A young man who gets into a plane crash while returning from a business trip overseas is reincarnated into another world after being asked by the goddess to defeat the evil god.

It's a pretty solid novel, overall. Heroines are mostly choroines, and plot developments/action sequences mostly follow the deux ex machina line of thought. It's not a bad novel for idle reading.

That said, I think the author kinda kicked themselves in the foot with the initial setup. The main character didn't want to reincarnate - he got guilt tripped into it when the goddess told him that he could save another person's life if he did so - which means he actively doesn't really feel any attachment to other people.

When his fiance ran out of the room crying, and his sister told him dramatically to run after her, his response was "but my father grounded me to this room, so I'll let you take care of it instead." Who even gives that as an excuse?

There are also many forced developments later on, like the MC growing to Level 20 in a single day (his former body took 16 years to grow to Level 18 before his level got reset), the MC suddenly being a prodigy healer despite the setting formerly saying that he didn't study or practice at all, and the MC using leaps and bounds in his logic as a play detective during an assassination attempt. The novel also intensely fat shames the MC, even though we find out later (~c40 or so) that he's only 75kg (~160 lb) - definitely chubby for a high schooler, but by no means obese to the level that everyone should despise him for it (he apparently couldn't even get a personal maid/butler because everyone hated his appearance so much?) ? The deux ex machina is very strong in this novel, unfortunately, but if you put that aside it's not exactly a bad novel. <<less

So far so good, one think I hate about reincarnated in to a developt body is. That that person turns 180 in personality and no one bats a eye.

The prince has a notorious reputation. But those close to him knows that, that is not who he really is.

... more>> The prince was also not useless, but unmotivated and rebellious towards his parents. But he is there for seems useless. Because they failed to understand him. (Not in a misunderstood genius, but as a parent and child.)

Beein compared to his brother every time. Because his not do everything perfectly in one go.

But unlike his brothers who are genius, his ability to learn is much higher (it seems)

Though refreshing is his relationship with his brothers and sisters and is actually good. He is only scorn by everyone else, while his parents though love him, also so is infuriated at him. <<less

It's a quite enjoyable SoL reincarnation. The novel is just fun to read and experience.

However the issues are very apparent. Women fall in love too easily, there is no plot progression or adversity. Most importantly, the chapters are short, a novel of this size/pacing should have ATLEAST 300-500 chapters for the 2 years it's been in production. These 67 chapters would have been 10 chapters in a standard novel.

While I enjoyed it quite a lot this series is never starting, let alone ever finishing.

It's a good read and something I can recommend, Not much of the action part yet but the story makes sense. It's not fast paced but you don't have to turn your brain off to enjoy It.

Quite a good novel, I'm looking forward to the LN or the continuation of this one.

The story progresses at a reasonable pace, and the MC's thoughts and actions are reasonable for the story. He's a well rounded protagonist and his motivations don't seem weak and childish, he thinks through all his actions and the possible consequences as he can see them.

As for the story... It's definitely a cliche harem story, but the reasoning behind the harem makes sense for the world that it takes place in. The only negative point,... more>> would be that the harem builds too rapidly. In 88 chapters he has 3 women in his "harem" plus another 3 that will probably join soon, additionally there are 2 more female characters in his party that aren't in his harem but still sleep with him (sleep only). I think it would be better to introduce the harem members more slowly and develop the characters a little more before they join his harem. Then again with the situation that the MC is in, the pace of the story makes some sense, so I can't exactly fault the author.

The writing is well done, describing the world and the characters in it, I especially appreciate the quick recap of the previous chapter at the beginning of each new one, it fits the story well and is nice to have if you're reading it slowly.

The translation quality is really excellent, definitely one of my favorite translators and the stories they are currently translating are all really good. <<less

This is a nah

The premise itself is sort of OK. The biggest problem is the extensive use of meta knowledge. Too extensive. It's not limited to "Ah, this event will happen this way", no this guy has a fairy that tells him roughly the history of other people

It dampens a lot of the 4D chess that aristocratic stories are good in. Yep this girl is good, nope don't do that, yep this is why you should do this

A lot of expositions where the characters stand around and start dumping infos... more>> that could've been handled more gracefully. Meanwhile his knowledge from back home allows him to do all sorts of OP stuff.

It's good. It's kinda silly at some points. The power distribution is kinda ridiculous.

I would advice you to binge read this though. At least stack 100 chapters.

Cause I went in when it 60? Now its 71 and been stuck there for what 10 months? Yeah now this is just a bookmark in my browser which I rarely visit.

The story is basically fine. The characters are basically fine. The setting is basically fine.

The devil's in the details, though. And the author goes a bit more into detail about things that have nothing to do with the story than he really should, while handwaving away any kind of effort that should have gone into preparing for fighting the evil god.

The author goes out of his way to point out that the protagonist doesn't have specific knowledge about most things, but around the same time in the story he has detailed information on a disease that's been eradicated for decades.

There are various other issues like that which should be minor problems, but they become major problems because the author spends too much time on them, and the way he repeatedly takes casual hobbies and is somehow supposed to be at or better than professional level in them gets boring pretty fast. <<less

When he gives the choice to emilia the girl who fears men to be engaged to him so she doesn't need to be afraid of other men trying to approach her, he mentions the fact that the king, the duke and his father sold him to birth children out loud to the girls, That was very refreshing he didn't hide his dissatification about being forced to get married nor did he blame her since she didn't do anything wrong and offered her help plus gave her the choice to reject since it wasn't his problem if she got over her fear or not because he didn't really have any kind of feelings for her

I recommend giving the story a go and reading the manga first to get visual aid while reading the novel is a good idea <<less

The ideia is nice, but the execution is lacking in some points. The swarm of girls that come to the main character in over 40 chapters is surreal and the development is boring to me. But there are some funny parts.

So far so good and nothing to complain about, if I had one complaint it will be how hard the MC had it at first. What I like about this series is that the characters are well developed, especially the heroines, they're not just one dimensional cheerleaders and you can clearly differentiate them.

This is pretty good and imaginative. The guy wanders around and enjoys being in a fantasy world. The only problem is that it isn't very deep. The MC is impressive and OP because everybody else is just not very bright. It is another of those light novels where things not only work out well all the time, but everybody is eager to look up to MC for flimsy reasons. It starts out with the MC at a disadvantage but then flips the script. So this winds up being a simple... more>> story with cookie cutter heroines and everything going well for the MC. But if that's what you're in the mood for, it is an enjoyable read. <<less

The story is okay. Nothing special. Main problem is the story is on hiatus, and it doesn't have that many chapters to begin with. Also, story is kind of slow.
