After finished reading this novel, I think it is just a very mid novel. Like The author has mentioned, this novel really feels like a adult fairytale in a way. To me, I'm not sure whether it is the translation quality, but I feel like the writing in this novel feels a bit elementary and lacking depth. This novel is in first person perspective which I am not really a fan of. The romance here is very plain but it can be very sweet but also in another way very... more>> unrealistic. It almost feels like a romance fantasy in a way, I'm not sure whether that is because of my logical brain acting up. Like I just can't imagine this scenario ever happen but then I can say the same for most modern novel that I have read. I think because of the first person perspective the novel is set in, I don't feel like I've gained that much of an understanding forwards the leads in this novel. This novel feels very basic and flat nothing intriguing for me. The relationship is so smooth and I'm not sure whether that's good or bad.

However I would say my favourite part in this novel like other reviews have said, is definitely the song that is mentioned throughout each chapter. It feels pretty interesting to listen to the music that the character in the novel is also listening to. I also think the way that they use music as a communication very cute as well. Overall I would not recommend this novel unless you just want to have a break and you have some time.

4.5 for me....

Firstly, I want to thank the author because I fell in love with the song " Walking towards me " used in this novel... I am a non chinese reader so I usually don't listen to their music but this song is just right for me, slow, sensual but also upbeat... If anyone reads my review, I strongly recommend this song sung by 9m88...

As for the story, I just fell in love with the ml... His timing, his wittiness, his devotedness.... ugh.... just chef's kiss...

I think the FL... more>> is right in being cautious as they have known each other for only a week... But I think she also fell because their love was like a fire engulfing them both, just she is afraid to admit it.... I also liked how it was the FL taking the approach after their cold war, which I think is fair for ml... Just love them...

I mean, MC accidentally connected to ML's bluetooth and ML generously accepted the connection. After they meet each other, coincidentally, both MC and ML were pretty and handsome (and single of course) so they hit it off almost immediately).

If it's in real life, we'll be thinking whether the other party was a scammer or psychopath in disguise so yeah, that's why I mentioned that this story was a bit too good to be true. But let's not ruin the story with this realistic idea.

What made me deducted 1 star from my review wasn't because of the story but rather because of MC.

She acted like a sc*m. She took initiative to kiss ML and even had s*x with him but she refused to date him with the reason they only knew each other for only 10 days. I mean, what? You already had s*x and you still made a fuss about that trivial thing?

Novels like these are quite rare, short but well done, where the plot feels completed. It's a novel most about FL's perspective and her relationship with the ML. Where I know that this kind of sugarish relationship in modern era and their first meeting is quite unrealistic, I did enjoy their butterflies moment and musics.

In my opinion, objectively this novel deserves 4 stars, but I have a subjective ramble which disturbed me while reading it so 3. It is not needed to be read, maybe after completing the novel:

A subjective matter about s*xual molarity:

After FL and ML's *** interc**rse with no details. I felt something was not right, but didn't know what. Then later on, I found out what was wrong. The matter about interc**rse before marriage as lovers. This world's novel is made in modern era and with adults, where many people have started to consent to this kind of behavior, even in our real world, and FL and ML have consented to this as well, by the author. And it's bad, because it can create problems in a relationship, for example: The ex-boyfriend or ex-girlfriend arriving to the current second boyfriend or second girlfriend, telling that he or she did that.. With his or her ex. Or other examples:

Lust/Betrayal--->Homicide<---Jealousy /Pregnancy/Diseases like STDs or STIs.

So, I'll take up the abstinence matter, more seriously.

Nice easy read, there was nothing dramatic or over-the-top scenes. I do feel like it's too realistically modern -- I find that is not really what I want in fictional stories I read. I was expecting something that is more romanticized and somehow I didn't get that feel with this story.

Short but very fresh and beautiful and lingering. I was smiling and giggling like an old aunt the whole time, I could even feel my face burning.

No filler/boring chapters and great song recommendations too. I read while listening to the songs and it was *chef's kiss* maximum enjoyment.

Reminded me of a few similar sweet memories although mine was online dating and unfortunately didn't work out cause I wasn't brave enough as Qi Miao.

Great and enjoyable read. I don't know until when I want to read but ugh, I'm still craving... more>> for more. Will definitely reread when I want watermelon sugar high ☺️ <<less

The cutest romance. Such a lovable and dreamy ML. Definitely fell for ML during this read.

MC is also nice, she's cautious in a relationship so it's nice to see how ML navigates around it. The teasing between them is *chef kiss*

Such a fun read. Makes me want to fall in love hhhhh. A must read

Nice, fluffy, a nice love story of how 2 individuals met.

You may have probably thought of that when you opened BT in piblic as you are about to connect or send something and you see all devices that showing up within your vicinity, that " what if someone connected, or I connected to someone"

Well, a playful story, too short, just sharing how they met and how they became together.

The ending is abrupt, I would have loved more chapters..

You can say that, this story consist of only two characters.

The first 2 chapters really made me roll my eyes and deem this novel as childish. I did find their interactions cute and flirty, but also very awkward. Overall, it wasn't a bad story, but I decided not to read novels from this author anymore (this is the 2nd book of hers I read and even more childish than the previous one)

tbh, this book is good to the point it is unreal lol. Or maybe this is how the adult works on their relationship? Anyway, FL is so straightforward for what she wants. It's like she's in control for the physical aspect of relationship. HOWEVER, might be because they only knew each other for several days, tho it is acceptable to have done that, it is hard for her to regard their relationship as a couple. I understand where this is coming from, I mean, let's be real, we're adult and... more>> have needs. So, it's easy to have physical relationship, but if we want to go deeper than that, it needs adequate time

This book is unique bc it is a very modern day romance focused purely on the romance of the two. You definitely tell the author is a fan of romantic movies... This is also interesting bc the biggest conflict comes from the fact the MC is a f*ckgirl. Words I didn't think I'd say. I'm slightly exaggerating but considering the circumstances of when it happened, am I that wrong? Lol. It's a unique perspective. I can't particularly relate to her but you can give it a shot. I do think it was too long even as a short story. <<less

A sweet yet somewhat bittersweet short story. It was very realistic yet idealistic at the same time--I could see it happening in real life, but the chances would be similar to that of winning a lottery. And yet, the emotions were very real. I can understand the pain that the ML felt in their separation, but I can also understand why the MC was hesitant to go all in like that. It was only like one week after all. Such a beautiful and charming love relationship between Lu Cheng Ze and Qi Miao.

Fate brought them together through various English & Chinese songs on his Playlist that they listen to in the subway.

It's love at first sight for both Lu Cheng Ze and Qi Miao. Their love towards each other is very genuine and natural. They're an adorable couple and they complement each other.

Funny thing for me is that Lu Cheng Ze is the 1 who cares more about their love & relationship than Qi Miao ~ usually, women are... more>> the ones who care more about love, relationships & marriage.

What I love about reading this novel is that it only portrays their daily relationship and love towards each other. No rush to marriage, no wedding, no children, no families. It's just solely about Lu Cheng Ze and Qi Miao.
Props to the Author for making it so lovely and captivating.

Will definitely read it again in the very near future. <<less

Sooo sweet! While reading this I can't help but giggling, blushing and wishing for my own zeze.

Such a cute happy coincidence that may or may not happen in real life yet the story somehow so light and relatable with real life.

It's a good novel and with a modern vibe. A story of two mature people, and how they met and get along through music. It's sweet and fresh. I enjoyed reading and of course it's has a good list of songs that I liked and listened.
