When he realizes the MC thinks of him like a dog in heat because of that mysterious ability to hear his thoughts (more of this later), he.... um... literally takes the MC to this anonymous s*x club where, on the stage, an actual dog has been injected with some sort of aphrodisiac. And the MC is supposed to.... you know.... have s*x with the dog. And there's an audience who will be watching them (ugh, excuse me! *barfs*) Of course, I have no idea if this was just an empty threat, as the MC decides the time to make like a banana and split is then and shoots the ML (deserved!), but to even consider it and set up the whole thing is. Well. Despicable, to say the least.

(FYI, this might not be 100% accurate as I read this a while ago) I may be mixing up the order, but after the ML tracks the MC down and confines him, the MC gives in to his demands so that the rest of the people in their resistance group are spared. There's a subplot where the resistance group tries to force society back into equality by making it so that alphas "need" omegas again (with the release of a virus), but I don't recall it being explored in too much depth. The MC also takes care of a child who is related to the resistance group (I think it might have been his nephew? I don't remember 100%). Then, the MC gets pregnant, and his trauma/hatred of the ML causes him to despise his child. Through some physiological phenomenon, he "forgets" that the child of his is his own and treats him lovingly (the ML makes everyone act as if the MC is just the child's relative/caretaker or something, so that the trauma of forcing him to realize he is this child's mother doesn't come back). He becomes the director of an orphanage, goes to take care of the children in the orphanage when the virus (spread by the resistance group) hits, gets sick, almost dies, recovers but is severely hampered in his ability to live a normal life, falls into a coma again, and then dies. In the last scene, the child that he took care of (his maybe nephew) goes to his grave and tells him something along the lines of omegas are equal now, and the novel ends.
