I was expecting a good read because of the good reviews but it became frustrating to read instead. I'm giving this a 3 star because its just good since its not bad but its not excellent either, its just good nothing more nothing less.

Cons:

Spoiler's ahead read at your own risk

1. There's no proper conclusion on the bullies, after the MC slims down they just got shock and the main bully talked to the MC if MC is a transfer student, MC reveals who he is and bully is shocked and... more>> their teacher comes in and the conversation stops there, then MC transfers to a prestigious school and I never heard of the bullies again, just like that after years of bullying thats all they get, a shock, unless the bullies goes out of their way to get owned by the MC, I don't think they would meet again.

2. The heroines are just there to be saved, MC runs out of daily necessities and goes to the convenience store and saves a girl from bad guys, then the girl turns out to be a super ojou-sama and tr*sh talk (it was her butler that did the talking) his abusive twin siblings (they deserved it), too much convenience right there. MC goes to the other world and saved a princess from a general goblin. MC became a temporary model and saves a model from another boxing stalker model. MC watches his classmates play soccer during P.E and saves a female classmate from the stray ball with a super elite kick and goal!! And all the girls fall for MC, like whats up with this repeating troupe?

3 The characters are not fleshed out (yet since I haven't gotten far in the chapters), when the princess was saved from the goblin general she fainted not letting the readers know her better than that she is a tragic princess that getting discriminated because of what happened in the past. Then the MC's new homeroom teacher after transferring to his new school just became known as a female teacher wearing a lab coat and a erot*c loose shirt, she could have been an interesting character.

4. The MC's Boy Friends are much more interesting than the heroines to the point that it made me wonder if there's a Shounen Ai tag...

5. The MC is annoying, I know that he has inferiority complex but he saw his handsome face in the bathroom mirror and he still wonders why are people looking at him. There's also the part where the MC keeps saying that his new classmates in the prestigious school are good people because they treat him on equal footing. Isn't that because you became handsome that they're treating you that way? but well maybe they are good people... whatever.

Pro's?

The MC becomes op and handsome, now there's your pro's. What did you expect? its a wish fulfillment story. <<less

I was lead to this LN from the anime. The concept was interesting. I can't believe I allowed myself to read 13 volumes of this brain rot LN. The MC is the dumbest character I have ever came across from any LN I've read. I wanted to give MIKU a chance, but he/she NEVER gave the MC any character development besides upgrading his powers.

Spoiler

Yuuya is a doormat with GOD level OP abilities, the guy just lets things happen to him. He's a YES man and never knows when to say NO and if he does say no, it's never firm. How is it a possibility that you can't be firm on saying No when you the MC can literally crush and obliterate anyone. Yuuya saying "NO" should put the fear of GOD in them (Since most of the characters knows about his capabilities). For a character who has god abilities the author always writes how he SUDDENLY WENT DEAF when a female character says something on the lines of "I want to date you/marry you/f*ck you."

Miku wrote such an over powered MC that he had to find dumb ways to make the story progress. Example, after a heavy battle, some how Yuuya needs to spend several days to rest and recover strength. Yuuya has a portable bath that literally instantly rejuvenates anyone using it, also he has his piggy familiar Akatsuki who's basic job is to use Sanctuary to heal and the little guy conveniently was not around to speed up Yuuya's recovery. OMG the f*cking "love interests" besides Kaori (she's forgiveableish), everyone is so annoying ESPECIALLY LEXIA the f*cking princess who keeps dragging the MC to do sh*t that he has no business doing. She's a constant glaring problem, every time Lexia wants to visit Yuuya, she's putting the lives of her personal guards in EXTREME DANGER, because of Yuuya's home base is in this DEATH FOREST. MIKU is so lazy at writing, he could have written a way for Lexia to contact Yuuya, but MIKU says NO?! It's more interesting that faceless side characters to risk their lives and die for the selfish princess' whims. How is Yuuya constantly having all these convenient things given to him, but in regards to Lexia he can't do a damn thing about her.

It becomes such an issue when Yuuya is literally becoming a weapon for the Isekai world and everyone is using him. f*ckING DOOR MAT!!! Also how is it that all the leading female characters instantly falls in love with this idiot who can't talk to them beyond one word responses and constant self doubting.

MIKU doesn't realize how big of an issue it is for him to write Yuuya's willy nilly granting people access to travel between worlds.

I should have f*cking dropped this LN on Volume 9 (but really I should have dropped it after the first chapter of volume one) the writing for Vol. 9 was extremely lazy and obnoxious, this is suppose to be a fantasy isekai but MIKU introduces a space battle with the MC INHERITING AND PILOTING A MECH. Also f*ck Merl and her Planet, the Dragonians should have wiped them out.

Update: 08/21/2023
I can't believe the author would bring Lexia in to Yuuya's world and attend school... He is so hell bent on making sure every female love interest is within arms reach for Yuuya. With the way he's writing this, I would not be surprise if he ends up writing how all the love interest is willing to share Yuuya amongst themselves. *facepalm* At this point of the story, practically every side character is planning to or is manipulating Yuuya to do whatever they need him to do. Even though the internal monologue clearly states he doesn't want to do it and right when he's about to say No, he'll always be like"well I'm nothing special, so I should f*cking put other's selfish needs before my own comfort and wants." Because this f*cking idiot doesn't know how to say No firmly. (f*ck you MIKU!!!) All the female characters lose all characteristics that differentiate themselves from one another, the only one that you can tell is different is Princess Lexia, because he wrote her to be a complete pain in the ass.

Obnoxious Adventures:
Yuuya travels to heaven to fix heavenly problems... *eye rolls* Gains heavenly powers from the journey.
Yuuya travels to the underworld to fix it's problems (granted it was Yuuya's unintentional fault from fixing heavenly problems). The author forgets that he wrote how Yuuya was brought to the undereworld to help patch the underworld barrier up with his new heavenly powers, and instead of using his new heavenly powers to do exactly what he was brought in to do, Yuuya was then asked to f*cking train with the spirits of The Sage, Bow Saint, and Yuuya's ancestor, to prepare to fight the Meiko, this sealed evil being in the underworld. How did the objective of patching the barrier turn into let's kill this demon. *facepalm*

You would think it can't get any more obnoxious than going in to space finding a Mech, then go to Heaven and fix God's problems, and lastly go to the underworld and kill the "ULTIMATE EVIL"

NO! MIKU has the audacity to f*cking bring in MULTIVERSE/parallel worlds because he's running out of ideas of problems to fix. f*ck YOU MIKU!!!

I don't have a problem with him writing about fantastical places that he wants to bring his characters to, but he barely spends time or even elaborate about the places. "Heaven/Upper Dimension" for example spends about 2 pages of writing imagery of a blank canvas, he's so lazy or lack the imagination, he writes Heaven is barren because everyone who has Heaven's Authority can build their own image of a place for themselves... LOL. When he writes about the underworld, he basically doesn't, he just brings Yuuya to it and meets the people who's going to help power him up, Yuuya solves the problem, brings the new girl home, the end. Reading the afterwords of the author in the volume makes this worse, becaue he literally tells us, he's been wanting to write about going to heaven and going to the underworld and then he pats himself on the back. I'm like "bit*h you barely wrote about it, you just had Yuuya gains some pointless powers to solve some dumbass problem."

[collapse]

MIKU constantly repeats himself (as if he's trying to fill pages). A character would explain things to the MC and MIKU would write the next paragraph thinking to himself the exact same thing you just read. It was extremely frustrating every time he does it (and it's not just a few times). Instead of trying to fill pages with garbage, why doesn't MIKU find ways to fill it with character development? MIKU needs to f*cking take notes and review them before he starts writing a new volume, he constantly would forget the things he wrote and would completely retcon/break what ever logic there is in this story in the next volume. This is why it's hard to write overpowered characters who has everything to solve everything. He becomes boring because he wrote himself into a corner, now he has difficulty writing new interesting problems to solve. *eye roll* MIKU just ignores everything he's written and just forces what ever problems there is to move the story along. I keep running into situations where I remember the MC having this specific item or this specific ability that would immediately solve the problems the author came up with, but would somehow convinently not mention it and carry on with the obnoxiousness.
Spoiler

This mother f*cker of an author forgot he gave the MC teleportation powers with NO f*ckING COOLDOWN to the ability. That can solve so many of the issues he written for Yuuya. smh

[collapse]

If you haven't started reading this LN. JUST DON'T. AVOID. ABORT! Reading this LN kills braincells. Just thinking about this LN makes me angry. I hate bad mouthing Authors, but this one needs to be said. MIKU self inserted himself as the MC, it's a mirror of him wanting things to happen in life but he himself is not proactive in making things happen in his real life. He wants the world and things just to fall into place for him (just like in the LN), while he sits back and enjoy the experience. My dude needs to go outside and touch grass and ACTUALLY learn to talk to people. Clearly from the conversations he wrote in the LN he has no idea how people act or would react in the circumstances he put characters in. People would defend this kinda writing with "it's not real, it's just a story" but just because it's a story, doesn't mean it should be completely devoid of reality of how people would act (because clearly he keeps writing Yuuya with "I'm just a normal person that's not special"). Reading through it all I can feel how the author is just exited to hit the next major set piece, because everytime there is a low for the MC to relax and maybe give character development, he just skips it by writing a simple sentence of "it's been two weeks/it's been a month since... whatever happened" just to rush to the "exciting" parts. I see some reviewers pointing out there is no time for character development because he keeps getting pulled into the next major event. I'm so confused, are we not reading the same story? Because after every major event, the author writes in some down time where Yuuya can live his life and allow non-existant character development, MIKU just finds it boring and he's too damn lazy to elaborate the "non-eventful" stuff, so he'll just keep it simple by giving it some short time skips.

I'm am amazed that an actual publishing company is publishing this in actual book form. Did the publishing company not review his work entirely?

Update: Maybe I was a bit harsh in the review. But I expect better from a genre that's being written to death. Is all Harem stories the same, where the MC is worthless? Maybe those of us who enjoy this genre is because we can relate to the MC. Deep down, we're all pathetic losers wishing life would just hand us sh*t we don't deserve. We just want beautiful women to love us even if we're worthless pathetic excuse of an existance, because in reality we're all "Deer in Headlights, " when talking to the opposite s*x. LOL. I want to read v14 just to see what other bullsh*t he came up with to pad out this garbage, but my god I don't think I have the mental fortitude to tank it, V13 was sooooo hard to get through, because it's just a repeat of every past volume with the same story beats. I kinda wish there is a group of masochist that's willing to finish the whole thing with me, so we can just talk mad sh*t about it. LOL <<less

JUST READ THE PROLOGUE AND 1ST CHAPTER IF YOU THINK THE MC IS NAIVE AND CAN'T STAND HIM THEN STOP READING, NOTHING GOING TO CHANGE IN THE COMING CHAPTERS/VOLUMES. GO AND ABOUT THIS NOVEL IN THE TRANSLATOR'S DISCORD THEN START TO READ OR ELSE YOU ARE GONNA WASTE YOUR TIME.

Don't even think of reading if you are looking for a novel with a solid story. This is just your cliché isekai novel for wish fulfilment.

There is nothing new. The story is haphazard. As in most isekai novels, the MC is... more>> naive and dense, when I say dense, I mean he's lacking brain cells. When something happen he would say "huh! Did I do something?" or "They are looking at someone other than me, I'm not that popular". When the heroin or any girl touches him he would squeak like a pig (like ueeh) he is.

I don't like to talk sh*t about authors but that author should use his brain to make some solid plot, Whatever happens till not is just to praise the MC, like there is a convenient fire where he saves girls get praised and there is a delinquent attack in school where he gets praised and when he does sport everyone praises him. The whole story is just to praise the MC like "Ho you're so amazing YUUYA" or "As expected of YUUYA, and it gets annoying real fast.

The only reason I read this far is that I read "Pure Love X Insult Complex" and in that novel the MC is naive and he can't even talk properly, and I had to read 800+pages of disgusting r*pe and slow story to get to the actual story, which turns out to be super amazing and I thought this novel is like that and read till Volume 4 and what it turns out that it's just a novel written by an author who didn't have the brain capacity to come up with a solid story. <<less

MC is a ret*rd, he can't figure out simple things like wtf bro you have OP powers and can't do shit. The MC has EQ level of a 12year old, nope I've seen 12year old who have higher intelligence than him. Literally he's so dumb. He uses mental enhancement and other skill to look away from b**bs, like is his mental health really so weak, that this mf has to use skills.

Spoiler

He goes to a town near the forest and suddenly remembers that he doesn't have money. And the first thought this s*upid guy has is to sell the stuff from other world. Not the loot he earned from the forest but the stuff from another world.

[collapse]

This mf sells pepper in the Guild, with the packing it came from Earth i.e., Glass (I think). Like really ret*rd move, but still I guess his brain can't come up with anything else. And another thing it says he was bullied cause of how he looked, but still I think that's not the only reason. Main reason would be that he's insanely ret*rded. Like ok dude you're ugly, but why are you s*upid?

So at the guild the master suggests him to take a "rideshare carriage"

Spoiler

"Um, if you're going to go to the royal capital, why don't you use the rideshare carriage that regularly leaves from the rear gate?"

"Rideshare carriage?"

"Yes. It's a carriage that goes out to the royal capital at regular intervals, but if you're registered with the merchant's guild, you can ride it for cheap, and with this, you can definitely get to the royal capital without a map!"

[collapse]

It's literally in the name ride-share carriage..... What do you think it means? This mf is even more frustrating than DORA <<less

My head really hurts reading this

I really hate this kind of "s*upid & dense" MC. He seems like have no brains at all. Just doing whatever he wants without reason, and just go with the flow.

Here one example:

  1. "why he think im a noble?... oh well"
  2. "why they think im a noble... oh well"
  3. "why people keep thinking im a noble?... oh well"
Another one:

"... Come to think of it, I read in the description of the complete recovery herb that it was "Hard to find and at the legendary level". I knew it was just that hard to find, but I didn't think it was an actually legendary grade."

Shit

Basically, he is just a brainless shit. <<less

Lol this is like literally living embodiment of male power trip fantasy.

You want to abandon that ugly fat body and get typical all muscle manly man for free? Check
You want isekai to run away from your ugly reality? Check
You want super OP no work needed cheat power? Check
You want external validation of self-esteem using your power from others? Check
You want to date hot model ara ara onee-san or beautiful blonde princess or black hair model student or (insert typical hot women preset) ? Check.

Why not 1 or 2 star? 1 star is for something so bad it would give you PTSD, if you searching specifically for typical dumb op harem isekai, this is pretty decent.

The premise was really promising with an isekai but he can travel between both worlds and the execution of it was pretty good at the start, a nice balance between both worlds but then the author just start heavily focusing on the isekai world instead, earth moments are more of power checks and comedic relief but even then it's kinda an expected result and cliché.

The MC is also very generic with confidence and intelligence issues. Confidence wise he got a massive improvement at the start of the novel but no... more>> real growth after that and he until where I've gotten is still a massive idi*t. (No surprise generic Japanese character)

Although I say this, the interactions are somewhat nice and that really get me to read till volume 8, some are wholesome others are okay to say the least, at least nothing to terrible I think.

The thing that ticked me off about this novel is in volume 8 if you want to read the spoilers go ahead but if you don't, then just know that there will be an introduction of a different genre which does not suit the premise of the story

Anyways spoiler!

Spoiler

At volume 8 the author introduced aliens from outer space to the story and also multiple universes with a massive powerhouse country or something, the story so far was basically getting to familiarise yourselve heavily with the isekai medieval world but then new water was splashed in which didn't suit for me so I've basically already dropped it because of this, if you like new alien sh*t in a story welcome to this novel but for me, I'm out!

[collapse]

Overall good premise, terrible execution after the start of the novel, generic plot and just okay story (also there are some cringe stuff within the story so be warned) gives this story a 3 start for me <<less

I wanted to like it. At first there was some promise, I had some sympathy for the main character, and was rooting for him. As the story went on I got sicker and sicker of the main character. Super powerful yet constantly scared, no character growth whatsoever, does superhuman things and the people around him do the stereotypical anime reactions, shrug it off, and move on.

There is some stickman plot but honestly I had no invested interest in it at all. I think the biggest problem with the LN is... more>> that it feels like its written by a kid. So many stereotypical things like beta MC, girls falling in love with him but he’s clueless, MC does crazy sh*t in the real world like sending a ping pong ball through a table and no one questions this, you get at least 5 or 6 anime exclamations per chapter (you knows the ones where all of a sudden everyone is suprised by something the MC does or the MC is suprised his attack doesn’t hit), and along with the anime exclamations fights devolve into written sound effects like so many LN’s. Anyway these are just the ones I can think of off the top.

There are two locations the character travels between, the modern real world and the fantasy world, and neither one is really all that developed. The modern world has no point to it, there are some subplots with his family, school, and side job but after 4 volumes it’s still not leading towards anything. The fantasy world has only been taking place in a forest until volume 4 where we finally get a new area.

I stuck with this for a while but will finally be dropping it. I think by volume 4 things are going off the rails and I have no more f****s to give for the story or MC. <<less

Yuhuu I made an account for this novel.

Well, well, well. The problems I have with this one can be put to two categories.

Categorie No.1 - the first few chapters

The first few chapters introduce the main concept behind the novel and let you understand the MC, their relation to the world around them, and how they interact with it. Now I'll skip over the cheating part. Some novels give the MC ridiculous things at the beginning some do it moderately and some don't at all. This one belongs to the first... more>> type, it is what it is, there's no point discussing this you either like it or not.

My main issue. The MC. Put simply he has two big problems: 1) Being a passive MC (and let's skip over the fact that he's a f*ing id*ot). This means that the plot moves him and not the other way around. And mind you he's even bad doing that.

Things just happen and he goes with it. No goals no nothing whatsoever. Even after he encounters his big opportunity he's just sooo indecisive. He has so many options to go with. I very much liked that this MC has a choice in deciding which world he wants to focus on.

He could use both worlds' best at the same time. He already has VERY OP stuff to make the isekai world his B*tch and his "system" allows him to convert all the loot he has into real cash, making him able to make our world his B*tch. And what does he do with it? Absolutely nothing.

Problem 2) He F*ing needs emotional support from everything. His self-worth is so low that when we have a clishé "Some random b*tc*ass person comes to him for trouble and MC has to prove himself how much better he actually is" he either requires another person to do it for him or he f*ing feels bad for basically standing up for himself. Wtf.

Okay now category No.2 - The character development

There isn't. That's it. Like, there's none.

Honorable mentions:

-1 dimensional black and white side chars

-beta dense soyboy MC

-contradicting writing

-repetitive and lazy clischés

-Author in general doesn't know what the f to do with the story

-gary stues and mary sues f*ing everywhere

-elementary school level comedy

-harem

-harem but since MC is "beta dense soyboy" he hasn't even noticed yet

-lots of cringe

-omg did I say how s*upid the MC is

-I say it again for good measure: he's an *diot

btw that 3 star review was a mouse slip and I'm too lazy to have two clicks to fix it. I'm so done with this novel I don't even want to waste that much time with it. 1/5 star <<less

Even assuming this is a slice of life, every day lucky guy kind of novel, it's a real turn off.

the MC does nothing but whine about his ugliness, his cowardliness, and his laziness... if he did not have an appearance, he could at least have a character.. I'd rather read about scumbags resenting the world than this guy who's just wiggling about like a sea cucumber..

well what can I say he was bullied I was bullied myself a lot in elementary just to put it in prespective how I saw this story. He did go trough a lot was phisicaly and mentaly abused ok didn't look good ok nice start lets see some improvment that kind of experience makes you better person makes you deal or bear with bad stuff better you start to think for yourself later on but NO he got his body in good shape magicaly he saw his face in the... more>> mirror others said that he looks good I know his self esteem is low but you start to get better at some point right you start to open up and try to get friends or connections wich boosts your self esteem right you start to see meaning but no everything is brought to him on silver platter. Books right f*cking books contain all knowledge you can get with no practical experience classic japanise wision of highscool being the best thing wich pisses me off so much. Then girils flock form every direction in shape of damsels in distress gets some character then get posted on "MC trophy pannel" and their brains rot I was expecting him spare the materials for some atempts at crafting I love MCs wich craft their own sh*t but no he gets op weapons at start one shotting stuff and wasting all materials on converting in currency (money has no worth in itself what you get for it has) his social skills doesnt grow at all he is still akward yea I know its hard to talk to peapole for first time but not soo much and his unability to reject stuff up front like NO I wont go there or I have other things to do see ya or im not intrested. The last thing and the worst is lack of consiquences for his actions in real world any normal person would start to question what happened to you if you f*cking accelarated a damn ping pong ball to a speed of bullet and destroying stuff. Plus him letting princess to get to his house and inability to kill assasins just because she is a giril evil comes in all shapes or sizes for example imagine a 12 old kid with ak 47 trying to kill you are you going to shoot back or try to talk to him ? <<less

It starts with your typical jap novel were the MC is weak, bullied and isekai. But come on theres no hardship, no thought out planed and no direction.
Spoiler

Just MC picks up spear and killed a monster then levelled up beyond the limits of humans and he gets handsome goes to school, gets transfer by the beauty he save, gets popular but stayed the same weak willed and dumb or dense MC (does every Jap MC needs to be dense). And the logic of how he get isekai because of a door in his grandparents home? They didn’t even own the house in the other world.

[collapse]

How MC learned how to use every weapon and martial arts?

AUTHOR:the answer is books and skills

How did MC learn magic?

AUTHOR:from a dead sage that was the owner of the house full of legendary equipments, elixirs and learned the profoundness of magic (basically I can almost do anything with magic) and had been favoured by GODS to become one with them...... but died mysteriously inside the forest.

Why monster drops weird items and why MC gets 100% drop rate of legendary items from monster?

AUTHOR:weird items?cause MC NEEDS THEM. And the drop rate of legendary equipment is basic luck of MC. cough cough

Last question. Is 3 girls the max number for the MC?

Volume 1 was ok, typically fat ugly protagonist gets a cheat that makes them skinny and attractive (so not overused) also super kind and doesn't dislike anyone even the people who bullied him. Not much else to say about volume 1. Volume 2 is where it starts going off the cliff. Expect any girl that appears to be a damsel in distress (either the first encounter or later on) Author forces things to happen in his world to make him show off his otherworldly abilities like using magic in front... more>> of cameras and crushing the floor also. MC doesn't suspect anyone especially females, if they appear to be in danger then he'll save them without knowing if they are bad. I could go on and on but like people have stated it's just a authors wish fulfillment novel.

this is like a fried chicken coated with chocolate then boiled with coke then served with mayonnaise.

the story is all over the place. It could have been nice if he just concentrated on moving from earth to the other side but the author just put anything that is so useless to the supposed to be "nice story".

Who the frick wrote this, garbage, I was just casually strolling by checking Weak to Strong tag, and I read this the concept was good but the execution was bad like who the heck thought a series could last 8 volumes with this freaking MC, his personaltity is infuriating and never changes, his idiocy is impeccable Im seeing another novel and I love that MC because he was OP but changed his personality from a ruthless behavior to a more thoughtful side from finding the light of his life. I... more>> swear to God, this series brings nothing but OP'ness of this MC, I can't read this anymore, I swear to God, the only ones who would find this enjoyable is someone who genuinely doesn't love novels and just wanna write bad written stories.

You should've just added more plot and ended it in volume 3, cause I swear to my christian self, I will never read this again <<less

  • Review written as I read Vol 6 (I lowered my rating from 2 to 1 after this)
This story deserves 1 star, I gave 2 for the sole why I continue this novel, which contains a specific rare trope: Heroines moving in between the worlds (Both isekai to Earth, and Earth to Isekai).

Otherwise... It feels like a seriously Gary Stu with an extremely dumb MC with cheat life. I'm surprised that this is the same author from the hilarious Shinka no Mi, because that novel is great, while this one... more>> is the opposite... No, rather, maybe that's the problem, while Shinka no Mi has an MC that is absurd, yet wants to be human, and that is always taken as a joke, in here we have an MC that is absurd, thinks he is human, and there is no tsukkomi, so it ends up being taken seriously, which ends up terrible.

-----

So, for the general plot, MC has a portal to another world in his house left by his grandfather, he can go in and out at any time he wants, on the other side, he is on the "Sage's house", someone who seems to have been the strongest magician of the world, surpassing even legendary creatures, he inherits everything in that house, from its "permanent Status Boost food" to its "Absolute Weapons", and later on, even the Sage's crest allowing him to use any magic he can imagine (While everyone else in the world is limited in what they can do with Magic, with people from Earth being incapable to do it because they don't have a crest from birth).

Because MC leveled up thanks to the cheat equipment, he turned handsome, went back to Earth, and his life also went through a turn around because he casually turned into a one-time super model, and he was invited into a "super elite-school for good people", and yes, there are many rich people there, but it's actually for people with good ethics and morals, yet, they are basically a super elite school that has all quality stuff, it's gigantic, and everyone wants to join but can't... We even get to see a generic super Nerd being super friendly with the generic sports handsome guy as an example (This should be already proof of how nice everyone is, right?).

----

About MC, he was some ugly fat dumb protagonist, described and recognized as such, literally (If his smell could kill, he would be Seiichi from Shinka no Mi), everyone in his family hates him besides his grandfather who took custody of him. MC claims that he tried to study as best as he could, he exercised to slim down, but nothing worked (I wonder if the story will claim it was a curse in the far future, because these traits are just too forced). Thanks to his grandfather, he has a "Heart of Gold". So you can imagine that after his change, he turns into a generic super handsome OP guy with a "Heart of Gold".

Ah, and the portal has an "Sell" function, meaning that if you carry isekai materials through the portals, you can sell it automatically for Japanese Yen (it gives some bullsh*t causality explanation to explain that it will not cause inflation in the economy), so he is also rich from here on and doesn't need to work to survive anymore if he doesn't want.

But don't expect this generic OP protagonist with a Heart of Gold to understand it himself, remember that the world was antagonistic to him, thus now that everyone loves him, he can't understand anything, and just glosses things over, so he goes somewhere, and all the women start talking about his abs or handsome looks, and he can't understand why people are interested in him. And he never learns, in neither Modern Japan nor Isekai.

Now, a point here, I'm not saying that it would be more natural for him to accept his new super awesome self and suddenly forget his past experiences. I fully understand how that sort of thing is, and I do not complain about that. What I do complain is that, this sort of character is just not interesting to read. If the author had made some extra quirk, like the humor in Shinka no Mi, it could do well, but everything here is serious, is taken seriously, and you are supposed to be take it seriously too...

----

So, the Harem, who are they?

First we get the daughter of the super elite school's director, MC had "saved" her from some thugs when this super rich girl was walking unaccompanied randomly, so MC called the police and ended up as a punchbag to buy time, this girl is the only one who knows his previous appearance, but she has no problem because he had a "Heart of Gold", and so she invites him to her father's super elite school. (I'm sure you are already facepalming)

On the other world, he saves a Princess that was soon to be assassinated and who approached this "most dangerous forest in the world" trying to run away, near the same place where MC casually lives thanks to the Sage's inheritance, the princess is completely into him, wants to marry him, and seems to be very possessive.

There are others later on, although these are hard to describe if part of the harem or not, the isekai part is easier to understand who is and is not because they are pretty straight, and I guess "harems are normal", meanwhile in modern Japan, although many like him, because "harems are not normal", you get useless competition.

------

Then, although it comes a little later, we get a conflict in that world between "Holy" and "Evil", something like the strongest warriors of the world being turning into its protectors, as the strongest in a certain field, and Evil being entities made of the negative feelings that want to destroy the world. The old sage is said to be significantly stronger than both sides, and MC inherited the Sage's ability. Get what I mean?

For pets, we also get a bunch of generic legendary faces, like the typical Fenrir, a super Dragon, and at least one that is actually rare, a boar...

So really, the story is generic to bad, But I do plan to continue reading, the reason is, as I stated above, because we get entities from isekai visiting Modern Japan, and vice-versa, so that interaction is interesting. However, the MC is terrible, the plot devices used are too convenient, and for the most part, the story is just dumb...

  • After reading Vol 8
I feel dumber now... The story was already dumb, but the last 2 volumes, reached a new level.

Vol 7 - The lack of realism of the modern side. If you thought the elite school of rich good people was enough, that pales in regards to this:

Spoiler

Model girl is having an arranged marriage, and gets MC to fake up being her boyfriend. Her father, who is rich and president of some conglomerate, is the one who arranged the partner, and completely ignores his daughter's wishes of wanting to work in the entertainment industry. So when meeting with MC, he gets the partner he arranged to join in. This is said to be the owner of many companies including a casino. The guy tries to get on over MC and invites him to his casino to show the difference in their classes, and the super diamond dense level MC accepts it as trying to get the marriage canceled for model girl

Now, how to isekai stories usually show who is a better man? Of course, it's not through status, knowledge or experiences, but through fights or games, so instead of children's card games, MC wins through luck on all casino games he played. It's important to remember that Casino's don't play fair, and specially games like roulette are obviously are rigged. Thanks to MC winning, the guy gets flustered and shows his true colors, to model girl's father surprise, who never expected this guy, who owns a casino, mind you, to be someone who would do unfair business and even related to underground stuff. So the underground guy decided to send his goons to kill MC, showing nothing of the intelligence he should have to manage such business dealings. In the end, model girl's father apologizes to his daughter for not considering her feelings and stuff.

[collapse]

And then, we get plot devices on Vol 8 that are just lazy

Spoiler

with the Other world resolved, now we get Aliens, so one alien (girl) drops buy, destroys half of his house, then a bunch of dragon aliens comes targeting her, they fight, there is turmoil, MC's house is almost gone, in despair he stops everything, the enemy retreats, the girl shoots her Wave Motion Gun from her arm, and then, with Earth now witnessing what was essentially an alien invasion, the girl triggers a device in her arm that erases the memories of everyone IN THE PLANET.

Oh, don't worry about internet, it also erases all stuff from the internet, cameras, and anything that could led to having to deal with such a plot twist. Now she joins the group, and explains that if he or his Genesis Dragon are revealed, she can erase the planet's memories, in fact, she just change clothes on the fly with technology in the open, not minding who is nearby, and just fixes everything with the technology. Oh, don't mind of side-effects, there are no side-effects, guaranteed by space alien technology.

[collapse]

I feel dumber now.

Well, the plot of heroines moving to another world, it's doesn't happen that much, although lately it does seem to have thickened a bit more... But it's not enough to excuse the rest of this dumbness...

Considering the author, I'm guessing this pile of tr*sh was written in his delusions when he was around 13 years old or less, but the story was so tr*sh that he decided to forgo it, then he parodied it into Shinka no Mi, and it went great. Now having a name, he decided to get back to that sh*t chuuni that is on the level of a Wattpad fanfic, and publish it... And somehow, some people seem to have liked it, and it got selected to be released in LN format...

The illustrator is excellent, but the story...

I feel dumber...

Yes, I had to say it again.

It's important.

I feel sorry for those readers who truly liked this series, do check a psychologist, you probably need help, escaping to this delusion won't help you in your life. Seek help.

I realize not all stories are written for everyone, and everyone has something that they like or dislike, but I do appreciate when the author is trying to convey something to help the reader, but this novel is not one of these, and as much as I dislike not being able to say something positive of things, I did not stop reading by after the first 10 chapters or so, I'm reading up to Vol 8 here, the last one available, hoping that it could get better, or make something more interesting.

When I dislike a novel, I stop reading and usually don't write a review, since I know I'm not the target, but this, along with Unwanted Undead Adventurer, are novels that made me consider reading it on hoping for something better, but betrayed me after making me waste so much time, and I'm pissed. This is why I'm ranting here about this novel. <<less

I'll make this short... Interesting premise and start, became too hard to read because of how cringy some stuff appeared. How bad the MC is at being human. How bad the author's chuunibyou is.

At first, it showed some promise. Bullied MC, abused and all that. suddenly had a Cinderella makeover with the powers of Caped Baldy. it was quite interesting to see the amused faces of the people of whatever sh*t he pulled out of his ass. Modeling, fighting, princely acts.

But everything changed when an MC with no confidence, still... more>> has no confidence attacked. Only the plot and sidecharacters can save him. But when the world needed them most, they turned really flat... They rarely even think anymore. They feel too cardboard. Too dry. Too empty.

Volume 4 passed when I discovered that this was a horrible arc. Rather than horrible, it was utterly, poorly written. I loved the scenarios so far, spoiler alert:
Spoiler

Having to be able to bring a person of Earth, his first harem candidate, to another world. It was weirdly flat. The girl pretty much accepted everything as if it's normal af. Then it proceeded to a girl's talk in which the MC still as dense as a white dwarf star, doesn't realize any sh*t happening.

[collapse]

Anyway, some additional stuff, the MC keeps spouting that he's still weak, he's not confident in being strong enough. Yet complains like hell, or rather makes confused noises when he's
Spoiler

being trained to become stronger by the rabbit from Alice in the Wonderland.

[collapse]

In conclusion, it annoys me that he's too passive, idiotic, dense, super naive, and submissive. Don't get me started on "because he was bullied, abused bullshit". He should atleast think normally like a damned human. not some kind of specie that could barely walk like Bamby! The story has become too childish to even think about. The side characters has become too much of a cardboard cut out.
Spoiler

Example, there's this girl who's trying to get revenge on the humans for killing her beloved master.
Some rabbit says, "Humans, did not plot to kill your master. They were only controlled by a mastermind."
The girl be like, "Understood, have a good day sir!"

I don't understand if the author is tr*sh at dealing with power scaling or just has power scaling where someone reigning hundreds of levels above a weaker opponent gets played around with. I mean, he keeps going back to the goblin general, saying how powerful and fast it was, whereas he was supposed to be way faster than it and way more powerful. The story is too annoying and doesn't make sense. Adding to that, almost every person that he saves, be it a male or female, falls in love with him. It makes you think that they're just going to be added into his harem, but that doesn't happen, only a handful of people get into the harem. Also, the main character is honestly too light-hearted to decline invitations. The main character doesn't think of the consequences of doing things;
Spoiler

he brings royalty to his house in the other world

[collapse]
without thinking they would possibly come back to look at it or claim it. He knowingly takes pictures with celebrities without thinking his face would be known in a lot of places, making him popular. Also, he doesn't think of the consequences when revealing his inhuman strength and agility to people on Earth. However, he does think of what will happen when he took the magic circuit from the sage, which is possibly one of the first times he thought of the consequences. His self-esteem is so low that it isn't even funny, and
Spoiler

he forgives people that tortured him for his whole life in just two sentences.

[collapse]
It's honestly annoying how he treats people that tortured him without contempt, although, it's nice to have a novel where the main character doesn't want revenge.

To be honest, with this much tags on the novel, is it just classified as a joke?

Yeah, its not perfect, but I'm confused why everyone is saying he's making s*upid decisions or lacks confidence like they're surprised. He actively reminds you he's not smart and has been ridiculed and abused by all but one person his entire life till he got OP powers.

On the subject of selling "rare materials":
Spoiler

he already has the strongest weapons (a sword that can cut anything, a spear that never misses and returns when thrown, a gauntlet that multiplies any direct hit an infinite number of times, a bow that is invisible and creates invisible arrows at will, a whip that auto targets and duplicates every swing, and a hammer with the impact strength of a planet colliding with your target) and an armor set from country destroying monsters, what does he need weapon and armor materials for? He could also just go into his back yard and kill these monsters whenever he wants if he, for some reason, did need a material from one of them.

If after first chapter you don't really like MC but hope he'll change or that it just needs some time, you should stop, becouse it's not getting better (at least not anytime soon, because reading 4 chapters felt like torture to me and I'm not going to continue).

I have actually no idea why this has so high ratings. I mean characters in this novel have no depth at all and they will never surprise or even interest you with enything they do. So far anyone appearing was either bad (overall... more>> duchebags, bullying the MC, or harassing some random girl[ in this scenario MC plays a hero to protect them and their reaction is like "oh wow he's so cool" and I guess they're going to be potential love interests, happened 3 times already pretty much the same way]) or overly nice to the MC for no reson and thinking he is the coolest man alive. There is nothing in between. Dialogs are as bland as the characters and inner monologue is also horrible. To be honest descriptions are the best and they're not great. <<less
