I rarely read Males Protag Novels cause I'm reallt into Female Protag, but this story caught mt attention. I really like it. Its not cliche and the MC is not those kind of MC in some chinese novels.

This novel's narrative is a train wreck. It seemed interesting by the end of the 1st volume, but by the halfway point of the 2nd volume, we've gone through 3 genre changes (1 minor shift in the 1st volume and 2 complete shifts following) with the promise of 2 different types episodic novel changes in the future (worlds and missions change the genre completely.) In fact, the novel STILL hasn't told the audience what it's about. It's as if the author keeps getting bored of his own story and keeps... more>> shifting the focus to something new.

The only people who will rate this above a 3 haven't made it passed the 1st volume. <<less

I have to say from the very first chapter I got hooked into this series. The idea is amazing, but what it lacks is a dedicated translation group. This story is 5/5 no questions asked at the moment of writing this review. Maybe it has its ups and downs, but I really want to see how this unique story unfolds!

Incredible. Amazing potential and an actually new concept. Which is so valuable, all the other stories start to get repetitive but this is full of new ideas and its written well, with descriptions that actually make sense and a storyline that pulls you in. Everyone please translate this - even with just a few chapters its already on hundreds of reading lists, so it will already have a reader base the second someone picks it up.

The novel starts wih introducing our MC who has a split personality of a lunatic serial killer. I was expecting a type of crazy like Joker from Batman, but here we have a complete lunatic who doesn't think about anything unless his life is in danger making his whole genius background pointless.

He is obsessed with making "art" out of people he kills, however I always find the description lacking and makes his "art" something I can't imagine and thus makes this uniqueness of his split personality feels like a random... more>> add in.

Now the story tells how the MC is delivered through space time to another world where islands float around in space. When he arrives with other inmates, we have a long description about the world they are currently in. After the long intro, MC ends up in a city of elves as his homebase where we get another long description about said city.

At this point you would be thinking that he travels around in this fantastic floating island space world full of magic and wonders also meeting the many races which exist. But it turns out this is all just groundwork since the novel is about completing missions like in "Terror Infinity" or "Infinite Armament".

This main theme of the story comes out 20 chapters in after long descriptions which end up unused almost the entire story. The first mission has betrayed expectations with almost no fantasy as he is sent to a medieval world where he has to solve a mystery.

After his first mission, the MC moves homebase again, where we get another long description about the place. The positive side about this is that he doesn't move again as far as I have read.

So what brought me to stop reading this far in? It is the fact that almost every mission has a leap in logic when the MC deduces and is conveniently always correct. The MC has absolutely no goals other than looking for new emotional sensations by adventuring in the mission worlds. But these reasons aren't completely unbearable.

The biggest reason is that I am 500+ chapters in of a novel that ends at 800 chapters or so and the power level of the MC is still in the mid tiers, thus I predict irrational massive power ups and until now the author has not touched the MC's past at all which will probably be touched near end and solved at sprinting speed.

Overall 3/5 <<less

Meh. Contrary to what the synopsis makes it sound like, the MC is just a normal kid more or less. He isn't a brutal psychopath that's sick in the head and likes to kill people.

He has a split personality disorder, and the "serial killer" Joey only comes out when he is in danger.

It just so happens that his excessive self defense landed him in prison when he was young, which exposed him to more danger and made him kill more, resulting in the misunderstanding.

So this MC is thrown into a... more>> scifi-zombie-horror-movie-like setting with actual serial killers and death row inmates, and his little party (him, his fanboy, and a big titty loli nurse) starts their survival journey.

Not a bad novel, just not what I was expecting. <<less

Translation speed: Slow as hell, so it is difficult to be interested in the novel.

Novel Review: The synopsis differs from the story. Synopsis gives off a vibe of a cruel, decisive and cold-blooded murderer, but MC doesn't do that. It gave me a vibe of Japanese heroes (of most of the translated novels), MC is shown to be dangerous or whatnot, but he would be 'somehow' able to control himself from making the evil choices. I don't know if it is because we are only 14 chaps into the novel,... more>> but currently MC is shown to be dangerous only by the people around him and I don't feel like MC has plunged into the evil side or is decisive enough.

If the translation speed remains the same, I am pretty sure it will be dropped sooner or later as there won't be many who would intensely wait for one chapter a month speed. <<less

A breath of fresh air, I mean are u serious?? Nobody is talking about offending this and that and actually using their brains, the main char already has street cred nobody needlessly messes with him like typical chinese novels, the world building is so fking unique and new compared to all the reused garbage from chinese novels, best of all the author and the main character has REAL intelligence OMG <3 tbh I don't really believe this is a chinese novel its obviously written by some alien claiming to be... more>> a chinese writer.

Finally no needlessly antagonizing world like typical xianxias and they all have logical incentive to be civilized without any forced agenda. And at the point where i've read its still preparing for the super battles but I can tell this is going to be a godlike novel

Also seriously a badass genius mass murderer with split personalities to fit battle mode and social mode wtf this author is a bloody genius. Overall in most aspects of this novel it pretty much covers up all the bases and theres no stupid agenda or foreseeable plotholes <<less
