First let's get one important thing out of the way. This is not a human translation its UNEDITED MTL. Yes, its MTL that has not even been proofread by a human even once.

The inherent context gets lost because of the translation and so does the name, 'Chris' becomes 'Kris' sometimes randomly. Even the poor protagonist 'Ouga' somehow became 'Ogre' and it was hilarious, but bad.

I think it's really scummy to just post mtl then ask for donations without even trying to make clear that this is just mtl. I instead... more>> recommend just going to the original publisher Kakuyomu and Syosetu novels are 100% free. You can just go there and use google translate to get the exact same reading experience.

Now onto the book itself. This is a generic as hell copy of "I'm the Evil Lord of an Intergalactic Empire!" I recommend you instead read that one. Here the protagonist tries to convince himself that he's gonna be evil because evil gets all the benefits but instead his actions themselves are mostly interpreted as good. Its that sort of misunderstanding trope.

This is executed quite good in 'Evil Lord of an Intergalactic Empire' but here its really bad. First of all there is no character development. Character gets introduced and instantly falls for the MC because of what she thought the MC meant. Second, he's dumb, simply dumb. Liam infact has more plausible deniability because the 'real villain' is trying to hide himself from Liam and thus he thinks this 'real villain' is infact good. Liam infact has fairly good character judgement. But here the protagonist is just living in his own delusion. Having zero situational and emotional awareness, he collapses into an unconfident nervous wreck because one female (at the threat of violence) tells him that she doesnt like him, while the bully is LITERALLY RIGHT BEHIND HER, and the dumb f*ck MC does not even notice. Its his maid that notices it and acts on her own, thinking that the MC commanded her.

you know what, thats enough. I give this novel a 4 out of 10. A cheap imitation of the other novel I mentioned. Plus the 'translation' (questionable) is bad.

EDIT: oh wait I literally almost forgot. His father isn't corrupt. He is not the son of a corrupt lord. The title is just factually wrong. His father is like one of the very few non corrupt nobles in the entire kingdom in the first place. <<less

Translate kind of weird it got miss in context a lot but luckily it's still easy to understand even it's weird more than wrong translation the group stop to update their TOC and link to next chapter too

story just like many story that MC told him self "I'll do bad thing" but literally not bad thing at all (Did he live up until now and know what meaning of 'evil' or 'bad thing'?) I kind of feel MC is Chuunibyou + misunderstanding plot

and most thing I found it... more>> kind of waste is author spoiled everything up so far in prologue and even he spoiled so much he waste 17 chapter and still didn't reach other plot than prologue

it's fun to read without being serious but I hope translate will get better <<less
