Villains (real or symbolic) (male MC, romance/harem)
The MC is male and happens to be the villain himself (usually by setting, sometimes choice) or allied to a villainess (by marriage, fiance, childhood friend). I'll provide a short description what i precisely like about that novel or its execution, or the points of criticism. No Yaoi.
All novels in this list have romance/ harem to quench your thirst (unless I say otherwise). Just having harem doesn't make it bad, only how it's written.
MC refers to the Male MC, the one you are reading as, 'protagonist' refers to the classic 'hero' of the 'original' story. I'll also include till what chapter i've read the novel, sometimes the novels improve as you progress but 99% of the times tr*sh stays tr*sh.

This is one of the first lists I’ve seen that looks good with some nice descriptions on your part
(Apologies the list order seems random, theyre just sorted by my whims, since i already give them a rating)
Currently contemplating making a supplementary list with the already super popular novels like Dungeon defense/ Otome game tough for mobs so they don't crowd this list.
I guess it can also work as an exile for the novels that dont deserve to be promoted...

I've moved some of the novels from this list onto there and updated some of their descriptions.
I have also reordered the first page of this list to sort of better represent the way i'd introduce people to this genre but there's no exact method to it. Along with expanding a bit more on some of the novels i didn't tell much about.
I am still reading and reviewing novels but they don't always fit the requirements for this list, if you want you can look at my account and go to the 'reviews' tab to get an idea what i'm up to. I feel like ive added most of the obvious picks to this list already and thats why new additions are slow.

The Villain Wants to Live was a great read but the ending killed it.
