As many other cases, this novel suffers from the chinese disdain for true farming and living in the countryside. These novels always start promising but quickly inject the usual themes of people being hidden children from powerful families from cities and the capital, the usual struggle of big noble families fighting for power and with that, lose sight of the country charm they had in the begining.

The FL is doormat after rebirth she still weak. She tried to be disobedient to her husband family to be fair, but she did it in lousy way. The FL family also a doormat everyone can step in their head they didn't know how to protect their daughter. They are good people but not good parent in my opinion. Like when you compare them with the evil character who will do everything to protect their children even when they are wrong you will know her family are useless

Like another reviewer said the FL stays a doormat even after her rebirth, even after what her husband did to her, she still wanted to reconcile in the beginning with him... like W T actual F. Her family is also submissive, letting everyone stepping on them. I though 22 chapters would be enough to see a smart clever FL but that’s not the case... I don’t know if she ever get to smart up... I also didn’t read long enough to see the charm/power of the ML. The intro could... more>> have led to a powerful story but it was so wasted. In the end, I can’t even sympathize with the female lead... I mean she died an unjust death so what happens before her death was really bad luck, she was pretty naive and had no way knowing. But after he rebirth, that was self inflicted misery... <<less

It hit ch 222 and things got interesting but at one point the MC wishes to stay with the ML for a long time. Then the author had the nerve to foreshadow and say 'she didn't know how hard it would be to accomplish'.

There were so many obstacles already for them to get together much less stay together. Now you're saying there's so much more? Idk I just wasn't in the mood. I wanted something happy

at the very least I wanted to see the MC and ML leave his horrible family behind. All they do is cause drama, one step mother/concubine after another.
