TL;DR: If you want yet an other OP female reincarnator, with the usual "romance", this one focuses on making equipments rather than the usual potion making.

It's not the translator's fault, but I am getting a bit sick of all of those novels with the main character called "tr*sh", then suddenly something happens and he/she becomes better than everyone else.

For the most part, it's either being completely replaced by someone else (the body stays but the soul is changed), so it's actually a different person that just happens to be recognized... more>> as the same one (like here), and/or finding a godly artefact that grants knowledge and power, gaining power through an item instead of someone else.

In the vast majority of cases, it is just a setup to be able to pit people against the main character while they are underestimating him/her, getting flattened as a result, then onwards to the next situation that has the exact same setup.

It's not like those novels can't be entertaining, they often are fairly nice to read, but it is starting to be so ab*sed all the time in chinese novels that it becomes the "beta male teen becoming OP in an other world and building a (s*ave) harem while both hiding and showing off" trope for chinese novels these last few years.

At least most of them are written quite a bit better, and the translators are not going for a barely english, unedited machine translation, so it's definitely not as bad to read, but it results in the same feeling of "I'm sure I already read something very similar to this, but which one was it?".

Why am I ranting so much about it in the review section?

Because even though there is one chapter worth of exposition for the "real" main character (not the body, but the soul), we are thrown right into the bullying after the reincarnation and right into the revenge as soon as chapter 3, and that is with short chapters, and the sole reasoning for all of it being "might is right".

Again, not the fault of the translator that this novel and so many others forsake good character building and introductions, and technically not the fault of the author either, as there is high demand for all of those cultivation-based novels (in china and in translation sites), be it with males or females as the main characters.

It just feels like such a missed opportunity for building a more interesting and diverse world each time, especially when the authors clearly have decent vocabulary, as well as a good grasp of the flow of the story.

I'll probably still end up reading it anyway as new chapters are translated and mostly enjoy it, so it might sound a bit harsh for no reason (which is why I am not giving it a rating, because it will be biased either way). <<less

The title is misleading.

A misleading title is almost tantamount to fraud for readers and is punishable by 2 stars deduction. This ain't weapon'smithing'. Its magical refinement of bullsh*t copy-paste mindless xianxia Deus Ex objects (Love Disciple Died Yet Again but the world mechanics are bullsh*t intentionally).

This novel is only so-so... for the moment when one has nothing to read or do... and is bored to death...

It starts good, with dynamic and the good part are the short chapters because one doesn't have to read too much to take a pause... the family plot it's dragged far too much as some other reviewer said. The people seem to be far less intelligent than the MC and Male Lead and adding to that how all the male and female people who see them both ALWAYS fall in love at first sight and become apparently possessed by lust or became idiotic on the spot. This repeats all the time up to ch. 2100. Always telling how godly handsome and cold and cool and bla bla bla, the male lead is, or how cute and intelligent and cunning little fox and bla bla bla MC is. Totally word count, nothing more.

MC and ML, seem to be madly in love with each other from their past life, and ML sacrifice too much for MC to revive her, and have sequelae for this that almost kill him and can't use force or battle with people because if he does, his soul get damage and will die at anytime. MC know this, and ML tell her not to do things and cause him to fight... and what MC do?... totally the opposite... almost get kidnapped, killed, always in those kinds of situations, and when ML faint or become EXTREMELY weak from saving her ass, the first 2 seconds she worries and them BAM!... smile happy like nothing happened... and worst is that ML know that she will continue to do that...

DUDE!!!... whats that?? eh!?!?... where is the love??... so you worry about him but when YOU almost make him die to save you, you smile like a ret*rd?... love!!!.. where are you??!!?!? I can't see you!!!

On a side note... the plot advance at a fast pace when the author doesn't get h**ny and what to write bullsh*t like the thing mentioned above... oh!... almost forgot... ML always kiss the MC the same way, forcefull, bite her lips until they bleed, and then insert his tongue almost up to her esophagus and make her die from asphyxia. She always reacts the same way... pushes his super sturdy chest, or bite his neck until she reaps a chunk of meat... and make him bleed... BUT... ML doesn't seem to care, and he thinks she's cute... what can I say... this novel is totally trolling me... Author has a bag of sugar instead of proper brain...

Enough of ranting... read this if you're bored to death. Like me... unknown to me I reached ch. 2100.

I'm enjoying this series as a novel on the side when I have nothing else to read. It's copy-pasta but it's at least slightly different... well, at least it's using different names.

More copy paste Xainxia

belittled/ab*sed female MC becomes most awesomely OP "Don't-F**k-With-Me-Or-You'll-Die-A-Million-And-One-Deaths-Becomes-I'm-OP" kinda junk. It would be better if they did a bit more than throw some super amazing person into the body of someone they claim to be the most tr*sh person in the world. Second daughter, third daughter, ninth daughter... There's almost a title for every possible daughter... more>> in someone's family to be the biggest piece-of-tr*sh-turned-OPness. Mayhaps, I'm just too jaded by the habits of authors to copy paste almost everything about their characters to an almost plagiaristic

This novel is categorized as a xianxia, but if you were expecting a cultivation novel, you are sorely mistaken. This is blatant shoujo court romance drama except with a Mary Sue MC who makes all the drama feel pointless and petty. It is one of those court romance novels where some poor horrifically ab*sed daughter of a noble household suddenly gets her soul swapped with one of those shameless Mary Sue type MCs who repeatedly humiliates everyone who's wronged her, occasionally pretends to be a wide-eyed innocent, and tries to... more>> wed the best husband in the imperial court, only to be helpless in the arms of a mysterious handsome cold-hearted imposing noble lord who only has eyes for her and is determined to seize her and turns out to be the best marriage prospect or something, and somehow this will all result in true love.

This novel overwhelmingly revolves around these petty dramas and the tr*shy romance with the ML who inserts himself into the MC's life nonstop and is so incredibly overbearing, forceful, and without a romantic bone in his body that despite all the description the author lavishes on him being handsome or sexy or noble you cannot help but feel repulsed by his hideous misbehavior; also, his cultivation is ridiculously above hers so she can't fight back at all, although she tries, but glorious ML effortlessly deals with her attempts to fend him off as he continues to force his advances on her (seriously!). His conduct is so repugnant and deplorable I would probably rate most rapists as a cut above this awful stalker, and the only reason you feel that the ML is suited for the MC (other than very obviously being the reincarnation of the MC's previous life's lover, despite the lousy attempts at ambiguity and drama the author tries to create about him possibly not being the reincarnation) is that the MC is a similarly unlikable shrew who wastes all her time pursuing petty revenge that doesn't matter. You see, given the MC's past as a super-awesome cultivator, she does not put the current imperial family in her eyes at all because of how low-tier her entire region is, and the crown prince she was engaged to is scum, so yes, pettiness is pretty much the sole reason she wastes so much time and effort on the courtly nonsense and competes for the crown prince's hand (who she does not want - crown prince is not the ML), just to screw over her household's 2nd daughter, who is admittedly a terrible person and used to bully her, but given that the MC leaving the low-tier region is a foregone conclusion, the reader is left without a proper reason to care about anyone or anything other than maybe the MC's maid, who is perhaps the sole decent human being in the novel and such a minor character you see next to nothing of her.

Over the course of the first few hundred chapters, there is maybe 1 or 2 chapters where the MC cultivates (this happens around ch 180 iirc) and immediately breaks through 9 levels of cultivation because of her super-OP cultivation which requires absurd amounts of herbs and stuff. The first fight happens in chapter 270 where she finally fights her household's 2nd daughter. That chapter is titled Bai Ruoqi vs Huang Yueli (3), and the first two chapters were in fact nothing but posturing. The fights are also completely uninspired and uninteresting. Everything is nothing more than an excuse for the MC to show off what an amazing genius she is by observing her opponent a bit then dismissively instantly flattening her while everyone else underestimates her. Afterwards there's a rub-it-in phase for good measure, because the MC is the kind of girl who would never pass on an opportunity to add insult to injury.

The writing is horribly plodding. You might consider that normal in webnovels, but the lack of development and multiple consecutive chapters wasted on just pointless descriptions of minor stuff and "oh my god what will people think" and audience speculation will really grate on you. It's such extreme filler that even the author will forget those details in the next few chapters. In fact, the author, as bad authors do, has a terrible habit of forgetting details in general. I don't just mean contradicting details mentioned a few dozen chapters before (which the author indeed forgets), or just 4-5 chapters ago (which the author also forgets), but even in the same chapter the author will contradict herself multiple times.

The writing is outright illogical, the worldbuilding is sparse, and the entire cast is just unlikable. The ML should be killed, the MC is a petty twit, and the drama is futile because it's a foregone conclusion how effortlessly the MC will deal with anyone who tries to scheme against her, except the ML, who the MC is helpless against. Terrible, tedious, half-assed story in all respects and a terrible waste of time.

Do not read, regardless of your tastes in writing. Find something better instead. <<less

I read up to chapter 930 so far. The story seems to start a little slow but it does pick up. What I like most is the romance. There is regular interactions between the MC and the ML and the development of their relationship is consistent with the plot of the story. I agree that the weak to OP premise is a little cliche. But, that alone should not be used to judge the novel. On the contrary, I enjoy reading novels where the MC gains strength to fight back... more>> against the people that oppressed her. I would actually find it really unsatisfying to have a MC that doesn't improve, is weak, and/or is constantly bullied by others. <<less

Love how strong the MC is at the beginning. Her methods are hilarious and not leaving any way for the opponent to escape. This time the MC already seem to have a connection with the ML is her past life. Different from just getting to know him.

Differently from others CN this MC can refine weapons, instead of the usual, pill making or medical knowledge (no offense). Everybody seems to hate how arrogant she is but it can't be helped.

Ever since she was three years old she has been nurtured with care at the sect, like a young miss. But then suddenly betrayed resulting in her death. Why wouldn't she be arrogant and cold to those around her. She does have the right to be arrogant, the way that I see it. After all she is a weapon refining genius, better than anybody I seen so far, and her cultivation is just below the Gods. So she has the right to be arrogant. Only somebody who is weak and has nothing, have no right to be arrogant, unlike her.

Probably the worst project of this translation site.

Lost interest after tens of chapters of dull plot and the cringe romances (thats if it even exist, rather than the repeated harassment). Kinda feel that the ML is a degenerate man with a kid mentality to approach his crush by repeatedly annoy, harass, and bullying the MC.

Saw the total chapters, and dropped coz I couldn't take this tortures anymore.

More like romance, romance, romance.... nope, sorry, tired with that sh!t already. Too many copy paste stuff from other novel, just replace the name, the ml, and the background and you find this novel is the same as every other novel of this genre

Hmm... Not really enough information to write a good review right now, but I wanted to change the rating since after reading up to the latest issue, I think the problems I brought up were temporary in nature. Don't want to randomly make 5 people wrong for no good reason though so I'm going to leave the original review up until the novel opens up into something more interesting.

Unlike so many readers who are tired of this genre yet continue to read them for some reason only to complain about hackneyed tropes, I happen to love this! Just a tip to these silly readers & reviewers: if you're tired of the genre, but keep reading them despite, the problem is YOU, not the genre. What are you? Masochists? Just do us all a favor and stop reading books you know you won't like lmao.

On to a review from a sane reader who has read up to Chapter 316.

MC:... more>> Not yet OP, but has capacity to practice every skill bc she has affinity to all the elements. So far, she's having hard time not falling for the ML bc the author hasn't exactly told us the past, but all the clues are there.

ML: Domineering, obsessed, possessive, OP, showing toxic traits like enjoying her jealousy since that's the only way he can gage her level of interest. If you hate these types of MLs, this novel is not for you so do us a favor and move on already.

The most annoying part is how everyone lacks the ability to properly communicate their feelings which cause delays, miscommunication, and drama. I also dislike how everyone, including ML's subordinates doubt & question her all the time. First such a domineering man, he should have at least 1 subordinate that's not so willful & ignorant to take charge.

There are lots of scenes between the two so far, which is great because some novels make the MLs disappear for days/months/years and we don't see them for 20+ chapters. Not this one... they have many scenes together!

I want to rate this novel 4/5 but due to low ratings I want to help raise it up because I do think it's worth reading. Is it extremely well written? No. <<less

Idk, why people are giving it 1-2 stars when you didn’t even bother to read it above 100-200 chapters or so. This is a xianxia novel, what do you expect of the female lead? To become god after 10 chapters who beats the hack put of everybody? Yes she’s a armament master- that’s basically a weaponsmith so there’s no mislead in that. Yes she does face a lot of stronger foes but that just helps her grow, at a good pace. Her growing strength pace is justified as she is... more>> well versed in a lot of things like armaments, arrays and all. If you’re reading it please read it till it reaches a significant chapter- I’m telling you I read till above 1000 chapter and then I can see some development in their romance. Romance is a slow paced and a slow burn but it’s so satisfying. As the book is above 4000 chapters we have slow development so many readers who aren’t patient enough- please don’t say it’s not good because it is damn good! I love the Fl, how she swindles money and how calm and unperturbed she is and the ML loves her to death, he is so devoted to her. If you can stick through for around 1200-1300 chapters or so you’ll not regret reading it. <<less

The progress is boringly slow. It might not be an issue in the original chinese novel since the update is obviously swift but with the translated one, it's a torture. A day or even an hour worth of events will last for 50 chapters maybe even more.

The chapter are short. Things are stretched out over multiple chapters (not necessarily stretched out, it's just that the chapters are short so something that should be done and over with in 3 gets taken to 12).

This book truly adheres to the "strength above all else" banner that most of the other books in the genre claim to. In some of the other books you may have seen scenes where ladies become infatuated with a handsome prince despite his inability to cultivate, ypu will not find that here. They might... more>> appreciate, but they never settle.

On the flip side of this coin is the fact that MC is known to be weak by the public, meaning that the powerful people who might want to side with her will have settle with making questionable decisions where they back her more powerful adversary (cousin), while giving her something s*upid as sh*t as compensation (it's more so that they don't feel guilty). This mess can get dragged on for ages when the adversary keeps on doing things that would have usually gotten them screwed over, but they get away with some light warning ("*insert name* just made a mistake, I'm sure they'll make better decisions next time.")

Overall 4.5 but I'll go with 5 (most of the stuff above can be pretty much ignored if you read it like me, thirty other books on your list to keep you occupied.) <<less

I've read till chapter 580, I've read the unflattering critics about it. Yes it's a generic story, transmigration, xuanhuan, romance (forceful love interest). But it's a good one, I don't begrudge the short chapters, it's rather endearing. The MC is not a frail flower, it's so good to meet a shameless female protagonist better than Su Luo from DKC. And this one is no alchemist, I like the change compared to those alchemist. The female lead is quite domineering, and I see no trace of submission in the romance the... more>> person who made that remark must not have read the story. The start of the novel was very interesting but somewhere in the middle I lost interest. Why? Because the Author is forcing the romance too early and too forceful that it feels s*upid where the Female MC don't have a choice but to be submissive to the Male MC on the occasion where she falls in love she will be came a b*tch Literally (Sorry but this is how I feel where this is going). I'll just wait for future chapters to skip to and hope for future development.

I just don't get it. Why is she not a an alchemist? She could both be an Alchemist and Armament master at the same time as she has flame spirit body. Cliche doesn't matter so long as things are interesting. But She truly is Naive. And doesn't fear consequence. She doesn't know how to keep low profile. She beats her rival sisters, not fearing that she would tell that to the main culprit of her downfall. She was just a trush and didn't have a sliver of Qi and yet... more>> she beat up the servants sent by her enemy. Why alert the enemy? Why? Why aleart the enemy beforehand? Why live in that clan knowing that everyone wants her to die? If she hand left the clan and gone to far into some seculded cave and cultivate then she could exact revenge when she is strong enough. Considering how many people have already mentioned this before, I'm not going to into detail, but this story has a very overused reincarnation story but is rather standard for this genre.

I have the tendency to read even crap stories for longer than I should, but this one hasn't really felt that bad considering its start.

... more>> The MC is OP and not useless ret*rd supported 100% of the way by main love interest (for a female protagonist, that's an A+ in my books).

In contrast, the MC isn't so omniscient that she seems to know everything and there is nothing left for the reader to look forward too, though she does have the adult walking among toddlers moments.

The common schemes that appear regularly aren't too repetitive and are different enough that I can keep reading without getting frustrated. Furthermore, the MC doesn't take sh*t from people, so there aren't the mildly infuriating times when MC doesn't immediately lay somebody flat for continuously being an ass.

The romance is kinda cute and I want to see what she decides on.

Overall it's a story that I think does a lot of the same things as other novels, but doesn't fall into the same pitfalls as many novels do. I'll continue reading it as it comes. <<less

This story is only so-so. I'm already 600+ chapters into the novel and I can tell you for sure, the other reviews were not lying.

600+ chapters and there really has been no mention of weaponsmithing. It's only been showcased a few times here and there but nothing definitive where we can really see her talent (s) shine. 600+ chapters and the FL has barely cultivated! Which I do not understand because this novel is marked as a xinxia novel and also tagged as a cultivation novel. I think who ever... more>> tagged this novel as such needs to rethink what this novel is really about.

The chapters are short and drag a lot into the next few chapters which is pretty wasteful to story building (in my opinion, of course.). The face slapping/ black belly showcase chapters take forever to go through. Probably 5+ chapters just for face slapping/ explanations which makes the story not really progress at all! It's mostly back and forth arguments for Pete's sake!

I really want to just drop the novel but I've already invested so much into reading it that I feel I have to just keep going until I really can't anymore. <<less

Story is a waste of time!

Typical reincarnation in a body of an ugly waste without cultivation then *poof* become beautiful and genius.

Added the fact that the story is super slow. In 180 chapters the MC is still ugly and without cultivation. And the male lead doesn't have a name up to that point!?

I really waste my time reading this.
