Guide To Raising the Sick Villain

Qiao Lan transmigrated into a novel.

She became a cannon-fodder who was rescued by the heroine after being bullied but was jealous of the heroine because of her love for the hero and ultimately ended up miserable.

When she first entered the novel, Qiao Lan met a cannon fodder more pitiful than her. He was bullied, severely autistic, and had crippled legs.

Qiao Lan: …

Thinking of the male partner who had only been able to live for two years, Qiao Lan had a distressed conscience and began to take care of the gloomy boy.

2 years later, they had both become each other’s lift and the boy would stand up again and be able to hold her.

***

She had seen a passage when she was reading a book about Asperger’s Syndrome. The passage had explained that people with Asperger’s Syndrome generally suffered from “love disorder”. Some believe that a small percentage of people with Asperger’s Syndrome have an IQ far exceeding that of ordinary people, but their EQ is much lower than that of ordinary people. In terms of emotions, they are more like children with blank slates.

That’s why Qiao Lan was so sure that Tan Mo would never like her. He would rely on her, take care of her, and protect her, but he would not like her like a man likes a woman because Tan Mo did not understand this type of emotion.

Some say that some people with Asperger’s Syndrome will never understand what love is in their entire lives. Perhaps a number of people will understand, but in some cases, people on the higher scale of AS are too paranoid and sometimes overarchingly possessive. With this came a large amount of trouble that came from being too obsessed with one person. Few people could understand or handle such love, which leads to tragedy.

Omg this was such an emotional ride! Sweet, sad, fluffy, slight angst. The character development was great and I like the age succession. Definitely a power couple. However, ending was a bit rushed, but I will still say it was great! Chapters 1-70 were greatly translated. However, the chapter after had a lot of mixing with he, she, her, him, they, etc. But for the most you can understand.

Um, this is a fairly standard novel of the trope female lead helps disabled MC. What it does well is the initial set up of bond between our two mcs, you see their affection grow and it is developed very well. But I feel by the end it just feels like the regular cnovel and I have to say her parent were too cartoonish but I get the discrimination and some other things they do aren't actually unlikely, still a very annoying element and very cnovel evil parents stock characters.

I loved this. Lots of fluffs, loved the relation between the leads.

Smart characters who solves problems and misunderstandings quickly, realistically and with proper communication. Each of their action just keep improving their relations.

FL is so level headed mature, patience who clearly delivers her emotion and feeling to the ml. She is one of the best MC out there.

... more>> Character growth of ML is seen as he slowly overcomes his physical and mental struggles as well as his insecurities, inferiority and ptsd.

The only problem is the title, ML wasnt a villian even in the og story and I am wondering why its titled like that. <<less

Seriously SO GOOD. The translator is doing an excellent job, and has kept so much of the original flow intact. I have very low EQ so I went and MTL-ed the rest, but I'll definitely come back and re-read this once it's fully translated.

Only very good novels leave me with this sense of emptiness after I finish them, and this novel was one of them. It was just utterly beautiful from beginning to end. Not a single word or chapter was a waste. Seriously one of the best Chinese novels... more>> I've read (and I've read my fair share).

Both Qiao Lan and Tan Mo were such beautifully fleshed out characters. I usually don't like high school romances but this one had me feeling the giddiness of a first love. Refreshing, vibrant, almost perfect storytelling that I really cannot find any fault with. The characters and the storytelling were so emotionally compelling, I couldn't put it down. I'm grateful to both the author and the translator for giving us such a wonderful story.

I'm now off to find this author's other works. <<less

This was the best novel I've ever read. The MCs weren't perfect people like other chinese novels or manhua

Translator-sama you did a great job. English isn't my native language (I'm arab) and it's only my 3rd year since I started learning it but I could understand ulmost everything I really wanna support you (and the author ofc) but I'm still a student and I have no mony at all (i will do it in the future)

I have no complaint about the story and events this novel was enjoyable and... more>> Worth reading (when I started the first chapter I couldn't stop reading until there is no chapter left (ಥ _ ಥ)

I read it a long time ago and forgot to write review then BOOM. I read the description and all the forgotten memories flooded into my mind *dramatic sigh included.

Really, I still can't believe why I forgot about this but this was amazing novel with a decent characters.

5 out of 5. Maybe I will reread this after this review.

If is just about the main characters, then this book is really good. They had an amazing development, they're cute, and they actually have real ppl's problems, like how we can't guess others mind, or with basic communication.

I don't really know if the symptoms are right, or the author exaggerated, but if she did, then it was not overly so.

The side characters though, sigh. They have no highlight at all. (I MTLed the remaining chapters so I don't know how accurate this is) ... more>>

but wtf was wrong with those psychology students? Who major in psychology and the only thing that person can say about su*cide is that's is 'sad and regrettable'????

Anyway, they have a poor description and no depth.

(Btw, I really admire our FL, Qiao Lan, 'cause I really couldn't do it, like, no way. Not because of anything but her patience, maturity and their two people's world.) <<less

This novel blew me away. It's such a treasure. It's touching and fluffy at the same time. I usually veer away from novels that has mental disability as a topic because it can be very sensitive at times. I read this because I love cannon fodders and villains comeback. In the end, I got a warm, fuzzy novel that really touched me. I wish it was longer.

This is a story of healing. We see Tan Mo as a person who is disabled and is often bullied. I really love how... more>> the author approached the relationship of Tan Mo and Qiao Lan. It was assertive and non-intrusive. I also like how the author didn't make her into a know-it-all. She tried to understand him and often makes mistakes and rectify it. Overall, he always needs assurance and she understands how it should be. The novel often say how these two have become dependent on each other, but it was with reasons. They both have their own set of ups and downs and has supported each other thoughtfully. I really like the character development of Tan Mo.

Tan Mo is so pitiful. He has inferiority complex because of his condition and certain people used these to break him or to make him leave Qiao Lan for their own selfish purposes. This is his weakness and he almost left her too because he is being righteous. The first time, he stayed because he felt he is still needed, but the second time this happened, he stayed because he finally understood, she loves him as much as he loves her and that's why they are together. <<less

I absolutely adore this story

I love how the MC actually takes the time and learn and research Asperger syndrome.

i loved watching the relation between the MC and ML develop and how they actually communicated with each other in times of misunderstandings

The story is quite heartwarming and in between The story shows the family relations between the MC, school and friend relations and gossip

I enjoyed this book so much. Its the kind of book that I'd go back to read once it was done being translated. That being said the mtl was pretty good if you also can't wait to read the rest.

My favorite part is when MC realizes that she doesn't want ML to change and be normal. She loves him for who he is, all the good and bad.

Towards the end you get a little more background about some of the side characters but not enough. I wanted more chapters about... more>> them & their love lives. <<less

I think the title was wrong here. The ML is not a "villain". He was canon-fodder ally in the original plot while FL's OG body was a minor villainess. Both Qiao Lan (FL) and Tan Mo (ML) met during their lowest. Both supported each other and later on became fluffy and sweet couple.

Qiao Lan (FL)

Spoiler

She was a really one of the best FLs. She's mature, reliable, independent, decisive and never whine despite her circumstances. She was an orphan in her 1st life but transmigrated as neglected daughter and bullied student. Unlike other transmigrated FL, she got no "magical" cheats other than being good in studying and later on developed a beautiful appearance.

Tan Mo (ML)

Spoiler

When he met FL, he got disabled legs, psychological trauma due to accident and Asperger's Syndrome. In the original plot, he was supposed to like the OG FL and helped OG ML but later commit su*cide when he's in the freshman year of college thus all his inheritance and wealth was left to OG ML.

I'm glad that he got his own happy ending. Despite his insecurities, he worked hard to conquer his fears to be with FL.

[collapse]

Other than some bullies and Qiao family's disgusting treatment to FL, the whole plot focused on the hard worked of ML and FL in their school and life journey.

As the author said, some details about mental illness in the plot might not be accurate bc other patients got different experiences and circumstances. But I liked that the author included the insecurities of the couple especially ML and how they dealt with it. Plus, some negative experiences and POV of others like Jin Su who got mentally-ill parent.

I liked that the book didn't antagonized the Original Leads or made them evil... I'm only sad that Qiao family's ending was not mentioned in extras. I just wanted to see the demise of Qiao family on how they treated their daughters. <<less

Far off it's a really cool story

I liked the way the ML and FL fall in love... How to express his love for her and overcome all the difficulties of his illness

Really, we should not judge people... you are sick or disabled... does not mean that you do not have feelings... because every person has a beating heart... has feelings... even if it is mental illness or intelligence syndrome or other things It prevents him from understanding feelings in a natural way.... I really liked the plot... nice, fun and... more>> touching <<less

they didn't make it seem as if having Asperger's Syndrome and being paraplegic is something to be ashamed of (I know that many people would think otherwise because yeah, and that some people who actually are can't help but think like that). But I wished the Author put more emphasis on how being paraplegic doesn't lessen your worth, though I guess it is just a plot thing after all

.

The antagonists are cannon fodders for now, there's not much trouble/conflict this far in (CH 64).

(Also I really think it's novels like these where the mob characters are so flipping bipolar and judgemental that ruin my view on how Chinese students actually are, I suppose it's a big school but really? No shame at all?) <<less

I've really enjoyed this story and am currently waiting for more. I absolutely adored Tan Mo the ML but the FL is your standard protagonist just with more common sense. I dislike the FL's family especially her grandma but it gets more tolerable when you realize that soon the FL would show how successful she's become and face slap them so hard.

THE STORY IS SO SWEEEETTTT!

FL really tried her best to get close to ML and slowly ML open his heart to FL.

At first ML doesn't want his leg to be treated but because of FL he want to change to become a better person for her.

Words cannot express how much I love this. It is one of the most fluffy, wholesome novels ever, and despite the antagonists being kind of annoying (especially that Xiang girl that appeared around chap 40) nothing obstructs the FL and ML's relationship and I love this. I've read this novel in only four hours (breaks non-included), and I'm suffering because of the cliffhanger. Sometimes you just mustn't be afraid of the number of chapters!

This is my now favorite novel, with 'Greetings, Ninth Uncle' being the second most favorite.

I recommend, you... more>> should definitely read this. <<less
