It is a great story! Different in the sense that there are not revenge plots, but only a strong desire to follow his dream and live for himself! The romantic part is cooked slowly, after many heart breaks and disappointment. I didn't watch the drama so I didn't know who was the ML, so for me it was a great surprise, I never saw him as the ML, only as a good friend. In short, it was worth the reading! I still want to read Pei Quing story!

Wow. MC does not have an easy time, and neither do the other characters around him. I really appreciate that about this story, the fact that the author really isn't afraid of their characters suffering and going through trials.

AHH I'm so sad about the romance too, I HATE when it's a tumultuous romance where there are more than one parties because my heart always breaks for the one that doesn't work out...

FZH seems like such a good guy (at one point the writing was kinda iffy so it made it seem like he had ulterior motives but I'm pretty sure that's not the case at all), and it makes me sad that they probably won't work out based on spoilers... I love him :' (It makes me so sad that his character exists, sigh.

Btw it seems the main ML is FJ, which I do like as well but I'm the type with chronic second ML syndrome. I hope Li Rui suffers in hell, and FJ flies up to the heavens again.

He encountered countless betrayal in his love life as well as his career; nevertheless, he stayed strong and brave on without losing hope in humanity and the trust in others.

I am very invested in the plot and Yun Xiu's journey to stardom and finding his eventual true love. His undying passion for performing and for acting as well as his hardworking attitude appeals to me. He makes me care for his wellbeing and success. He is genuine and sincere towards his lovers despite his past bad experiences in romance. Unfortunately, he still has to go through some more heartbreaks before he found the right one worth spending his life together.

I admire the author's creative ability and I can feel that the author has put tons of homework into the writing. The story is full of substance, and the characters are well fleshed out. The author is successful in the world-building and brought out much-hidden truth behind the glitzy showbiz world. It is an industry shrouded in corruption, politics and darkness. The truth behind this lucrative and tempting industry is beyond ugly and cruel. Talent and hard work are overlooked for personal gains and favouritism. Fans are readily manipulated with false reports. It is also unsettling that the actions of these blinded fans are so extreme and beyond cruel. Many do not realise these irresponsible actions could cause more harm than good and possible death as well.

I felt like I have learned a ton on the intricacies of acting and directing, as there are countless acting scenes in the story. To me, this is another interesting part of the story that pulled me in. Overall, this book is worth reading as the scenarios are mostly realistic, the story plus characters are multifaceted and have much depth.

This story basically have MC as a kind innocent angel [which is my fav] if you don'y like then skip some of it, honestly the past-life gong is a d*ck and the current life zhi you [mc's stage name means freedom] it shows that past-life gong has regrets. So all should be good, I have only read like 50c of this so I'm not sure if it's accurate tho
