Tbh I skipped a few paragraphs at the first 10 chaps cuz it was so boring, I don't wanna drop it cuz I liked the title and decided to read first till ch 20 to see if it's nice. Well it was good, though having those scientific explanations/formulas were annoyingly making feel dumb throughout the novel and kinda boring, nevertheless it was still 'good'.

  • The biggest thing that I hated in this story is that EVERYONE is an EXTRA. Like NONE of his friends or family has a good exposure in the novel. His family did have a slight longer part BUT that was when he k*illed his aunt and uncle. None of his friends have a descent part.
  • Another one is that, how does none of the scientist/engineer wonder how he got those extra terrestrial stuff. It's like everyone's following a script and are not allowed to think otherwise.
  • The usage of real life names of companies and famous people is quiet funny. They had Elon Musk but it's funny that they didn't mention Trump.
I can't add more criticism cuz I've read most of it on the previous comments but I don't wanna miss to comment that the ENDING IS A tr*sh. I really Hate the Ending, like WTF Dude where you goin... lol maybe he's gonna go on a vacation in... more>> another dimension lol But still I hate it. BYE <<less

It probably doesn't even deserve to be read...

It's basically a half bloke of an idiot trying to convince us that a painted sh*t is logically sound weapon of mass destruction.

A ton of sh*t could do that yes but so can a idiot on a throne.

... more>> Writing a scientifically sound novel takes effort, one can't just blabber on about terminologies and say it is scientific.

The usb is "known" to only bring in stuffs from movies which don't break the laws of MC world, yet the first cinematic world he brings an item out of was from... "Pokemon!"

And yet Marvel and DC didn't make the cut XD lol... Writers of both will be turning in their graves if they find this out.

Anyway, the logic surrounding the workings of the usb is sh*t and to top it the "Eddie morra" of this world is dumber than a graduate but smarter than a windows xp.

Confused?

Simply he is capable of spouting details and introductions of stuffs like how siri reads web but he lacks the intelligence of a genius human.

Not that his actions are predictable or anything, he just doesn't make full use of what he has in hands and we can't grasp how a MC on nzt has such lack of creative ideas...

Ex- he is slowly building an empire to take over the world..... ah hello dufus u can literally infiltrate anywhere in the world, and can control anyone, all it takes is hours of planting chips in the higher echelons and getting what you need. Only when an individual or a group strength can't overpower the rest will anyone go slow... This guy is just keeping terminators, AIs, and predator techs like show offs.

And coming back to the movies part, his choices are so underwhelming like the author has told him not to power creep.

Ex- he takes a neutralizer from mib international and the Galaxy pendant from mib 1 but the moron didn't think about the better feasible star gun in mib international. Oh the irony is that he makes guns to use the energy from broken galaxy pendants (which don't have their original energy, but charged by electricity).

Neither does this make sense emotionally, guy loves his parents but still now they are not introduced, not when he quit the college or when he became a billionaire right after. I mean he's got some laid back parents XD.

Yeah basically if you don't mind burning brain cells reasoning the sh*t thrown and just want to see some one lined wish fulfilment then go ahead.... <<less

I gave up after 66 chapters. Author tries to keep things real but messes it up really badly. His expertise obviously is biochemistry and he explains that very well. He has no idea about running a business and that's what this novel is about so it sinks really fast.

For example, the MC sells his invention for billions of dollars. Nonsensical yes. But its okay for story sake. Then author starts about talking about governments for sake of "realism". He forgets that governments, especially Chinese, will investigate billion dollar deals very... more>> closely and if those come from a small, unknown company, you might even have money laundering charges.

Someone might read this review and say I am taking this novel too seriously. Maybe I am. But it is mostly brought upon my author trying to make things realistic. <<less

I really liked this novel. It really has a lot of info dump but it just makes the story deeper and thought provoking. The MC is pretty messed up but if you can stomach that then you can still enjoy the story.

The current problem that I have with this novel is that the meme/antimeme thingy became the main portion of the story and at first it's pretty interesting as relation to science but it got really ridiculous when this horror thing is outside of reality and science can't do anything... more>> about it.

I was really getting into the science stuff BS that this novel has to offer but they threw it away just for this meme thingy. I want to brute force the read but it seems that this meme thing will probably be going until the end of the novel.

The USB device also became pretty much unused for most of the time because MC is too scared to even use it. I wanted to see him more use it to gain advantages in strength but he keeps using to push forward the technological aspect of humanity which he can literally do after he gains enough strength to do anything he wants but it seems the USB thinks that is too unrealistic but this meme thing that is basically the most unrealistic thing you can ever think about can easily be instantiated by the USB.

It just all became boring. Maybe I'll read after 451 later but just looking at the chapters title makes me not wanting to continue.

I was also looking forward to other readers telling here that it will get better but it seems that very few even managed to read this novel to my current chapter lol. <<less

Our MC discovers a USB drive while in school and finds out he can pulls certain things out of the movies as long as the USB drive is powered up.

Now the beginning chapters of him gaining props in the movies that comes out to become real working things in reality is an interesting concept. I had high hopes for the novel. Unfortunately, the author made the MC just develop new things and build up his business empire non-stop.

So the cycle of novel is - bring out technology, develop technology, expand... more>> business. This keeps on going on for 280+ chapters of developing technology and then wikipedia info dump of said science theories. No mention of friends, family, social life, nothing. And then around chapter 280's, he visits home and that's done in 2 or 3 chapters. Back to development but suddenly, the novel changes to a mystery horror genre. So after a boring 250+ chapters of non-stop development, our MC has to solve the mystery of the USB drive with horror/thriller elements. I felt like I was reading a completely different novel. You too, will be like me, scratching your head and wondering "wtf am I reading?"

Another annoying thing about this novel is the author started putting in random person X's point of view to drag out the story. Several chapters related to some new idea or tech the MC is introducing would waste a few chapters. It tries to make the story interesting but it falls flat and just turns out annoying because John Doe is disposable and never seen again afterwards. The reader has no connection with random person X and no emotional ties, so it doesn't work at all.

Talking about emotional ties, I, as the reader was unable to relate to the MC at all. He basically becomes an emotionless psychopath where it didn't matter to me whether he lived or died. I just kept reading because I was hoping it would get better.

At the chapters near the end, the author just ends up taking bits and pieces of different movies and tv series to form his ideas. The novel then descends to a bizzaro mumbo jumbo science mixed with thriller horror elements hot mess. And then it fizzles out like a deflated balloon, the end. <<less

it is what you see but boring. The MC is too powerful. It is basically what your imagination would come up with if you can get technology for movies and that is all.

pros

    • novel's premise is great
    • deus ex machina/op skill is okay
    • no harem
cons

    • massive info dump... its becoming too "naruto filleresque" for my taste because its used as a band-aid to lengthen a chapter... pretty obvious is obvious author, I want to read a novel---not a wall of text from wikipedia
    • most misunderstood the MC they think that he became a psychopath or something... this should've been addressed and overemphasized more (the MC was taking a drug which inhibits emotions hence becoming too cold, logical and calculating... that taking lives is just another tuesday)
    • money exchange and usage is just too.... incredible... and fast paced...

Pretty original story, but the development is strange. For example, the MCs forces have much stronger tech that can bend reality than their last enemy, so I'm not sure why the author went with such a weak enemy for the ending. After all of the science it feels like the author went with a magic enemy for no reason. Overall, most of the story is entertaining just not the ending.

This novel is.. Odd. I think I'd say it's too complex for a wish fulfillment novel. The author goes WAY too deep into description concerning biology and other things. I just wanted to read a novel like A Valiant Life. The MC doesn't even really feel like the hero but rather a villain in this novel. He treats other people horribly, including normal civilians like that girl from his college.

It's just not fun to read. Info dump after info dump makes for a boring time.

Spoiler

One thing that was absolutely ridiculous. He walks into a room, notices that the man in the room has a picture of his deceased wife on his desk but facing outwards, and instantly knows the man mu*dered his own wife?.... What??? Then he instantly hypnotizes the man into killing himself, just because the guy wanted to steal his work??... WHAT!?? I mean, sure the guy should go to jail, but the MC doesn't even flinch before causing his death. This is more than an anti-hero. This is just a cold hearted killer who I can't root for.
