TLDR it's a good solid read. The writing and the translation are fine, definitely worth the read.

If you haven't figured it out from the synopsis this is a deconstruction of Beaaty and the Beast, with the princess getting beast treatment. I don't want to spoil much but the character of Alexa is just great. She manages to be a woman and solve her own problems, not the usual strong female character that's devoid of personality or feminine characteristics. The other high point of this novel is how the author gradually unfolds the world. You're never sure of what is going on, but nothing is pulled out of the authors rear end.
