MC’s mom is depicted as someone who forced upon marriage. Hold a grudge as she was not granted with child, almost killed MC’s brother while pregnant, and selfishly ended her own life.

Honestly I can’t sympathize to MC at all, what he did, his reasoning, and his wish for his family destruction are his own self-pleasure, his narcissistic desire, and his selfish ambition.

His father and brother have grounds for hatred. What he did was meticulous, but it doesn’t hold enough ground. Your mom is not an angel, and she’s a selfish bit*h who was selfish to the end.

Skipped it and read the in*est part 96-98. Basically family went bankrupt, father was sent to a sanatorium and amnesic. The second brother is a recovering addict, the first brother has a manipulation and brother complex, illegitimate brother was sent to jail. And he happily got married to his first cousin. ML deserved much better

1. The hotel incident where MC got sick and the hotel staff wanted to find someone to take care of MC, but MC's phone was broken so she poked through MC's rubbish and it was ML's number. -> how ridiculously illogical is this whole scenario. A fever doesn't render someone unconscious so if they needed him to contact someone to take care of him, they could've woken him up and asked him. Secondly why would a young adult need to be accompanied all night when all they have is a fever that's not serious enough to be admitted into the hospital? Thirdly if he really needed to be accompanied they could've just sent him to the hospital. Fourthly, what hotel would try to access a guest's phone directly or call a number on a torn up piece of paper in the tr*sh to take care of said guest?? Like... it's a torn up piece of paper in the tr*sh. It's invading the guest's privacy right in front of them (I mean MC was having a fever but he would've found out once he got better) and it's likely to be a frigging random stranger on the other line. Honestly just found the whole thing s*upid.

2. MC welcoming ML's hugs -> err I know it's stated that he likes it because it reminds him of his grandfather... but why the heck would he accept an embrace from ML? ML's existence to him at this point is someone who's very close to his stepbrother and his cousin that never reached a hand out to him throughout his first life and who is actively guarded against him. ML did a few nice things in the 2nd life but it's also not to the point where MC actually trusts him so why on earth would MC want to be vulnerable enough to be hugged by him at that point. Like if MC actively tried to seduce ML or something to use ML I would've understood but letting ML hug him for comfort just doesn't really make sense given their relationship at that point (c20+ to c33).

and if he just needs a guy to hug him, he could find a boyfriend or even pay someone to do so if he doesn't trust anyone. MC even had some big showdown with ML about his resentment towards ML where he talked about how ML did nothing for him when he was down and out and everyone wants him to be useless etc etc. So why the heck would he suddenly forget all that and be like oh yeah I resent you and I suspect you might be spying on me for the enemy I'm plotting against but it's ok, hug me.

honestly 90% of their accidental meetings just feel forced. ML bumped into MC when MC was drunk, bumped into MC when MC was attacked by gangsters, bumped into MC the one random day MC decided to go home. But I can ignore all this because yeah author has to give reasons for MC and ML to meet and fall in love yada yada. But at least let them get closer in a way that makes sense???? Tsk.

But the biggest thorn while reading this is was, yes, the in*est. No matter how much I tried to ignore the MC constantly referring the ML as "cousin" even AFTER being in a relationship really made it hard for me to continue. But I persevered. Most part I pretended they were not cousins, which was almost impossible with the MC going "cousin this, cousin that" everytime he talks to the ML.

I wish the author made them be childhood friends that had really close family ties instead them being literal first cousins. Like genetically its not a problem with this being a MLM relationship but morally and socially. And everyone's so nonchalant with it when they discover their weird dynamic.

The MC and ML are first cousins through the Mc's dad's side of the family, so midway when it was hinted that MC might not be his son I was glad that they were atleast biologically not related. But alas I got a fcking whiplash from plot twist that MC is ACTUALLY the ML's first cousin.

You thought the first cousin in*est was the worse, wait till you read the extras. MC's half brothers are actually fcking each other. Like full siblings doing the nasty in the sheets. FULL SIBLINGS, elder brother and younger brother 🫠. Anyways you could ignore their story (like I did) because its not necessary nor is it interesting.
