To escape from this cursed game world.

[Embrace a death befitting a villain]

I failed on the first run.

But I resolved once more to escape this world…

“I missed you, Kyle.”

Yet the heroines who once loathed me began to plead for my affection.

Mediocoer atleast. The author try to bring story combine between manhwa Penolope Eckhart story + manhwa The Villanes Must Die. But with a bad way.

Every women is twisted and has they reason why they did a bad thing before regressed. Then become obssessed to MC that they thought 'Kyle', unfortunately 'Kyle' already dead and change to MC soul.

MC is... Well, someone who have a cold heart. He can kill inocent person so he can go back to his world. So egoistist.

This was so badly written I had to make an account just to bring the novels rating closer to what it should be. There are good misunderstands where even though they can make the reader feel annoyed to read they have somewhat of a rhyme or reason. It feels as if this novel shoved the misunderstandings in just for the sake of it with no care or thought. And then when the protagonist finally realized the situation he still didnt care. I would rate it lower than 1 star if... more>> I could. Bad writing. <<less

Mediocre as can be.. Those people who gave this a 5 seems to not have read up to ch 20+ where it just feels so off.. I honestly don't understand why the the first heroine started falling in love with the MC when she hated him throughout her life.. Like come on now, first heroine found out MC is not really bad and all of a sudden she loves him?, he is now the most precious thing in the world to her? I don't think that's how love works lol.

The... more>> story has a decent concept but the execution reeks of amateur writing.. As example of this is when second heroine was having a moment where she says she would likely never see MC again, and MC saying he would lay low to not meet second heroine and his family. Two to three chapters later, he goes to a ball and meets all three heroine which gives away his location.. It's feels so s*upid..

Also third heroine is supposedly MC childhood friend, is a princess, and is supposedly in love with MC all this time, yet for some reason in their last life, she did nothing to get MC to notice and love her.. She did nothing and let first heroine marry MC. She is the freaking princess for freaking sake, she should have the power to get MC cause she has the power to do so. Yet she did nothing, and now she wants to do something in the regressed life for some reason now?

I'm sorry but this is one of the worst regret, regression, harem stories that I have read.. The author just don't know how to properly execute a story and give the characters a solid foundation for their reason of regret to actually have meaning.. It all falls flat imo.. <<less

Very interesting story!

The plot and introduction got me hooked and the main character is really likable.

The way the main character acts and his personality are very well written and the way the story make you sympathize with him make him so much better, like bro you just understand why he likes and dislikes and so on.

I recommend the novel!

A fairly mediocre read. So far, it's just the women who treated Kyle like sh*t (and much more) in the past suddenly feeling sorry for themselves after having come face to face with the consequences of their own actions (which are given ridiculous justifications in an attempt to get you to sympathize with them). If you want a junk food read that'll give you some catharsis, I guess this will do decently. The novel can be summed up as one giant Woman Moment™.

Spoiler

Isabel (on the cover) treated Kyle like sh*t and ended up mu*dering him because of rumors and ridiculous misunderstandings, with no attempt by her at all to investigate or try to even verify if the rumors are true. She hates Kyle pretty much from day one and acts like a psychopathic Korean girl. Luna, the sister, is even more absurd, as she torments him and almost kills him due to neglect (but it's okay, because she was actually protecting him! Don't you feel sorry for her now?).

[collapse]

I'm sure the Princess has an equally dumbass reason for acting like a sociopathic b*tch, but I'll never know because I'm dropping this slop. <<less

I means... I understand the concept but what is the point of every heroine getting their regression alongside the protagonist?

They are supposedly on the good spectrum of people, and the character the Protagonist possessed is truly evil, at least this is what it should be, but I feel like the author decides to "desecrtly" change this sitting to a normal guy gets mistreated and no one understand him.

Anyway, what I find unfortunate here is the author intention to make all the heroines regress with their memories and of course deep... more>> regret, even though the protagonist himself acknowledge that he will be the ultimate evil, we should somehow sympathy with him because the heroines mistreated him (the villain)... and I find this tasteless, the author could have just made the main heroine the only character that gets her memories from the 1st attempt and use her drastically different actions in the 2nd attempt (alongside the protagonist) to guide the other heroines into getting more active in approaching the protagonist to discover his secrets.

My final issue is with beginning of the novel, the protagonist clearly completed his quest but for some absurd reasons his 100% clearance becomes 98% after his death, this is just too boring.

He get to redo everything because some unknown reason that wasn't explained or justified.

I can't help but be disappointed at this.

Also, the novel original chapters until know is just 22 chapters and according to the translator, the author is actively changing the settings and maybe there is a chance he would improve it. <<less

I had thought that a korean author was trying to write a novel similar to the chinese villain with a system novels but, this has been quite a surprise.

The initial start of the story is pretty solid as the MC really doesn't act OOC one bit in his first run in the fantasy world. But the way he immediately discards any thoughts of repeating same sh*t in second run and tries to resolve his dilemma using other methods (trying to obtain a Holy relic instead of depending on system) .

So far the novel has been entertaining and the MC's way of not acting like pushover because his opponent are heroines and not explaining everything to everyone just because they ask is refreshing as in some novels characters just keep... more>> spouting off dialogue even though no one asked to.

Looking forward to this.

Best of luck to the Author and translators too. <<less

Unsure of the reason for optimistic ratings but I understand everyone has their own preferences.

The premise of the story is very flawed. Everyone is a regressor basically and whole narrative is based on trauma and abuse the female characters did during prior life. Now everyone feels guilty and MC wants to run away but nope. Here's the reason for poor rating. For someone who desperately wants to return home, the MC is instead deliberately involving himself in more and more drama as the chapters go on. This isn't going to... more>> be a story about magic or fighting or how smart MC is because he isn't. This is simply a story of MC trying to get payback by being mean, harsh and cruel to people who abused him in previous life and not exactly being very successful at it. He simply keeps creating more drama for himself and others instead of steering clear and finding alternative ways to finish his objective.

Tldr: Not a great story unless trauma, abuse and dialogue based revenge makes you happy <<less

Reading this on SacredText TL, not sure how it compares to the other TL.

MC finally finished the breakup with the first heroine in this chapter. We have yet to see why the second heroine is acting different following the MC regression.

Spoiler

I believe the female knight Diana is the first waifu of the MC's harem.

[collapse]

The author does do a clean break in the relationship following the regression even past the heroine regrets. I am curious how the first heroine will return (I can't think she is gone from the story for good). I am looking forward to learning more about the second heroine. <<less
