Hi, I am the translator (for chapter 1-13) of this novel. I'm not the best at reviewing. Please bear with me. This novel is one of the most memorable and favourite novels I have read. The style of writing for this novel is descriptive, as if it was an essay. It's a breather compared to the other modern novel (with the slangs etc.)

This novel is about the female lead ('the fl') transmigrating/time-travelled to 10 years ago. As the present timeline of the novel was set in 2015, the FL... more>> had transmigrated into the year 2005 when she was just 22 years old. The FL met the young male lead ('ml') and started living together with the ML and looking after him. They helped each other during the hard times they have faced, and the young ML slowly falls in love with the fl.

As for the romance in this novel, like what it has been stated in the author's notes (In the summary shown in Foxaholic), the romance would only begin ten years later.

As mentioned earlier, the young ML falls in love with the fl. Their relationship before the FL returns to 2015 was pure, cute and innocent. When the FL returns to 2015, the ml's fierce pursuit begins. For the fl, she didn't feel that they were apart for a long time. She has only started to see him as a man, or mainly feel, "Ah, the young boy I have looked after has grown up." While on the other hand, for the male lead, it has been eight years since she disappeared. (The reason behind the name) The feelings of love just intensified throughout the years she was gone. In one of the chapters, it described that he was at a loss and felt miserable when she was gone (similar to Chapter 1). Thus, when the FL returns to 2015 (at around Chapter 25), the ML fiercely pursues her and tries to change his image of him from 'a young and innocent boy that needs to be looked after' to 'a man'. I enjoyed reading how he persistently professes his love for her, and how his feelings did not change throughout the years. I admire that passion. The FL slowly falls in love with the adult ml, or maybe for how attractive and charming he becomes.

Please note that the male lead is actually older than the female lead. Haha so sadly it isn't an older sister and younger brother romance.

In conclusion, I would suggest reading this novel if you are looking for a sweet and simple love or a novel where the FL looks after the young ml. I wouldn't recommend reading this novel if you are looking for a smart FL that has a golden finger.

It’s cute!

The mediocre ratings are somewhat deceptive but the story is pretty cute.

The story starts with the FL randomly traveling to the past (2005) in her 22 year old body for no reason. Left without an ID card or a means to make income she ends up renting a room at the house of our middle-school aged ML. Because the ML has a pitiful upbringing and he lives without an adult guardian, the FL decides to treat him like a good older sister and raise him. The ML is prickly... more>> at first but he soon grows attached to her and inadvertently she becomes his first love (though she has no clue or even sees him in that way in 2005).

One of my favourite things about this story is that the FL is a genuinely nice person. She doesn’t have a system giving her tasks or any reason to be nice to the sullen kid ML, she just treats him well because she thinks it’s sad that he has such a hard life. However, while she’s nice, she’s not s*upid and later when people try to mess with her she’ll stand her ground. Furthermore, even when the black belly ML does morally questionable things, she’ll always take his side. Not everyone will agree with this approach of hers but I think it’s nice that she doesn’t try to force her views on the ML or abandon him out of some sense of moral superiority.

The ML has some darkness in him but at the end of the day, he only retaliates when provoked and besides his revenge on his scum dad, most of his revenge acts (there were only 3) aren’t too bad. Compared to some of the psycho yandere MLs in other stories, he’s basically a harmless puppy. He really loves the FL but he never really tries to force her to do anything beyond her comfort zone and I really appreciate that about him.

Overall, a short, cute, and inoffensive read! <<less

The novel is a such a nice read but I found it a bit short. Perhaps I wanted to read more about FL's time when the male lead was still young. I really enjoyed reading about their time together. And I would have liked to also read more about ML pursuing her when they were older.

Still, I enjoyed it~ I liked the FL's personality as she is caring and kind but strong and reliable when she needs to be. However, I didn't like how she handled some situations like with... more>>

As for the ML, despite being younger during the time travel, you'd get why he fell for the FL. Since it was only Yu Zhi Le who genuinely cared for him at that time. And my heart really hurt reading about how miserable he was when she left.

Also, I find that this novel focused a lot on rumors. The 2 main characters both had their fair share of "scandals" so there's a bit of drama. Thankfully, it didn't drag on which I appreciate. <<less

This webnovel is great. There's an interesting premise that serves as a hook to draw you in, and from there she moves in, and soon transmigrates into the past. This gives time for development. She's actually decently kind and takes care of the ML. By here you're continuing on because the story is cute (though not entirely; the story can deal with dark stuff sometimes). The female lead looks into things to improve the child ML's situation, so he doesn't miraculously get wealthy/rich like the other MLs in Chinese novels... more>> - there's actually a journey.

I haven't completed it, and only caught up to the latest translated chapters since the translator is still working. Regardless, it's at least rather great so far! <<less

It's a very fluffy novel. There's not much of twists or turns or anything like that. Good for reading after you've finished some heavy hearted novel.

At the beginning it was quite mysterious and it seemed like there was something more to her family who had yet to appear but at the end it turned out to be normal. Maybe I misunderstood because of the MTL idk lol

I dont know why this story got low rating but, actually this is a light and worth to read. The MC is not a s*upid neither a goody two shoes type. She stays with her man no matter what. Too bad it's kinda short only 50ish chapters. Mtl is doable but not recommended.

Freaking cute as heck!

The summary interested me and so I decided to MTL

I fully enjoyed the ride and was fairly easy to read.

FL wasn't wishy washy and the sacrifices along with the hard work paid off. ML is *chef's kiss he needed love and he got it. (Stayed true and loyal to the FL).
