The initial idea is neat and I really enjoyed it at first. The heroine takes an interest in him and he gets a cheat to help him navigate situations. But the author wants a harem and things start to make me cringe. There was plenty of fun potential with just the awkward situations that would arise from his relationship with the main love interest but as the story goes on the author just keeps adding new love interests. And each one has their own awkward situations that are made more... more>> awkward by needing to keep his relationship with the main love interest a secret. If you are into that kind of awkward-situation story then there is a lot to like here but it is just too much at this point. Normally I am a fan of harem but not this time.
Also, don't bother with this as a cultivation story. The world is interesting enough but the MC's cheat takes care of cultivation for him so that doesn't really get explored. And the fights are handled easily too. It isn't problematic or anything, just that the focus is entirely on the plot/relationships and just happens to be in a cultivation setting. <<less

I dived into this thinking it'd be a monogamous, passionate romance story, as that's what's the title implied. I can only blame myself for not checking genre/tags, since it's clearly a harem. The character interactions are rather interesting, except for the fact that they've been clearly fed with love potions, as they all just fall for the MC whenever a new girl appears. The MC is also likeable, he's written in a way that he doesn't annoy us readers with all his antics. This is totally a light read, and... more>> there's not much plot in it, it's also clearly a wish fulfillment type, but we do enjoy it so who cares. <<less

This novel is just basically another version of 'Please, I really didn't want to fall in love with my master' except that MC is a villain and b4 he died, he kissed the heroine and heroine saves him to ask him why and then fate messed up sh*t happens. The he proceeds to go like, 'Ok so basically, I will choose to go against fate and become the main character of this world blah blah blah'.

Character development is pretty poor. The girls fall in love for the dumbest reason and... more>> from my POV, these reasons are BS and author is looking for random excuse to force them together.

Cultivation levels make sense but his powers don't. (Minor spoiler)

At the beginning, it is states that he only has High grade ordinary talent and b4 he got 'killed' he was foundation late stage fighting against the heroine who was super talent golden core newbie stage. He loses miserably and basically admits that he can't beat her. Ok. Later on, sh*t happens and he became holy perfect talent. Cool. Get lucky through some opportunity and become golden core late stage so fast and somehow you can fight people 1 great realm higher than you when you previously can't? He's got better technique and sh*t so he can fight people higher realm than him? Bruh thats not how it works. I forgot who but someone in the novel sai that foundation realm is important because you lay the foundation for future blah blah blah typical wuxia stuff. Fine, then let's say that I'm wrong here because system is op and help him.

One of the biggest flaws with most of the novels involving system is that MC gets BS luck and gets what he needs every time. This dude be complaining that the MC of the novel that he transmigrated to is OP and has all those good tools and helper to help him live. Bish u ain't much different. Also, since the MC is a villain going against the original protagonist of the story, the protagonist shouldn't have died this easily but ok.

Also, most characters in this novel got no brains. <<less

Quite bland, the story is just about the MC collecting his harem like picking them up from the road. No big conspiracy no crisis as the story focus more on romance interaction between MC and his harem.

As much as I enjoyed reading this, I cannot give it more than a 3 stars.

It's really more of a slice of life romance harem novel with some comedic undertones than a Xianxia novel. The only thing in that being a Xianxia affects the novel is that MC can have waifus way more powerful than him, and that there is some fanservice action scenes, but it's always the MC just stomping someone even if they're way outside his league.

Read only if you're interested in watching the protagonist constantly flirt with... more>> different girls and having to deal with the antics of said girls.

Also, I can definitely see the plot of the novel fall apart completely and this never being finished, so keep this in mind. <<less

The MC is a gigolo who have a breakthroughs and raises his cultivation. His cultivation is raised by the skill points that he get by the changing a plot. However, he mostly influences on the plot by spending his time in the beds in the arms of different Empresses who have a crush on him just because he told them something like: "Big Sister you are cute!". Seems that in that universe this sentence can "oneshot" every girl-cultivator no matter what cultivation rank they have.

To be fair, during the 200 chapters he had the s*x only with one girl-princess. All other big-shots, empresses, top-cultivators & etc. Are too shy and still virg*n after 100000 years of cultivation.

Taking this into account I can say that if you see a new named female character in one chapter, than you you can predict, that in next 10 chapters she will be added to his harem become his client. Yes, yes, I cannot call his relationship with female characters as "harem", it more like the relationship between male-prostitute and his clients.

The plot is shallow. MC is "villian" and member of "The Demonic cult". However, you want be able to find, what is the difference between demonic cults and righteous sects. I found only two differences:

1. Demonic cults are evil because they are called demonic (you just have to believe that they are "evil").

2. In a righteous sect man is allowed to have one wife and N concubines, on other hand, it seems that in the demonic cult in addition to wife and concubines man is allowed to have s*x outside of marriage.
