Not Harem
-
- For a cultivation and Isekai novel, this has logic. The author explains almost everything, which is why there are close to no plotholes.
Cons: I'll be honest, I can't find any con for this story. The only thing I can really think of if we really want to go out of the way to find wrongs in the novel. Is that sometimes the change in perspective is confusing. There is filler description of everything. And this makes the pace a bit slow. The MC as some people would call, is "balanced". But, he isn't interesting enough (not on the smart side, nor funny, just a guy cultivating with some advantages). Certainly not an average novel about cultivate, fight, upgrade, find treasure, blah, blah and repeat. World building is good in terms of political aspect (MC's country/kingdom and opposing countries). Similarly character development seems good, due to just too much descriptions and the political aspect.
Seems much similar to Monarch of Evernight. Slow pacing and not OP MC.
FUN FACT - There is romance. But its just MC falling head over heels for a girl at the first sight.

- After vol 10, it gets significantly better, with alot of stakes and more important events occuring. There's not much to say other than that there weren't many flaws in the execution, people were behaving as their character should, and events followed a rational progression. It was just a solid story with a solid ending.
Overall, I found the writing for the vol 1-9 to be very weak, while vol 10-16 make up a very solid story. I have mixed feelings on this novel, because while the writing is solid, I don't agree with the optimistic outlook of this novel and the way they portray the inherent good of humanity. However, in the end, I would consider this a good read nonetheless, especially the latter half of the story.-
- The characters feel authentic, they love, they hate, they grief, they change.
- There aren't many arrogant young masters, might feel like that early in the story when he is younger, but the real enemies have more depth then that.
- The world building, while the world is small so far it has a lot of depth, the different empires feel different from each other, and even within the empire there are internal factions with individual motivation that don't always line up. There is also room to expand the universe, hints of unexplored land with possible powerful civilization and cultivators.
- Cultivation is toned down, cultivators don't suddenly break thru one realm and start splitting mountains, even the most powerful cultivators (introduced so far) are human, they can be exhausted and killed if you throw enough regular soldiers at them.
- MC has a pretty OP ability, but it has limitations, the MC does not always get the outcome he hopes for even after exerting all his effort.
- The fights are depicted in great details (double edge sword, as it can get wordy at time)
The Bad:First he sees himself as a traveler from another world. After spending time here and meeting all the new people, he gets attaches and starts working hard to protect what he has here.
-
- No harem, the women actually have personalities and make their own choices.
Cons:-
- Villain's are crappy, few are well created and have reasons for their actions, others are arrogant young masters.
Overall a well written novel with good characters, good plot progression and a fun story. I recommend it if you can stand the slow pace.
