This story is exactly like it's MC: adorable, lovely, straightforward, and very, very s*upid. It does exactly what it says on the tin: the MC coaxes the blackened villain, again and again. No thoughts head empty QT romance at it's finest, 11/10 will recommend

OG Review:

Only 3 chapters into the translation, but I already love this!!

MC is a system-turned-human, and he's bound to a "save the villain" type system. Systems are fluff balls with wings that like being rubbed/rubbing, and MC retains this trait as a human. He's silly/cute but not completely innocent, by the third chapter he's already thinking that "rolling in the sheets" is a good way to lessen the villain's blackening value... I am really interested in this silly/cute MC that is also willing to do dirty things! He apparently remembers... more>> a previous host of his really enjoying "rolling in the sheets", so he is looking forward to it!

ML is the sick-yandere type from what I can tell so far, so 10/10 from me lol.

I will probably update this review in the future. The translation quality is also very high! :)

Edit 1, after 40 chapters:

I totally didn't expect this novel to give me such a raw and accurate depiction of depression and healing. Yeah, ML's motivations may seem twisted, but that is what I am here to read! I actually find it so beautiful and interesting. Normal people may feel otherwise :)

The translation quality is still great, and I really love the writing style. I don't find MC to be cringey at all but that's just my personal opinion! I think he's so cute and I LOVE how proactive he is, he always does the most to address ML's issues and concerns, and cares so deeply about him. He also tries his best to use his actions to give ML reassurance and love.

MC isn't a man baby AT ALL in my opinion, he's so sweet and genuine, you can feel how much he cares for ML. He always does the most to make sure they are communicating healthily, which is aided by his very straightforward and honest personality. Just because he is cheerful doesn't mean he's childish!! However, I respect other people's opinions, these are just my personal thoughts!

Also, MC actually really enjoys "rolling in the sheets" and kissing! <<less

It’s okay. I liked it a little at first but it is cringe. VERY cringe.

Reading about a cutesy, innocent and naive MC is just brain rotting, especially when the MC starts begging for kisses and hugs. Like I get he used to be a robot or AI / system but cmon... He’s been with numerous hosts who have done dirty things before but somehow lacks any kind of knowledge about everything.. I think the author mixed up robot AI with man baby.

For example, it’s mentioned a couple of times how... more>> he used to be an AI robot system administrator and how robotic he was. However 531 and MC act exactly alike and the MC is a human now.. So my point is when MC was a fluff ball and went on all these missions through different worlds, why is he so s*upid?? He went through multiple worlds with ghosts before but he’s afraid of a crappy horror film with bad acting?

If you’re looking for angsty soft core yandere x dumb & naive, this is it. 90% of the time is the “yandere” ML solving his own angsty mental issues while 10% is the MC rubbing ML. <<less

Well, yes, most of the novel revolves around MC convincing the villain over and over again, but that's precisely the title of the novel.

As seen in the synopsis, MC is more dedicated to giving love to ML than anything else. He deeply cares for him, accepts all his issues, and seeks to help him, all while enjoying displays of affection. It's a bit silly but charming, something one would expect from someone who was once just a data-based system.

I won't deny that by the third or fourth arc, I felt... more>> the plot becoming somewhat repetitive for my taste. However, I kept reading and realized how much I enjoyed the presence of different genres in each arc, with MC, ML, and their relationship being the only constant.

It had been a while since I read a novel with this many chapters, and if you're looking for a very dedicated, cute, flirtatious MC, with varied and entertaining plots, and lots and lots of affectionate moments, you should give it a chance. <<less

Dropped in the middle of arc 3.

I'm probably not cut out for naive, dumb MCs. The first two worlds I could stomach it because what the MC lacked in common knowledge he made up for in sincerity. It was still very frustrating to see the MC being an idiot and the system only being even more idiotic. Given that the MC is so dumb and innocent, how could they be reassured to let him run around with a system so fking dumb? Not only that, the system is also selfish... more>> af and doesn't even think for the good of its host. Otherwise, how could the system ignore the feelings of the host and keep urging the MC to abandon someone he loves in order to get himself a good evaluation? Plus the system hiding things out of its own volition for its own benefit.

The breaking point was when the MC ate 30 bowls of porridge in front of someone who had basically lost his mind in order to convince him to eat just because "he couldn't think of any other way." The MC has 0 knowledge of how to handle these situations and literally doesn't even know what's going on. Even if he didn't know how else to do it couldn't he ask reliable experts for advice? At times like this we need a system who can actually do things instead of just screaming and shouting and occasionally providing a locator tech. I can't blame the MC for being dumb af but it's frustrating to read for me. Alas. <<less

I love it when the MC accepts all of the ML's flaws and pain and loves him regardless, and the ML is motivated by MC's love to heal himself (still yandre tho). The CP is really sweet together! All the arcs have pretty distinct settings with the ML having different sources of trauma in each one, and the MC tries to decrease the ML's blackening value and save him.

I love it. I really like how MC is confident in initiating kissing and other intimate stuff cause usually a lot of MC are pretty shy in doing those or just goes with the flow. If you want to read a fluffy smut QT where MC heals ML from trauma then I recommend this.

In beastman arc, they had a baby. I wish it was shown how MC and ML took care of the baby more: (. I was really surprised to see MC be pregnant here coz in most QT novels, MC doesn't get pregnant even if they transmigated to an omega, ger etc. So I was pleased to read it here

If you like a cutesy innocent coquettish MC along with a possessive obsessive and yet still super doting ML, with a repetitive plot that is full of fluff, mushy romance, faceslapping and no angst - then this is for you.

Good for a casual read to pass the time.

  1. The novel's way of presenting the MC can be infantilising or making childlike behaviours appealing. It's cute definitely, but when you read it, sometimes you go "uhm... okayyy..." (i.e red flag). I personally think that the MC checks the stereotypical airhead character, but like a little more lower.
  2. The novel definetly has some sort of character building to it because they build that lore or backstory, and they have plot but it can be easy to predict (I skipped like an arc and all honestly felt like nothing changed except the world style.
  3. It's digestible (take it with the grain of salt because even I'm second guessing myself), when it comes to reading.
  4. It's something you really have to turn your brain off just to read, something to pass time. But tbh there are better things to read to pass time.
  5. The ML is the typical posessive bro but he has that backstory which is not that bad, something where you'd just be: "oh he traumatised."

I absolutely loved the first arc (CEO). I love a good Gary Sue MC but it’s often cringey how extreme it gets, but it was done perfectly here. The MC is willing and actively initiates affection to the ML, and he is genuine beyond just completing a task. ML has a mental illness that is fully fleshed out, explained and he willingly makes himself get treatment. Their codependency is backed with actual affection and I loved seeing all the stolen moments they got to themselves. Arc 1 has a special... more>> place in my heart and I will definitely reread to see them again.

In arc 2 we still have some of the development we got from arc 1. Unfortunately I don’t think it holds up as nicely as arc 1 did. Everything after that became a brainless Gary Sue moment filled with lust between MC and ML. <<less

Dropped it after a few arcs. Was able to go through some of them but there is a limit to how much I can read about them kissing tbh. There is a zombie arc which is like 70% descriptions of them kissing or doing something R rated and 30% plot.

I mean there isnt even much of a plot anyway. ML has a tragic life, they meet, ML doubts MC in the start, realises MC likes him a lot, Kiss kiss kiss, Blackened value drop, oo the person who caused tragedy... more>> comes back, more kissing while solving the very minor villain, more kissing and the arcs get over.

Sometimes they were so happy it had me wishing, there was an arc where the MC dies and the ML goes mad or something, ngl.

Only read if you can turn your brain off and go through 310 chapters of no plot. <<less

I haven't finished Arc 5 yet since the translation for the arc isn't done. I don't want to read mtl so I'll wait it out.

All I want to say is I love the story. I've read a lot of similar stories but Lin Yuan just stuck out for me.

He's extremely sincere, naive, and innocent. A typical white lotus. But he's a special kind.

I like reading about naive protagonists -- that's why I'm here. At first, I thought the story can't get any more cheesy and cringey with all his innocent... more>> antics.

But like I said, he's special. Lin Yuan is weird. Starting from the first arc, I've been crying and even more so in Arc 3.

Arc 3 is my favorite. Simply because of how Lin Yuan was so willing to sacrifice himself just to help our ML. That hurt me so much because in reality, we probably will never find someone so willing to love us. For me, sacrifice is not just the act of being willing to die for someone else. That's easy because we die anyways. What's hard is the act of sacrificing your time, blood, sweat and tears just to help someone.

The earlier part of Arc 3 made me feel lonely because of my thoughts. I thought it was like being a family member of someone paralyzed, comatose, or brain-dead. You never know when they'll wake up or if they ever will. It just made me feel sad, miserable and lonely.

You know what I've been thinking as I continued reading? I wish I had a Lin Yuan in my life. He's a beacon of light in the middle of the darkness. Just imagine how it must feel to be going through harsh times and suddenly, there's someone happily supporting you, trying to understand you, and being your comfort zone no matter what.

The story wasn't quite able to capture the depressive quality I'm looking for. But it's enough. I can get through with just my own sad delusions. Reality is the worst kind of sad anyways. <<less

This novel was exactly what I needed: just dogfood everywhere. I did like how in each arc the mls reason for blackening is different each time but the plot does get repetitive. I take a short break after I read each arc tho so it was an amazing read for me

The MC is cute and genuinely loves the ML so he's willing to do anything ML wants.

The ML is obviously a bit yandere and obsessive but he treasures the MC so he does his best not to hurt him and... more>> gets his approval first.

Mostly focused on the romance so side characters are practically non-existent. The system is also s*upid and not involved in the story much. It's just so simple, soft and sweet but still has some elements related to mental illnesses.

The ancient arc (arc 3) made me cryy. The ML had a nice family but they were killed and the way it described him missing his parents was heartbreaking for me. He literally just wanted his parents to scold him while his brothers would defend him but he realised he can't have that anymore. AAEeE

When I saw this just now, I was like, it felt kinda familiar... like I don't know if I've already read this web novel before. I've read so much QT and QW in MTL that I've already forgotten some of them... But when I read it, I finally confirmed that I had actually read this before. It's good, but maybe because I got lazy, I didn't finish it. But it was good.

Extra: I got so obsessed with reading Chinese BL on Chinese sites that I didn't realize some of them... more>> had already been translated on Novel Updates. I wish more people would translate sweet and wholesome QT or QW stories.

Edited: Oh, I finally remembered why I stopped reading this. It wasn't because I got lazy; it was because the ML is always described as beautiful, making it hard for me to imagine him as the top. It's not that I judge people's position in bed based on their appearance, (like...I'm also a fan of muscular bottoms/uke😋my favorite) but when I read BL stories with a super beautiful or handsome top, it kind of irks me. It feels like the author has a favoritism towards the top, you know? Because a lot of Those toxic, narcissistic tops are always described as very hot, handsome, or beautiful, etc. Human existing.

And then the MC is often only described with a cute, innocent appearance...

Like, can the MC be the one who's super hot, beautiful, or gorgeous just for once?

Love the MC here though, and for the ml, nah not really a fan, like he is fine but as I said his not just my type of ML.. <<less

This Novel is Truly Wholesome.

The first 2 arcs might feel average to some people who had read lots of QT novel. But it's still Wholesome Cute and Lovely to me.

But the 3rd arc MC had to work hard to help ML. Like seriously, in the beginning he had to hurt himself to heal and feed ML. That was Heavy, but truly shows how MC was such a Precious Caring person. That was Bittersweet moments.

ML also one of the best person. When he truly regards MC as his most precious, that's... more>> when he know he have to get better and be good for MC's sake.

MC is Naive but far from s*upid. He won't let ML be wronged. He won't fall for anyone's trap. He won't ask ML to forgive people who don't deserve them.

My point is this Novel is Truly Lovely so far and I'm Absolutely LOVING IT!!!

I really liked it ! I really enjoyed the first 2 arcs, they were pretty entertaining, but I feel it goes downhill after.

MC turned human from a system of course is going to be somewhat naive in the beginning and his actions were funny and cute. The 3rd and 4th arc however feel like instead of growing he is becoming more naive and s*upid. Not like I wanted him to drastically change, but his common sense growing would have been good.

The arcs also become more about the MC and ML getting together and hinting at... more>> naughty time. The first two arcs balanced the plot and romance better. Also what is with MC becoming shy and reserved all of a sudden about? The zombie arc all of a sudden everything makes him shy and he is reserved about doing the final step when in the first arc he was very willing and proactive.

I caught up with the translated chapters and don't care enough about the story to MTL, maybe I will pick it back up in the future. If I do I will rate it then and update my review.

The translation is well done and the translator seems like a lovely person, thank you translator! <<less

A wonderful novel with great main characters. The story revolves around their relationship and resolution of ml's mental and physical traumas. There were very good moments in the novel that clearly depict depression, addiction, and paranoia. And how you can deal with it. Or not to fight when it is possible to accept the situation (for example, agreeing to be locked up for life). Apart from those arcs where ML divides the soul into several bodies - I liked everything. I stopped after the 4th arc, find it abit repetitive.

I don't find MC annoying by any means. If I was a robot turn human I would probably cravr human warmth and touch like he does, especially doting on his husband world after world.

The arc plot really doesn't matter, they spend more time flirting and sweet talk plus xxxx the moment they get close together.

I just don't need to continue to know what's waiting for me so I just figure I stop where I was

Ok this novel is very cute and MC and his system are literally so s*upid together I always giggle at their conversations. It's like dumb and dumber most of the time lol.

I'm going to be honest I really enjoyed the first two arcs but arc 3 was way too much for me.
