The first reviewer @lyre haven't finished reading this novel yet, so, she only picked up the superficial parts.

So, let me tell you the pros and cons of this novel;

Pros:

    • If you love whitewashing plot, this novel have plenty of whitewashes for you. To the point where even the readers will actually believe his so-called miserable fate.
    • The gong in this novel is very cunning. Some uke protagonist readers probably read the novel called "Everyone knows I'm a good person". Well, this novel have similar plot to that one.
    • For angst readers, I highly recommend this novel because even I, can't endure the heartache.
Cons:

    • The gong is a scum, through and through. In the real world arc, it was revealed that he actually imp**gnated the ML. Well, they had a child, (which I believe to be the same baby from the zerg world). But he refused to take responsibility for the ML after several reincarnations with him. The MC reasoned that he's willing to take care of the child and raise it like a responsible father, but he can't be in a relationship with the ML. According to the author, she can't make the MC fall in love with the ML, so, he gave us a kiddo as a compensation instead. Like, wtf??? I'm not even a fan of MPreg!!! All I wanted is a sweet sugar after all those bitter and painful arcs!!!
    • The whole point of this novel is to whitewash the gong, which means he's an absolute liar. There's no unconditional love, only [system tasks]. He even crossed my bottomline when he gaslighted the ML and made him believe that it was in fact the ML's fault why he became a scum. HE'S A PERFECT EXAMPLE OF VICTIM BLAMER! Fortunately, all shous in those worlds are tough, and they don't show much weakness in front of others. Otherwise, I might feel more heartache.
    • The ML is actually pretty miserable. He knew that for the MC, everything is just a game. But for him, everything is real. His love for the MC is real, so much that he was even willing to travel to another world with their son in an off chance that the MC will recognize them.
    • The ending seems like an open ending, perhaps the MC will learn to love the ML, but sometimes, open endings can be terrible because it doesn't give you a proper closure.
  • Oh, now that I saw the authors name, it reminds me that she's also the same author who wrote the novel called "The Sick White Moonlight Is Dying Soon". Another tr*sh gong who only knew how to ab*se his shou. At some point, I was actually expecting a happy ending for that novel (It's still being serialized), but after finishing this novel, I became afraid that the author would give it another terrible ending. I mean, what's up with those scum settings? Can't the author write a decent gong at least for once?

I love watching scum MLs regret. It's my favourite thing.

Problem here is the ML is not scum. It's written exactly like those other "Make the Scum Gong Regret" novels (w/o the noncon), except the innocent guy is the one suffering while at the same time having been manipulated into thinking it's his fault.

It was still manageable until this arc (unsure which number but it ends at ch 65). Baby ML did nothing wrong : (This angst is unpalatable.

I have mixed feeling for this novel. I probably honestly will rate this 3.5, because MC is a great actor, but the ab*se is too much for my mental health.

First of all, I'm on the first chapter of the 4th world/arc, so I read 3 arcs already.

The 2nd and 3rd worlds, MC has this ambiguous role. Made you confused if he's a gong or a shou. For example in the 2nd world, MC is an arrogant vase star with a crippled young master ML. The setting obviously shouted that MC... more>> a shou. The behaviour (after MC went back) also doesn't scream gong-like. Or is it just me?! The 3rd world is the same, the shous in this novel apparently break all stereotypical shous I've ever read, even the OP strong one isn't this ambiguous between the role and the chara settings in the story.

And then the tragic ab*se the MLs got that made the worlds all collapse. I think this novel need "tragedy" Tag for my dear heart, sobs....

I thought the OG protagonist gongs will have role, maybe a lil rivalry or something. In the 1st world, I kept waiting, then he showed up, and then nothing. By 2nd and 3rd worlds, I don't think I've seen any of them showed up (could be wrong since I read through MTL and there's actually a mentioning of some protagonist characters but I'm not quite sure). The novel description is really misleading, coz shouldn't the OG gongs should have some kind of existence in the world?? It's not like the world changed, it's only the roles got switched right?!

So yeah, if you want to be ab*sed and maybe cry if you're softhearted, then you can try this one. Honestly MC is a sly guy with high talent in acting that he can actually always make a Backup plan in the original story, that can be use when he reentered the collapsed worlds. Dunno if the MLs were truly blinded by love or not, but those trivial things MC planned helped reconstruct the reason why MC was so "scummy". <<less

the story isn't that bad, but I read it because of the seme-protagonist tag and honestly when I read it I had doubts (I wondered if I had looked at the tag wrong, but I was right) in some arcs the protagonist really transmits a shou vibe, which doesn't It made me really like it and not be able to read it until the end, but if you don't mind, I recommend it.

It was more or less good except that sometimes it felt that the names are mixed up and that scum gong played with mls feelings so ruthlessly. As ML said for you it might have been just a game but for me it was all real.

Never seen an MC gaslight anyone and everyone like this before. Triggered my hidden sadism. Everytime I read a new arc my first question is, I wonder how MC will gaslight the ML this time? Surprisingly quite entertaining to read despite the low ratings. Translation is also quite nice.
