Even though it was through sheer coincidence, he became the sole survivor.
The stricken ship fell to the planet below.
Alan alone managed to get to an escape pod.
Alan the Imperial Army Officer wagers his survival in this savage world on the symbiotic nanomachines (nanom) in his body.
The world he landed on was home to a prosperous human civilization, which seemed to have a strangely similar genetic pedigree to himself.
In this puzzling fantasy world of swords and sorcery, Alan will live to the fullest alongside his comrades.
What will Alan achieve in this strange world?
A Science Fiction Fantasy in a Middle Ages setting starts here.

This really becomes clear when you read the manga (which has much better pacing, and focus).
If this has a LN version, read that instead, or better yet, check out the manga.
1. It's sci-fi mixed with 'magic' elements and not quite isekai.
2. I always like the more scientific magic instead of pure 'we don't know, but it's just magic' magic. Some kind of reasonable cause of the magic is better than just 'because'.
3. The MC is light hearted, and can be vicious when need be. Good mix.
4. The MC female companions are not too idiotic. They seem to do things like normal people would.
5. The world building isn't too shabby. I can picture it easily thanks to the translators. Good job. NOW... the warning. This story reminds me of sci-fi writer DAVID WEBER and his SAFEHOLD series. In that we have 1 lone MC with super science tech out to change the world by upgrading it from medieval tech level to 25th century tech levels. WHILE in SAFEHOLD series it took about a dozen big arse novels to get to STEEL battleships. This story on the other hand should NOT be expected to follow the same steps. The Japanese writer is doing a LITE version of SAFEHOLD series. I suspect tech advances and world wars (yep, SAFEHOLD had a war between continents over tech advancement and ideology, will be quick and dirty and not take a half dozen books to go through. Maybe. All the same, I do like this story. Even if it's a SAFEHOLD lite version.
