4/5 for the story

If you enjoy showbiz novels, I'd recommend this book, especially because the length isn't too long.

In regards to the MC (Zhou Chenxi) and ML (Lu Ji), they went from friends to lovers but arguably it could've been "love at first sight" for the ML, because the MC caught his eye from the first time he saw met him. There is chemistry between them and I love how pampering the ML is towards the MC. I also really like the MC's... more>> older brother and how much he spoils the MC. I wish we had more interactions between the MC & his bro but it also makes sense we didn't since they are both working adults in society.

One thing I really liked about this novel is the rebirth aspect.

The MC is reborn but the ML is also reborn (but later revealed to be a transmigrator) and they also reveal this to each other. I like that this is different from other rebirth novels because usually either only the MC/ML is reborn and this is only found out by the other party near the end/doesn't really serve as part of the plot. However, in this story, the MC&ML work tgtr to try and prevent their previous lives situations from happening again.

The 1 star missing from this novel is only because I didn't find anything exceptional that made this novel memorable/would want to re-read it. But, I still enjoyed the story and it delivered the sweet and fluffy storyline that I wanted.

3.5/5 for the translation

The translation for the majority of the novel was pretty good (grammar-wise) but oftentimes, the pronouns of some characters were mixed up (e.g: a male character being referred to as she). Additionally, the MC's name was sometimes inconsistently translated and some names were just wrong in general, for example, the MC's brother (Zhou Mingxuan to Chen Mingxuan) and the ML (Lu Ji to Lu Jin). Also, some paragraphs were repeated so I'd suddenly be re-reading the same last 3-4 paragraphs which was pretty distracting. Overall, I think the translation would've been perfect if there was some extra editing done. However, I do know that translating is a time-consuming task and the translators probably already put a lot of effort into completing this for us readers so I am still grateful that I was able to read this novel from them. <<less

I don't know how to write reviews properly, and I don't speak English well, so I'll keep it short. This story captured me and I truly love it. MC and ML are very cute and fluffy. This story will go down as one of my favorites.

I sometimes MTL'd some novel but I'm not used to it so I didn't felt the novel that much.

But I can say that I like this one. MC and ML is so sweet! The story is funny and the twist is within expectation.

I wish I can read it with proper translation.

Cool, cute and seemingly simple story, but with light mysteries in the background.

I really liked the MC and even more ML and his teachings. The MC's brother is one of my favorites, I wouldn't complain about a story centered on him.
My head was in a knot with the mysteries and I don't even know if I got it right yet, but it was a good read with funny and cute moments.

I really liked the first 50 chapters but like the last 20 or 30 chapters were boring. This was slice of life so of course it’s expected to be slow, but there was no conflicts ever. Anything that could’ve been a conflicted was solved nearly the second it was brought up.

I like the translation though.

Cute story. Doesn't have much drama or conflict. An easy book if a bit dull at times, the last chapters including the extras felt choppy almost summarizing rather than actual action. The relationship between the couple was adorable and doting. The MCs relationship with his family was nice. Though not the usual doting parents but the doting parentified big brother taking over for the parents most of the time hehehe. I liked him.

Translation was good readable if a few gender pronouns mistakes and double paragraphs of same info but I... more>> assume its edited MTL that was proof read.

the extras felt clunky because they went to the ML's OG world but then the next chapter was the family visit after the wedding. I get they were trying to set up the ML'S last business in the OG world was to introduce his beloved to his family but it was abruptly how it went from the main couple sleeping next to each other then boom MC family visit. But honestly ML didnt seem to care much about it I guess it was more for the MC.

the only part I didn't like was the twist near the end. It was better to think they were reborn rather than a weird mix of rebirth and transmigrator

I originally thought it was:

1st life was OG novel with LXH being the protag then 2nd life was ML gaining awareness and trying to change fate by himself against LXH but ultimately failing because the system was in LXH's favor. 3rd run through was MC gaining awareness of this being a book and trying to avoid his bad end. Unaware till midway that ML also has gone through rebirth (twice) and it being too much of an obstacle for LXH to overcome. Ultimately getting a HEA.

That was not the case. MC did gain awareness of his world being a book world but ML was transmigrator (typical read book with similar name as him hut ultimately failed to change the ending of the book) who lost his memories after being reborn since he had no real attachment to his OG life and the first book run through. They started to come back the longer they were together but not confirmed till the end chapters.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 66%.

2/5; Mediocre and dull story. The author really tries to flesh out characters and create depth/commentary on the rebirth/transmigration genre, but unfortunately it falls flat because it feels more slice-of-life. Also the colorism in chapter 51/52 feel like it came out of nowhere and honestly was so off-putting that I decided to not finish the book.

There's not really much to say about this story. It's a cookie cutter transmigration story. Lighthearted and funny. The author has tried to address the transmigration part properly, and that's one of the good things.

I'm giving it 4 stars because of the translation. It's not bad, but it's unedited mtl. The names get weird later on. It's difficult to understand who's saying what. The tl didn't even bother to read the translated text because there's stuff like "The translation in english is as follows" written in between the chapters. The... more>> ML's name is sometimes Lu Ji and sometimes Luo Ji or even Lujin. This tends to happen in MTLs which are unedited.

The good news is that since this story is fairly simple and straightforward, unedited mtl doesn't make it painful. That's also the reason I didn't reduce the rating too much.

Plotwise, it's pretty cliche, but I came to read cliche and it was delivered. I personally like the fact that the ML doesn't do stuff that is illegal to get his revenge. Nothing in the story is surprising tbh, especially if you've read at least 1 transmigration story.

Read it to pass time, it's not great but it works. Also, don't take this story seriously. <<less

Villain is aight, like, he didn't do anything big. Most of the novel is just about how MC goes from salted fish to top actor, not a lot of drama, very fluffy.

Author glossed over anything that was excessively toxic or s*upid, so it was a pleasant read.

Translation was okay, quality varied a lot, some mixed up pronouns here and there. And there was one chapter where it didn't seem edited at all (MC and ML's names were changed and completely different.) <<less

A fun reading! Have internet Twist. And have a bit complicated plot about how the world works with this second chances things going on.

Lovable MC. And thank God also Lovable ML!

Don't be let down with the explanation of the ML In the beginning. Things would be explained later on. Seriously give ML chances with the flow of the story! 👏 Also Lovable MC's older brother. The brother starting the new road of Slight Bro Con and absolutely Supportive one!

I'm so glad the author explained about the Transmigration things. In a way the plot was so much better than I could ever hope or feared.

It's a funny and fluffy story. Simple and no brainer, a bit s*upid and can lower your IQ a little but not by much. It's bearable. I gave 5 stars because I don't really have any complain about the novel. It's just what it is, the story doesn't try to be anything else. It's straightforward and lighthearted. So you just can't put any expectation on it.

MC is kinda dumb but he's cute. ML is typical overbearing CEO but he's nice and just trying his best to survive. OG protagonist is... more>> a pretentious and arrogant green tea b*tch, nothing new. I didn't have high expectation coming into this, because it was so short.

But it exceeded my expectation. I love the characters and MC's brother. They are both really meant to be together.

I feel bad about ML's past but I am glad that he met MC this time around and have a great future.

... more>> I love MC's personality and how he's happy go type even when things were against him, I find it quite fun.

I also love the fans in this novel, normally I don't like with their snarky comments but the ones here all quite sweet and supportive, also have good brains on their heads. Not blinded easily by rumors.

Overall this was good read that finished in 2 days. I love them both, there was good fluffy, sweet interactions between the 2, the subplot was interesting and didn't need to go over details that wasn't needed. So I recommend people to read this <<less

Not bad. It's an ultra fluff story with slow burn romance and stops at a few kissing scenes.

Not a story I would read again, but it's perfect after a heavy or bad end novel.

The initial concept of the story and it's background works like world consciousness and rebirth is good but a pity that there is not much happening in this area. The whole rebirth explanation was explained in 1 chapter in a simple and hole filled way.

If the author put a little more struggle between the protagonist and MC... more>> or at least and a bit more romance not fluff then I could raise the evaluation up to 5 stars. <<less

Fluff galore. Plot is ok, writing is good, pacing is good, characterization is bland but also colorful (in a sense that it's your usual MC/ML chara but they're still very cute) read if you like the Rabbit MC and Wolf ML type but also avoid if you dislike it.

MC is a lazy gary stu, but not an annoying one. Rather he's cute and fluffy like a rabbit. He just want to live simply and happily after his miserable past life.

ML is the typical cold abstinent overbearing ML, but he take... more>> care of MC really good.

The pacing is great. I like having a sense that everything is gradual. At first ML was only curious, MC was avoiding everyone, and the villain wasn't bad from the start. Then it kind of snowball butterfly effect. After some of the plot was revealed, it's a bit bland in a sense that everyone became archetypical. Overall if you're in the mood for something sweet and fluffy then this is for you. <<less
