It seems like Cyril is still not interested in her even after he comes back from the war. This whole time, he has only ever viewed her as a childhood friend. I actually like that it starts off with that because I want to see how he falls for Adrienne!

the story is confusing and conversations are boring. The trope of having x person saying oh they're so good couldn't have been used in a more blatant way the FL is odd the ML feels boring and cliche. Oh he got hot after war gimmick is used she's as beautiful as goddess blah blah blah no unique or at least intriguing descriptions of characters or thoughts. Overall it's pretty standard if you like this genre you'll enjoy this if you don't like this genre well you wont

Average. Yep, it is too average for me. I read a lot of korean novels by now and tbh this is not bad but unfortunately not that impressive either to the point of you losing interest on it some time. Characters and storyline isn't properly executed so most of the time it's confusing. IDK but maybe it's because of the translation?? (I'm not ditching the translator, just thinking some other possibilities).

Up to this point, nothing much has happened. Most of the content so far cover their youth together, so I'm waiting to see how their relationship will develop after Cyril comes back from war. Giving 3 stars because I feel like 10-something chapters is just too much to cover their childhood and it seems like the story is being dragged. Might give 4 stars later.
