Nara Lee, an ambitious and diligent 35 year old, has finally achieved her dream: buying a rooftop apartment! Little did she know she wouldn’t have time to enjoy it, as she ends up reincarnated as the 8-year-old Sharon Atrina, a side character in her favorite webnovel, “The Queen’s Extravagant Outing.” As Sharon, a wealthy and beautiful noblewoman, she has everything she could possibly want, but she’s destined to die a pitiful death at the age of 20 after being betrayed by her best friend, Carol — the villainess!

Rather than waiting for death, she takes it upon herself to raise Carol — whose terrible personality resulted from bad parenting — into a better person, and save both of their lives to change their future!

Well I know that Julien is ML but imagine what if Julien (crown prince) and Carol (villainess) marries and someday Sharon (MC) came to visit them. Since Julien is ML, she has to great him first.

Carol:"Why the f**k she has to great you first she could have comes to see me instead."

Julien:" Because I'm the Emperor."

... more>> Lmao they would be fighting everyday to see who is more precious to MC.

And thus the rumor circulate in the kingdom that to gain Emperor or Empress trust you have to flatter neither the Emperor nor the Empress but MC herself. <<less

Had to write a review so people will not miss this gem. This story is probably one of the most sensible "reincarnate as a noble child" stories I have read. It actually makes sense and has characters with depth, it does not tell you the story but shows it. So far this book has just been fantastic, a really well thought out and nuanced take on the otome game type genre.

The best bit is the kids are so far lovely and cute, there is enough secrets and foreshadowing to keep... more>> you interested. This novel really does have it all. Give it a read as soon as you can.

Not only that but the translator is great - regular updates and clear seemless translation. I really recommend you support this series! <<less

This is kind of amazing.

So, we have our main character, who was a poor, 35 year old middle school/high school teacher who gets reborn into a book as the rich, 8 year old, cannon fodder orphan, "Sharon". Sharon decides to use her adult outlook and teacher skills to lead the future villain, her young cousin "Carol", into becoming a better person the male lead, "Julien", will actually like, so he won't fall for the OG FL and Carol won't go full darkside, resulting in everyone's deaths.

While normally we'd have to... more>> read about perfectly angelic MC gently guiding her young charges who worship the ground she walks on, we are instead treated to the absolute, slovenly delight that is Sharon. Sure, Sharon is patient and kind and a good teacher and all that jazz, but she's also lazier than a cat, swears a crap ton, gets petty and irritated with the children, and pretty much everyone thinks she's weird, since she's a middle aged woman in a child's body and acts like it. She has the normal limitations of a child, instead of undertaking country-revolutionizing feats.

But best of all are Carol, the OG villain, and Crown Prince Julien, the OG Male Lead, whom Sharon tries to guide together, but who have minds and plans of their own. When Sharon tries to manipulate them, they manipulate her right back. They love her, but definitely notice she's weird. The pair understand what it means to be an aristocrat at the top of a dog-eat-dog society, unlike former working class Sharon, and aren't afraid to get their hands dirty (so long as Sharon doesn't see!) and they totally b*** at each other like siblings.

The group are the best of friends, yet all three bicker like the children they are, which is so fun to read, and so different from stories that expect child characters to be perfect and adorable all the time. It's like the author actually knows how children are in real life! <<less

I really enjoy and I look forward for the updates for this novel. The characters have depth, and the MC feels real. She has her moment when she acts her mental age and when she acts her body age. The kids act like kids would act. And the parents frustrate me so much because of the trauma they generate to their sons and daughters. The translation seems good, can't really testify for that as I have no knowledge of the original language, but it's edited and it shows, which makes... more>> reading easy and fluid. <<less

This novel seems promising. And MC, Sharon actually seems mature unlike some other novels where the reincarnators are over 20 but they don't act like it. And the villainess, Carol who is uncared for and neglected and turns out to become, of course, a villainess. This is actually very logical. But aside from that Carol is so cute. Can't say much since it's only the fifth chapter but it's been pretty good.

Honestly it bothers me that she's 35 (mentally) and the ML is like 16, thats pedophilia too y'know. She's a teacher but sometimes it's just like a 13yo girl? It's kinda like seriously? Ain't you 35?

Her feelings are kinda messy and it's weird some times too as she's 8 and elder people just take what she says seriously.

(Besides I believe Julien and Carol would be a much cuter couple, they're funny and cute together.)

I don't like the story taking the way of a much older 'reincarnator' in a... more>> teenage set.

My stars all belong to Carol and the laughs she took from me, go kid you're the cutest ever sz :3 <<less

I understand why the previous translator didn't want to have anything to do with this anymore. After spending 40 chapters building a super wholesome a filial relationship, now the author pulls out this romance out of nowhere, and you know, the whole thing of being sexually attracted to the 14 y.o. Imagine if the protagonist was a man and the love interest a young girl (they're physically the same age, yes, but it's a bit weird still, sus, even). A bit of a bummer but it was kinda obvious, especially... more>> looking at the cover. It's also what you'd expect out of this very specific subgenre, anyway.

Even so, I still enjoyed most of it and would definitely recommend it. <<less

Really! This novel is really good! Nice flow, fun characters, actually well layed-out plotline, with foreshadowing and secrets. Read 18 chapters in one go and the story really grew on me more and more.

MC is a goodhearted character. Her golden finger is someone else and (in my opinion) is OP but in a fun way and doesn't break the plot. Her transmigration isn't just a trope to pull you in, but actually stays relevant to her character. Villainess is actually a propper child. She has fun character developement. ML is... more>> adorable and sensible. He is also a propper child.

No gross adults, in child bodies, falling for children. Children showing childish favoritism like normal 8 year olds.

Really enjoying this one. <<less

i absolutely love this novel. I especially like childcare, and I learnt a lot from this book (*´꒳`*) MC taught kids in her past life so she knows what she's doing lol

i do kinda wish the crown prince wasn't the ML (cause she's like 35 bruh) but so far she has no feelings towards him so.. The ML might be someone else? Ah who am I kidding, the crown prince is right on the cover (´°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥ω°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥`)

this story is really good! I don't know how to write a review since this is my first time writing one, but it's worth a read.

it isn't your typical "villainess-isekai" plot since she's the villainess' friend, but she doesn't try to avoid her like most MCs do. She actually nurtures the villainess and the ML like a mom (?) lol.

the characters are cute and they actually have depth.
Spoiler

but the ML's mom just ruins the whole story since she's so evil : (

the translation is really good also!! 10/10 for me :)

I truly hope that some group will pick this novel up again!

to a certain extent.

I really liked it so far! Even though our MC started out as using her knowledge to stay alive and being calculative I don‘t think that she is cold hearted - I mean who‘d not try to save their lives if they could?!
I like how the story flows and the writing style. The characters are in a way unique compared to other isekai stories so it’s refreshing. I read a comment that the original translator was over their dynamics and I somewhat get it but then again not.

Our MC was originally an adult before getting swapped for an eight year old girl from her favourite fantasy novel. She tries her best to live a great live even though the original storyline brings suffering to all the main characters. After a while she develops feelings for the ML and is conflicted not only because she (wrongly) thinks that her bf, the original FL, likes him but also because she cannot forget that she has the mind of an adult.
This trope (getting swapped for a child) is nothing new but it brings the question of whether she is and adult in a child’s body or a child- because if she sees herself as a adult it would be a complete no go to even just think about growing feels for the ML (who she also raised and was like a mother figure for to a certain extend).
In itself it is reasonable that she reprimands herself when realising her feelings for the ML. But I think that it just is faulty to not allow herself to be that child, regardless of having the memory of her previous life.. Otherwise she’d be self-sabotaging and not completely accepting it as her new life and world.

Different from a typical isekai novel. Many elements are uniquely realistic. The children are very cute (Carol is like an energetic puppy)

I'm in love with this story. The fuffyness and some mysterious plot keeping me awake to read this untill 3 am lol. Although there is some of MC action and the logic of people around her which I cant understand because it doesn't make sense to me. But again, the think like transmigration/reincarnation is indeed make no sense ahahaha so it doesn't bother me much.

I like how the author potrait the whole situation for our puppies, Carol and Julien. Actually I even shed tears when,

Sharon and Carol found out about Julien whom being abused by the Empress. The way they cried for him is just... too pure. Whenever Carol cry, I just can't stand it. Sharon feeling so helpless because she know about that but can't do anything to prevent also break my heart.

It's been a while since I read this kind of story and I love it. I kind of agree with the other about MC that dosen't act like her age sometimes. I even forget she is in her 35 ahaha shame on me. Ah, and the humor in this story suit my taste very much ahahaha. I can't help but to feel like I'm the one who is raising the children too, along wih Sharon lol.

And the translation is good to!! Thank you Thursday-nim!!!

Give this story a try! <<less

I rarely write reviews but this one would be an exemption. I love how oblivious our MC is and the somewhat character development of Carol and Julian. All three of them are so adorable and the story is so good. I am not someone who is good with words but I genuinely like this one. Ty translators :D
