Please use proper spacing and paragraphs. With the rising tide of steam power and machinery, who can come close to being a Beyonder? Shrouded in the fog of history and darkness, who or what is the lurking evil that murmurs into our ears?
Waking up to be faced with a string of mysteries, Zhou Mingrui finds himself reincarnated as Klein Moretti in an alternate Victorian-era world where he sees a world filled with machinery, cannons, dreadnoughts, airships, different machines, as well as Potions, Divination, Hexes, Tarot Cards, Sealed Artifacts…
The Light continues to shine but mystery has never gone far. Follow Klein as he finds himself entangled with the Churches of the world—both orthodox and unorthodox—while he slowly develops newfound powers thanks to the Beyonder potions.
Like the corresponding tarot card, The Fool, which is numbered 0—a number of unlimited potential—this is the legend of “The Fool”.

the main character becomes a "seer" meaning he can see the future. Right now it's not so straight forward and he has to advance in his powers. It will be interesting to see if he actually gets combat powers with the seer role he has chosen.
LoTM turned generic
I don't understand how he described LoTM as "devolves into a generic supernatural series". This work is far from generic. Every cheat-like abilities that the MC Klein Moretti (aka Zhou Mingrui) hold later turned out to be accompanied with severe consequences, price, or immense risk. There is always a proper explanation for everything. This alone sets LoTM far apart from 90% web novels. The plot is intriguing, the mysteries are nerve-wracking, and the horror is real since most of it are at psychological level rather than boring, easily predictable powerful enemies that ended up getting face-slapped Or easily resolved later. Then, about the "poor plight" things
About the story of Audrey betraying Hall Family, from my perspective it isn't something major for the arc itself, and only serve as mood building (to raise tension). The main focus is the battle between high sequence beyonders that would happen not long after. So it's understandable to finish it quickly rather than elaborating further since it isn't even the main dish. Why? It depicts that in front of God-like beings, human suffering is considered almost nothing of their concern. What Audrey did in that mortal upheaval is in line with her personality and upbringing, something a beyonder at her level usually won't do.
First, I commend him for his detailed explanation on certain aspects of this work, also he did say his review is heavily influenced by his bias. What Im going to write isn't something to rebuke him or anything like that, but simply a counter-argument from a different perspective so a potential new reader can use it as references. First about Klein Moretti being a hypocrite
Personally, I think this is what make Klein Moretti likeable to most of LoTM fans. Why? Because it makes him more relatable in a sense to us, real human. Klein's hypocrisy is a kind of what we tend to have as well, albeit on different level for each person. Not a kind of hypocrisy that easily invite our irks. It does leave a bad taste, but we feel helpless not to do it ourselves and feeling related to Klein in a way. In short, Klein's hypocrisy is what make him more human, something he desperately trying to do in order to fight against the madness from his increasing Godhood. A feeling to do good things even though I consider myself not a good person. Praising a particular politician that my boss at work favored even though actually I feel disgusted by the said politician. I personally think Klein as an MC is rly fit for this work. Not likeable yes, but relatable and feel like someone u can easily find in real life. He isn't a saint and isn't cruel either. Just trapped in a dilemma of morality. He is simply your average guy. About Audrey Hall as a Marie Sue
I actually agree with how he described Audrey as a character. But that's it. For me personally, Audrey's role as a Marie Sue is perfectly fit for LoTM. Life is unfair, some people got it easier than others. It's something normal n happened everyday in our real world. What make it interesting is that how The rest of the Tarot Club's members treat her to achieve harmony (and later, unity) despite their contrast differences in personality and upbringing. It shows that both Klein and Alger as the earliest members of Tarot Club along with Audrey are already matured enough to handle a Marie Sue like her. This in turn make Audrey the most devoted member of Tarot Club, and the most loyal towards Mr. Fool. Imagine they both ridiculed and took advantage of Audrey in the beginning, it wouldn't benefit the Tarot Club in the long term. Klein himself acknowledge that Audrey is a pampered and silver-spooned lady but he strangely feel he can't hate her. Instead he feel that Audrey's infectious cheefulness is a good thing for the Tarot Club as a whole, as it helps other members to lighten their mood in the increasingly depressing story. My conclusion is that Audrey is a Marie Sue, but that's exactly her role and it fits perfectly for the Tarot Club. It would be far less interesting if Audrey was someone who also experienced hardship like other members. A s*upid rule
First of all, this isn't a shounen manga with young MC and side MC. All of the Tarot Club's member is already an adult, with Audrey being the youngest and she does act like a girl her age. Your example of Gon and Meruem arent exactly correct for LoTM. Both Gon and Meruem are still young. What Gon did wasn't a character development, but outburst of intense emotion. After he recuperated, not much change occured to his personality (not that he didnt develop at all, but it's just not a major change of character). While what happened in Meruem can be considered a drastic change in character development, but again, he is actually very young, even younger than Gon. His life experience is still little compared to even teenage human. It is understandable why he could change so drastically after experiencing a rare kindness for the first time. That kind of development can't and shouldn't be applied to LoTM, where almost all of the Tarot Club's members are already an adult with solid perspectives of life from to their upbringing and experience. Adults can't change that easily like teenagers in shounen manga. Adults almost won't drastically change their personality and character that have been built for years. That doesn't make sense. Then, for the so called "s*upid rule". I think Night Ghost slightly misinterpret the action of "acting" required for a beyonder to digest his/her potion to further advance his/her sequence.
"Acting" is about act, to act like what a potion's name describe. The main point of "Acting" is not to forget that you are only acting, not actually become the role itself. In short, do not lose yourself in the act of "Acting". Technically, it has nothing to do with limiting your own character development. If your true self developed into different kind of character not because the influence of the potion or "Acting", then you can be considered as "still yourself". Unfortunately, Cuttlefish didn't give any example in LoTM, but I found it normal since like I explained before, LoTM is full of adults who wont change their character drastically like teenager MC in Shounen mangas.
