Hi, translator here!

Don't come into this expecting a serious story. This novel really had little drama, just pure fluff. Like clouds, cotton candy, whipped cream fluff. It's also sickeningly sweet and some parts were hilarious in my opinion. It isn't anything new and kinda cliche: naive MC and your classic ML who's the most handsome person ever & hopelessly in love with MC.

Some things I liked:

• • The first 70% of the story is pretty addicting to read. Not saying the last half isn't but it started off really good.

• • I liked that it was a campus romance which is kinda rare..? Okay, not really. I especially liked the campus forum and seeing other character's reactions to MC & ML's dog food relationship.

• • Grandpa and grandma are so adorable. I also like ML's mom a lot because she's pretty quirky too.

Some things that may put you off & my defense:

• • The summary kinda makes ML look extremely thirsty/creepy but their first meeting definitely did NOT go like that. I don't think ML l**ked his lips ever in the novel (otherwise I would've cringed to death & wouldn't be here translating the novel).

• • MC is adorable but hopelessly clueless. She's said to be academically smart but I'd say that she's the opposite of streets smart. Like, she doesn't even know how to text. Some people could find that unbelievable but that relates to my next point.

• • The characters are pretty cliche. ML is the classic perfect dude but I don't think he's overly OP. He's just smart and good-looking (which isn't exactly novel in most novels *badum tss*. I mean, most romance MLs have, at the very least, these qualities). MC is also pretty naive but it moves the plot along and I personally didn't find it annoying.

• • There isn't really any major problem or antagonists or drama. It's just a story of how MC and ML gets together.

• • I thought that the ending was so-so but slightly rushed. I liked the majority of the novel though, so I wasn't too put-off by an alright ending.

• • EDIT: I originally said I didn't like the roommates but I was mixing it up with a different novel. I liked the dormmates and their extras.

Okay, the things that seem bad really outweigh the good but read my rebuttals! This was seriously a super sweet read, I couldn't help smiling and giggling when I read this novel and I felt like I should share this adorableness (how many times have I said cute/adorable? I really mean it though). I hope you enjoy!

So far, I really like this novel! It has a cute, sweet kind of feeling to it. Neither the ML or FL act unreasonably. The FL isn't dumb and has an endearing personality. Nothing to dislike!

It's a bit... cheesy. I mean, it's good and it isn't really like a cringey story in a sense of the plot being cringy, I just cringed bc it's too much dog food! It starts off really well and pretty interesting but in the last quarter of the novel was underwhelming, it was pretty much just dog food, PDA, a strong feeling of dependance on each other, and some angst. So if that's what you want then go on and read it.

It's not a bad novel but it wasn't the right novel for me. The FL is just wayyy too cute but the MTL doesn't fully show her cuteness. She's cute and seems a bit innocent but she isn't dumb. Although she gets shy, she's after all a normal +18 year old, her cuteness isn't cringey nor abnormal. She isn't really gullible, she's just adorable! She's the kind of person that makes someone go soft, she can also be proactive. The ML is just a gao fu shai, but the way he goes soft for the FL is so adorable, I love when he goes soft for her and curses. I guess it's obvious from the title, but she really is the highlight of the novel, I love cute girls and she is indeed very cute.

In this story the relevant characters were pretty much only the FL and ML and other people only made occasional appearances, there's family and roommates/friends but they aren't particularly memorable (although they do get their moment in the extras, only their family was a biiit more relevant, but after all they are still boarding students so not by much). There are no villains or anything, their problems are just realistic life/family issues, not that it is all smooth sailing, but it's just life. It's just a story about them dating, and so on, so imo it eventually got a lil bit boring, the most exciting parts for me were when he was chasing her and when they started dating, they were sooo cute! Then it was just "let's kiss~~~" some scenes were amusing but idk lol. At least MTLing a bunch scenes of kisses isn't that appealing to me, but it'd probably be cuter if it were the real translation.

So basically, the best part was when he chased her and the start of the relationship, then it was just a bit boring BUT the extras made up for it, they were a bit spicy heh. Although it pretty much uses the same pattern as Getting Outsmarted By The CEO (but this one has spicier extras). It's the same author so of course it is similar, although less funnier since this one isn't a comedy, and this one's side characters have less presence probably because this isn't slice of life and other people aren't that relevant to their romance. This one is cornier and just focused on dog food. The relationship progress is also more realistic.

I... cry easily so of course I cried in some chapters, it's a cute story with some scenes that will naturally make you cry, but I cried way less than when I read GOBTC. Plus seeing her in her last years of college stressed me because I'm also a senior yet I'm here wasting my time, this can low-key pressure you into studying. But tbh I found their PDA a bit awkward, a lot of the scenes were in public and I just felt a bit... embarrassed? I've been fine with PDA in other novels but for some reason I found these a bit embarrassing. And the way they called each other kept making me cringe

. It's not a bad cringey childish story, it's just that they are too... lovey dovey, they are like those couples you might see in public living in their own two person world. Or like when you see your family/friend's messages with their partner being all lovey dovey. For a single dog like me... I just felt embarrassed. But if you really like being fed dog food, no matter how cheesy they are being, then you will enjoy this.

The side character's extras are great as stand alone stories. I didn't read the last one but it's probably good, I'm just not interested in office love. Its protagonists barely had presence in the actual story so I wouldn't consider this a spoiler, it's probably just the author's excuse to write a short love story. Ah but I would've liked a grandpa x grandma extra. <<less

So far, it’s a simple fluffy read. Lmao Lu Yuan Yuan is indeed cute. I forgot the main guy name already but lol he’s so so compared to Lu Yuan Yuan. The translator doesn’t have a set upload schedule so sometimes I have to stockpile. Of course I’m not picking on this at all. This is a light hearted novel that follows the day to day life of the ML and FL in their universities days together as he chases her and how they both fall in love. This is a nice read if you just want something light to read with no drama whatsoever. The interaction between both leads are cute and not boring to read. I will recommend this novel.

This is so cute, so fluffy, and just so nice! You won't get frustrated with anything because ML is very assertive when it comes to making opportunities for flirting. There's no real conflict and nothing gets dragged out in the story. Our FL is very adorable and also has her moments of being straightforward. They just match each other perfectly. It's so fun to read how they are both so giddy and happy whenever they have any romantic progress.

After reading novels with heavy drama, this one is like a oasis. It's so cute it's curing my depressing emotions.

I read the raws and I fell in love with this story. The translations are great! The fluff is so good and Lu Yuayuan is such a cutie 💓 I do understand why Su Lin fell hard for her😂 Su Lin is one of the best hubby material in Chinese novels (I've read so far) My standards for men went like this 📈📈📈📈 and is Su Lin's fault hahaha. A cute and fluffy campus love story~ Man, I've been craving for some adorable and pure FL that I must protect and this just tickles the right spot. Add to the fact that the ML is basically the novel and 'perfect' version of my boyfriend, it was just such a fantastic journey for me when I read this.

FL is just the squishy little rabbit kind of cute. Like me, she has big, watery eyes, soft, pouty lips, and smooth, milky skin. Also, FL is quite short (well, I'm not) so... more>> she explodes whenever her height and her short legs are mentioned lol. Her voice is also really adorable that it made ML fall for her at the first encounter. She has a very pure and naive mind and treats people with gentleness. When her parents separated, her dad was left devastated and depressed so he never took care of FL during her childhood until she went to university. Because of this, she had to learn to stand up on her own feet and also feared the idea of love. She was taken in by her cute, loving grandparents when she went to university and planned to be a good, proper student and earn her own money. That was until she met ML and well, was slowly pulled by ML into falling for him. She was very confused at first as it was her first time to really love someone and to be loved by someone so dearly but later grew certain to be willing to have ML as her life partner.

ML is well, the perfect kind of guy. He is smart yet hardworking, extremely handsome, very cunning, and a huge fool in love. He used to disdain his male friends talking about falling in love with cute loli-type girls until he slapped himself in the face when he met FL. He is such a huge simp lol. He chased after FL very subtly while maximizing his charms and following FL's pace. He really, really likes it when people support and praise their relationship and he also blocks people who insult FL and underestimate their love lol. A lot of his actions during his simping/chasing FL reminded me so much of my long-time boyfriend lol. Even the times when ML and FL got together, he and my boo's thinking are very similar.

The other side couples (Wang Shizi x Qin Fang, Lin Qian x Su Shi, ML's parents (Su Yan x Su Yu), and FL's grandparents) were also really adorable. I really like how all of them didn't have much drama and their love stories are just pure fluff and warmth. Definitely recommended 10/10~ <<less

I didn't give this novel a 5 mainly because there's not that much to it. It is a decent novel, but there is really nothing that is enticing enough to be wowed. I think the pacing is not bad right now. There are 76 chapters, so having the FL slowly starting to feel something around chapter 23 (maybe give and take 1 or 2 chapters) seems about right.

This is one of the most cutest story I have ever read. Started reading this way back in senior highschool. It resonates with me in a way that I was hoping I could have the same sweet teen-like kind of love story.

The way they are smitten to each other is just so cute. It's even funny how Su Lin eat his own words in the earlier chapter when he falls for our FL. It's just so cute. Lu Yuanyuan deserve this love🥺 though I'm not settle with her Mom. How could she😭 Lu Yuanyuan is so precious. She's so naive at some point but I think that's her cutest part. Also, despite being gullible at some point she did how to take and not take it when being taken advantage.

Anyways, I hope I could've have read more like their wedding, their career and their child . I wasn't actually expecting that kind of ending cause most of the time, college romance type of story I read does not stop in their college life. It even extend to their work and career too.

If you’re looking for a fluffy love story with no complications whatsoever, a rather smooth-sailing romance with minimal family baggage, this is the novel for you. Read it as I needed some sweetness in my life and it delivers exactly that.

ML is a cold faced handsome man who dotes on the FL. That’s it, that’s his whole personality in the novel lol.

FL on the other hand is a soft-spoken, petite cutie who wins the ML’s heart with her sheer cuteness. Their interactions are adorable and they’re just a sweet couple.
