressively get more and more intense
- There's a harem (that doesn't all fall in love with him at first sight but actually get to know him more and love him for who he is)
- Dependable subordinates instead of weak people surrounding the MC
- Growth (of everyone involved in the novel over time)
- Chapters are long
- Translation quality is phenomenal
The Cons:- Some parts are a bit slow
- You have to read the 'side-chapters'. They aren't really side-chapters due to how much influence they have on the novel and the insight it gives to everything going on with the world (s)
- Despite there being a harem, romance is still not a part of it but there is a good reason why
Spoiler
[collapse]
- Revenge is slow (but the build-up makes it worth it so is sort of balances out)
- MC is underestimated a lot, which can be a bit irritating but it gets better over time.
Overall, I love this novel. Give it a chance. The MC isn't generic if you read further and see his slow development andThe MC is still super young. They are waiting for him to get older and for him to actually have a s*xual interest in them along with a romantic interest. It is explained repeatedly that the reason some really like him is is strength and the way he protects those he cares about. Strength to the girls who fall for him is important and they are also all long-lived girls. Thus, age doesn't really matter to them. They are surrounded by monsters that have kids when they are a year old (goblins) and more and have a different sense of these things than 'people'.
growing insanity.
